  1. Yes, to get to 10 activations you have to proxy a pair of commando droids for the sniper team. But with the currently available models you can easily put together a 9 activation list that should be fun to play.
  2. To be fully honest I haven't used them on the tabletop yet. Coronavirus and delayed release has seen to that. But... I bought me two AAT once they came out. I can make an 8,9 or 10 activation list with two AATs in them. Bringing 16 red dice almost every turn on two units with armor keyword and red defense dice, can make up for lower number activation lists. I'll let you know how it fares in the real world once they got the tabletop.
  3. And with this bump, we have surpassed that of most h̶a̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶f̶o̶e̶s̶ disliked siblings. Huzzah to our Legion, huzzah I say. Now only 1.25 million more posts to catch up with the X-Wing forum. 😳😲🤯
  4. After listening this last weekend to one of my favorite podcasts they gave me a crazy idea that I just may have to pull off. What do you get when you combine bits from: Han Solo Iden Versio and Cad Bane? .......... ......... ........ ....... ...... ..... .... ... .. . Well, the first operative to work for and against all factions...
  5. Wow. Those buildings look really nice and fit the Star Wars universe aesthetic like a glove. If only I had a worthwhile 3D printer. 😞

Bumped so the shaming may continue. 😋
  7. Nope. It's mixed quotes from Greco-Roman tragedies and the final words of King Leonidas before the battle of Thermopylae. With star wars legion mixed in for good flavor.
  8. Fellow Legionaries, for far too long we have languished in the shadow of the Imperial Assaulters. Since the inception of our most dearest game, 26 months ago, the Imperial assault forum has been lording over us their status in the FFG forums. But no longer! We are less than 500 posts from surpassing them in the annals of most popular forums. This is no the time to falter my brothers and sisters. No retreat, no surrender. That is Legion law. And by Legion law, we will stand and fight... and d̶i̶e̶ post. A new age has begun: an age of Legion! And all will know that unnumbered Legionaries g̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶i̶r̶ ̶l̶a̶s̶t̶ ̶b̶r̶e̶a̶t̶h̶ posted on the forums to defend it!
  9. First I try not to adhere to any cannon. I don't even try to touch it as they tend to get scalding hot when fired. 🤪 But I think the best looking one is the blue pilot even if it doesn't follow canon color coding for aat pilot droids. All other pilot droids and drivers were blue.
  10. Sorry if this has been answered before but my "Search-Fu" is weak and I wasn't able to find anything similar. The beam keyword states: after performing an attack with this weapon, you may perform up to 2 extra attack using only this weapon. Each attack must be against an enemy unit that is in line of sight, has not already defended, and is at range 1 of the previous defender. When it says "has not already defended" what timeframe is it referring to? -"Not already defended" during this match? Seems extreme and makes beam weapons unusable from turn 2 onward. -"Not already defended" during this turn? Seems more likely the intention but still hampers beam weapons and will force players to always activate their tank first. -"Not already defended" during this attack/activation? Best case scenario giving tank players more flexibility in their tactical decisions and would make double Sabre tank lists a little more viable (even if still kind of meh competitively)? Again sorry if this has been answered before and thanks in advance for your response.
  11. For second edition, I would really like a new core set with miniatures that paint themselves to Sorastro level quality. Is that too much to ask? 🥺
  12. Maps? MAPS, you say? Don't give in Darn-it! I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's stuck in their house afraid of the virus or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's worth of minis, stores are going bust, shopkeepers can't sell us the AAT or Iden Versio. Punks are running wild in the street and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it. We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching the internet while some "influencer" tells us that today he painted fifteen miniatures and sixty-three order tokens, as if that's the way it's supposed to be. We know things are bad - worse than bad. They're crazy. It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out anymore. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we are living in is getting smaller, and all we say is, 'Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my legion and my paints and my terrain (not maps) and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone.' Well, I'm not gonna leave you alone. I want you to get mad! I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot - I don't want you to write to your congressman because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the corona virus and the crime in the street. All I know is that first you've got to get mad. You've got to say, 'I'm a tabletop gamer, God D@mn it! Terrain has VALUE!' So I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell, 'I'M AS MAD AS H3LL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!'
