It's like when I would offer to bring cookies to a 6th grade class. For free. Good cookies, too. Upon letting the 6th graders loose on the free cookies, I would hear "I don't like this kind!" or "where's the cupcakes!" or "eww yuck!" or "only two each!?". For free cookies. Free. Cookies.

The beginning of the end for first edition! The end of the beginning for X-Wing! The middle of the waiting for the end of waiting for second edition! The end of this post!

I am really ok with them seeing how things interact in the wild before introducing more than the most basic of flavors.

1 hour ago, Jeff Wilder said:FWIW, some Store Championships don't particularly care if you proxy.
That may be true in many stores, but it can vary a lot. If you're entering an official tournament, it's respectful to your opponents to uphold your end of the rules and bring legal components.

If you're worried about competing in a Store Championship at a store that isn't your true "home store", don't. Everyone is welcome and the store wants you there!

I was going to say that this would only be a problem with Electron Rockets, but then I realized that firing a Proton off would definitely reduce one's electric charge, ionizing the shooter.
Getting rid of the proton also changes your elemental makeup. What are the stats on that I wonder?
Also, once your electrical charge is lowered and you target's is increased, do you tractor towards one another? Perhaps you join together and make a ship molecule. And that's how Epic ships came to be....

I am reasonably sure that @FlyingAnchors was making a joke about how rudimentary the recent 2nd edition articles have been.

I mean @skotothalamos, bah

Except it will be for the whole wave rather than for a single expansion pack. It's unknown if a wave upgrade kit will cover all factions or only one.

38 minutes ago, Cloaker said:What happens when some of these threat builds have upgrades or pilots that wind costing far more or less as the game evolves?
The point of the Quick Build cards and the Threat levels are so that players can use the game right out of the box without needing to download the app. Threat levels are "approximately" 25 points, not exactly 25 points; so it's ok if point values change somewhat later. I do not expect any errata to Quick Build cards for the purpose of updating the threat levels (unless there is an actual mistake).

Just now, BlodVargarna said:Am I the only one who thought she was the daughter of Beckett and Val? I thought that was the “oh this is going to get deep” part of Han and Chewie’s exchange.
I had the same thought, you are not alone.
Edit: Especially because she mentions her mother (and I assumed that meant I was supposed to know who her mother was).

Maybe she's like Cassian Andor. Remember when he say's he's been in the fight since he was six years old?

1 hour ago, Gallanteer said:Actually, the Empire was originally modelled on the British Empire with the rebels being American. Why do you think the Empire is full of upstanding British citizens and the rebels are all cowboys?
Not a bad analogy, but remember that Romans in film are also typically portrayed with British accents.

I am confident that the mobile arc symbol seen on the Gunner cards refers to the turret weapon used to make the attack. It does not matter which arc is used to make the attack, only which weapon. For example, I am pretty sure that the Veteran Turret Gunner upgrade (if Y-Wings indeed have a Gunner slot) will allow a shot in the front arc from an equipped turret upgrade (if the mobile indicator is in the front arc, of course) after a shot from the primary weapon in the same front arc, simulating the double-attack effect of the 1st edition BTLA-4 title.

There were some story beats in TLJ of which I was not overly fond. That said, I strongly appreciated the recurring theme of learning from mistakes, as expressed by Yoda, "The greatest teacher, failure is." This is a much more valuable lesson than "Do or do not; there is no try." My favorite way this theme played out were the mistakes made by Snoke, Kylo, and Rey concerning their showdown. Each saw something in the Force about that meeting, something true, but each interpreted it mistakenly, or incompletely. Snoke saw Kylo striking down his enemy, and assumed that meant Kylo would kill Rey. Kylo saw Rey standing with him, and assumed that meant she would join him. Rey saw Kylo turning against his master, and assumed that meant he'd return to the Light.

I agree.

Its not the leaks that make me frustrated - bring 'em on. It's the length of time between knowing and being able to play (on the table with everything) that's difficult. Oh well, so be it.

is way better than
"X-Wing is fun™." - which is how 1st edition was starting to feel.
