Lol thanks I almost did
Charming the Captives: 3eA+1eB+2eD 0 successes, 3 advantage

so I wasn't successful.. but that's a lot of advantage ... hmm... any thoughts on spending it??
I guess if my goal was to calm them, I've failed at that at least... hmm...
-
Sorry - the slaves
-
Yeah for sure, Brin will hand the datapad off to Khaine before talking to the prisoners.
-
I'd like Brin to talk to the prisoners in an attempt to keep them calm and rallied like @Ahrimon suggested.
If we can convince the prisoners to trust us, we may be able to collect some valuable information.

Cool Strain Recovery: 2eA+1eP 1 success, 3 advantage

so that's 4 strain recovered I guess? If anyone needs a boost die to add to this check, I still have those two advantage from the last attack.

Brin makes sure his blaster is still on stun setting, takes a moment to line up his shot, aims at the receptionist and...
Blasting Away in Stun Setting: 3eA+1eB+1eD 2 successes, 2 advantage

8 strain damage before soak, and enough advantage to crit
Critical Injury Roll: 1d100 54
Inflicting a 'Fearsome Wound' on her

I'll just provide the next ally with a boost then

Sounds good, I'll flip a point too so we can attempt to end this!!
Firing at the receptionist from behind the desk: 1eP+2eA+1eC 1 success, 1 advantage

****, I was hoping to do a little more than that XD
7 damage before soak, and can I use that 1 advantage to give her a setback if she tries to return fire at Brin?

21 minutes ago, Ryoden said:You are still on the top level.
You could use one maneuver to go down the ladder and another to move somewhere on the cargo deck. It wouldn't be sneaking it would be dashing to a spot with a better angle. That would result in a short range shot with no cover.
Alternatively you could just use a single maneuver to move to above her and shoot down. It would be a short range shot with only one point of cover.
If you simply stay where you are you would have a medium range shot with one point of cover.
I'll do the former option then. Climbing down the ladder and hastily looking for a better vantage point to fire from (second maneuver). Once I'm in place, I'll set my blaster to stun and fire at her.
Just looking to confirm difficulty of the check.
-
How many maneuvers would it take to try to sneak around the desk unnoticed from where Brin is? I figure with all the stuff going on, I can probably try to get around her cover, but it may take too long...

39 minutes ago, Ryoden said:Two to get to him, that's how many he used to get to where he is. Unless you wanted to jump down and suffer the consequences.
Perhaps someone could point me to it. I mentioned earlier that drawing out an item could be done during a move maneuver but now that I am looking for that rule I cant find it.
Point being you will only just be able to make it to where he is. You wont be able to also inject him with the stimpak.
I've always been under the impression that drawing a weapon or item is a maneuver all its own. I'd be really curious to see if there is such a rule!! It kind of undermines abilities like Quick Draw though otherwise...

Yeah I say take the shot -- it looks like she won't go down without a fight now.

9 minutes ago, Ryoden said:She has been behaving and saying things as though she was expecting your attack on this slave brothel. You did not miss anything. She thinks you all are someone you are not.
Ohhhh .. gotcha

1 minute ago, Ryoden said:Coercion is not the only method by which you could achieve a surrender.
Coercion is "Do this thing or you will suffer if you dont"
Charm is "Do this thing because you think it is a good idea"
Negotiation is "Do this thing because you will benefit in these ways"
Deception is any of those three but is untrue.
How you say it matters, and that is why there are three separate skills. But any of them could achieve the desired result.
Also recall that Fzaexx could speak over the intercom.
I would also argue Leadership is do this thing because I said so (provided you're presence is commanding enough) and charm is more like do this thing because you like me XD

I'll give the next ally a boost then

Firing down at a guard: 3eA+1eB+1eD 4 successes, 2 advantage

Maneuvering to aim and then firing down at the guard.. 10 damage before soak and 2 advantage (which I'll use to crit)... although... should I be adding the setbacks for the lights out? Or does that not affect us because we're the ones who are concealed?
-
May as well fire at the guard then! What sort of check am I looking at?

Thanks for being so patient everyone. It's been a busy weekend. I'm trying to speed read through everything that's happened so I that don't hold everyone up any longer, and to make sure I have a good handle on the situation. Could I ask for a summary of the situation below us and the NPCs that are still standing? I think I want to start making my way down to the lower levels too, but I'm not sure how to do that.

2 hours ago, Ryoden said:We are at the bottom of the round. There are two PC slots. @crookedcrown and @Weedles and Fries are the ones who need to go now.
Sorry guys, yesterday was a busy day for me! I'll be sure to post as soon as I get caught up on what's happened so far! I figured it was a safe bet that the combat types would want to go first anyway XD

3 minutes ago, Imperial Stormtrooper said:Now it's personal. S'zish takes 3 wounds, so he has suffered 6, half his threshold. Going to need healing soon.
Just to plan our next move while we're waiting on @Weedles and Fries, would anyone mind if for the first PC slot next round S'zish went after/attacked the patron that attacked him?
Yeah I wanna see that happen XD

Hey guys I haven't read through the most recent events yet - I just wanted to let everyone know that yesterday and today are full of meetings for me. Sorry for any inconvenience, I'll be catching up tonight. With E3 going on and with meetings this week, it's kind of a busy time for me :/