  13. I have seen those and am a little intrigued ...but... the price is not as enticing as you made it out to be. The cheapest magnet rack on the Battlefoam site is a - 10.5W" x 6.75L" (270W x 171L mm) single rack that goes for $21.99 plus shipping. If I want to just add a rack set that fits into my 720 bag, well, that is $140 not including the bag (which I already own) just the racks. Now don't get me wrong as I said before in this thread, I love Battlefoam, I own several of their bags and 25 of their foam trays (bought more since last I posted) but they are not cheap. Unless I miss-calculate when plucking the foam I should not need any other/more transport solution for my CIS. I can see the advantages of magnetic transport trays as they make it easier/faster to transport my legion models to my local store (1.3 miles away from my house) but I've seen too many magnetic models shift and move during transportation and if/when I decide to attend an out of state (read major) legion tournament; I wouldn't trust a magnetic solution to keep my minis safe during flight/transit. One more thing to add is the added factor of having a themed (CIS) storage and transportation option at a far cheaper price option. Please don't take this as a direct attack on your decision to go with magnetic solutions. Everyone's situation is different and requires different solutions that fit their needs, but currently this one fit my needs quite "snuggly".
  14. Smoothbore flintlock (i.e. old Brown Bess), Kentucky Deckard or Spanish 1752?
  15. I know there are no zombies in official Disney Star Wars canon ...... but ...... I am bringing this thread back from the dead. 👻 Just before going into "quarantine" I broke down and bought one of the Apache 4800 cases. Knowing I was going to go "All-In" with a new CIS army (curse you FFG, this is my 3rd Legion army!) I decided to splurge a bit to get them a dedicated transport and storage solution. Harbor Freight had them on sale for $43.99 and now that they come in different colors, I thought I'd buy one in sand color to tie in with my Separatist Battle Droids. I also got a package of anti-fatigue foam mats to use as a foam base for the inserts. First let's go into the case's details. The case is hard plastic similar to Pelican or Battlefoam cases. It comes with 2 pluck foam inserts each approximately 2 inches thick. There's a bottom solid foam insert 1 inch thick and a top egg crate shaped insert almost 2 inches thick. The plucks are about 5/8 inch each (just shy of 16mm). A 2 x 2 pluck out will give you a 1.25 inch square that is perfect for legion model size. The case's inside dimensions are 7" deep (including lid cavity), 12.75" (12 and 3/4) wide and 17.625" (17 and 5/8) long. I used an exacto knife to cut the anti-fatigue foam mats 3mm smaller than the case width and length. This helps in easing the foam inserts in and out when pulling out the minis. The soft foam inserts will compress easily but the foam mats need the extra space to easily slide in and out. I then glued the foam inserts to the base mat using a hot glue gun. Only the solid perimeter foam was glued to the base mat leaving the plucks to be easily pulled to adjust for the Legion minis. The base foam mats I used where just slightly shy of .5 inch thick. In hindsight I could have used a thinner base mat but this one was cheap enough ($7.20 for 4 square feet) and provides a very solid base that will keep the foam insert solid and non deforming. Also it's easily cut with razor blades (best for straight edges) or sharp scissors (best for rounding corners). Once the AAT arrives I can pluck the correct shape in both inserts and cut the bottom of the top insert so it can comfortably rest in 4.5 inches of foam. Lastly here are a couple of pictures of the finished product. Final cost was $51.19 for the case and materials just add a little measuring, some cutting and elbow grease! Next steps are to remove the Apache stickers and clean up with "Goo gone" adhesive remover and then add CIS iconography using a stencil or vinyl decals.
  16. Don't want to impose on you, but could you do the same with the AAT? I'm working on my foam inserts; getting them ready for all the new CIS stuff coming out and the measurements would help a great deal. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
  17. That was a typo, I was typing on my cell. It should have said DC-15A blaster rifle (same standard weapon as clone phase 1 and 2)
  18. Probably Republic Galactic Marines: That would be a sure way to get me to start a clone army. I know they're just specialized clone troopers but the same can be said of the Galactic Empire Snow Troopers (which by the way in the old lore were originally derived from the Galactic Marines). They could movement 1 and steady special time like Empire Snow Troopers but better basic weapons (DC-15) and better heavy weapon upgrades.
  19. I don't believe he changed the weapons, he just added blaster flashes at the end of each pistol barrel.
  20. Great to hear. I still have all the buildings you made for the game back then: the farm, weathervane, the brick buildings and the inside versions after they get destroyed. You sure are an artist. Good to see you (electronically) on another game I also love. 👍
  21. Scott, Sorry to take this into a direction other than Star Wars Legion but, didn't you produce some of the paper/ cardboard terrain for All Quiet on the Martian Front Kickstarter?
  22. Hello all, New Armada player here. I'm not new to tabletop gaming but I'm fairly new to Armada. I decided to buy Rebellion in the Rim to play with my kids and enjoy our time together while school is out for however long the quarantine lasts. I have two small fleets which will probably work great for the 200 point games in RitR but looking at the cards that came in the set a lot of them are pilots for ships that come in the rogues and villains set. My question is, how important or necessary is this set (RaV) to the RitR campaign? Is it a good to have, a must have, you'll enjoy it exponentially more or not necessary at all? Thanks in advance for your response.
