  1. Maybe they were all sent back so Jabba's text error could be corrected and new ones printed. Probably not.
  2. Norra with R7-T1. Boost, TL, and Focus in one action! Heck, anything with R7-T1.
  3. I was hesitant about using BoShek + Intelligence Agent, but I wanted to try it out so I put in on the table in a casual game. I had them on a U-Wing. I was very pleased with the results. I was able to bump into a Defender - Vessery in this case- do a 180 and chase him back towards my edge. I made sure to prevent him from ever turning around. If he picked the 4k, I'd BoShek him. If he didn't pick 4k, I might or might not, depending on what the other moves were. I was getting shots (albeit unmodified) on him and taking nothing from him in return. The remainder of our lists battled it out and I won handily. It's one game, but I think it's got serious possibilities.
  4. Ten Numb + Guidance Chips + Ion Torpedos. This combo guarantees delivery of those ion tokens. The trouble with it is taking advantage of the ionization (which won't land on large base ships) with the rest of the squad. I would love to crack this challenge, though.
  5. An interesting effect of the wording on Unguided Rockets is that the opponent cannot modify the attack dice, either. For example, M9-G8 or R7 Astromech cannot force you to reroll any dice. Things like Kanan's and Rex's pilot abilities will still work, however, because they are changing the number of dice rolled. Any other effect (there aren't many of them) that allow the enemy to modify your attack dice will not work.
  6. I think that without the plasma torpedo punch of similar lists, your two ships won't have the power to erase a jmp5k before torpedoes are thrown your way. Dengar can be quite fragile to such attacks; destroying enemies before they shoot is his best defense.
  7. My first reaction is that Jess's pilot ability is not going to get you much in this list and that Biggs is a better traditional partner for Kanan. A popular such list even has Biggs with M9-G8. Don't get me wrong, I love Jess - but she wants a more numerous squad. I do like the idea of Han Solo crew on an FCS Ghost, though
  8. BB-8 maybe doesn't fit the theme- but this would be a fun list to fly: X-Wing: •Wedge Antilles (34)Integrated Astromech (0)Push the Limit (3)•BB-8 (2)X-Wing: •Luke Skywalker (34)Integrated Astromech (0)Elusiveness (2)•R2-D2 (4)X-Wing: •Hobbie Klivian (31)Integrated Astromech (0)Proton Torpedoes (4)Targeting Astromech (2)
  9. Latts Razzi surely makes Asajj much more resilient. That said, you may be able to get by without that crew in this list since you've got more firepower that traditional Parattani: if you can take opponents out quickly enough, Asajj may not need to endure as long.
  10. I ran this similar list at the Naboo System Open and went 4-3. My losses were due mostly to being outflown pretty hard, it was my first tournament and I had only been playing for about 2 months, so it may actually do better than my performance. K-Wing: •Miranda Doni (58)Advanced SLAM (2)Cluster Mines (4)Conner Net (4)Ion Bombs (2)•Sabine Wren (2)Homing Missiles (5)Extra Munitions (2)Seismic torpedo (2)Twin Laser Turret (6)Y-Wing: •Horton Salm (41)Shield Upgrade (4)Twin Laser Turret (6)Bomb Loadout (0)Extra Munitions (2)•R3-A2 (2)Ion Bombs (2)Total: 99/100
  11. Absolutely, I can't imagine ever putting Engine Upgrade on a K-Wing.
  12. Good points, and I normally love Captured TIE on Ahsoka. This build of her was designed to give each ship a fighting chance if it were the last ship remaining. Captured TIE goes away if it's the last ship remaining.
  13. I'm not sure I'm reading this sentence as you intended, but if you're suggesting that a K-Wing can drop more than one bomb in a turn, that is incorrect. "Regardless of whether you have both types of bombs on a ship, or multiple actions, each ship can deploy only one bomb per round."
  14. Thanks for the input. I felt that Ahsoka's build might be a bit off. Here's what I was thinking: I wanted Ahsoka to have some options available to her if she were the last of my ships remaining. Rey crew and targeting computer allow her to get a double modified shot in the early or late game, and Expert Handling is a good counter to Omega Leader, especially in combination with Ahsoka's pilot ability which would allow her to execute Expert Handling at the start of the Combat Phase, after Omega Leader slapped the target lock on her. Cloaking Device was there to give her some unpredictability in her maneuvers in the end game. This build may not be optimal, and I know Ahsoka won't get to use all of her upgrades each round, or even each game - but she has quite a few powerful options available to her, especially considering her low final cost of 26 points. I am thankful for your thoughts, but I must disagree about her lacking action efficiency; Rey crew allows her to store up extra actions and her pilot ability allows her to choose which of her options to employ after everyone else has made their choices, or to give that stored action to another friendly ship. The Ezra build you mention does sound a lot more resilient, and in fact I'd love to fit Jan Ors crew into this list somewhere. That said, Poe couldn't really benefit from Jan because he wants his focus for his pilot ability and droid, while Ezra and Ahsoka each have the Evade action naturally. I do like the synergy of Ezra's pilot ability and Elusiveness, however. Here he does not need to get stressed in advance of defense in order to ensure his ability kicks in, he can decide at the moment of defense whether to trigger Elusiveness, gain stress and benefit from his ability. And with Ahsoka around, Ezra may occasionally get two actions in a round if needed anyway, somewhat mitigating the loss of PTL.
  15. I have heard it said that many successful lists are designed to either 1) alpha strike, or 2) stick around. This list is an attempt to build a list designed to achieve #2. I welcome any thoughts or suggestions. https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Rebel Alliance&d=v4!s!196:18,-1,78,204:39:15:;222:11:46:5:U.201,U.145;161:16,135,199:-1:-1:&sn=Rebel Closers Rebel Closers: 100 points Poe Dameron (PS9) Push the Limit (3) Pattern Analyzer (2) R5-P9 (3) Autothrusters (2) Black One (1) Ship Total: 44 Ahsoka Tano Targeting Computer (2) Sabine's Masterpiece (1) Expert Handling (2) Rey (2) Cloaking Device (2) Ship Total: 26 Ezra Bridger Elusiveness (2) Twin Laser Turret (6) Cassian Andor (2) Ship Total: 30
  16. I like Stealth Device on Omega Leader; it makes her a less tempting target in the early game, helping to ensure she's around in the end game - right where she wants to be. I don't know if the points might be better spent elsewhere, but it's not a terrible place.
  17. I went on to Vassal last night intending to run my Jess swarm list, but then I saw Rolo finishing a game using Snarc and his opponent wanted another chance against the list, so I agreed. He was running Super Dash with Norra, PTL, Kyle, BB8, Title, Engine Upgrade; i.e., Super Norra. Both ships are super slippery. It started off really well and the Snap Jukers did their magical thing and Norra was taken off the board while I still had everything, although Jess was down to 1 or 2 HP. Dash then proceeded to pick me apart one ship at a time. I think I had the advantage once Norra was gone, but I was outflown. Dash just does a number on me personally. I was glad to see Rolo had success with Snarc, however
  18. Flechettes do not need to hit, the trigger for stress is after attacking a target with 4 or less hull value. You're right about Asajj, but hey, it's a start! Edit: I'm talking a rare setuo, of course, unlikely to happen, BUT, what if I had Lt. Blount deliver an ion missile to Asajj that round, then no green move! ...then probably get my butt kicked in future rounds.
  19. I've been trying to make some combo that hurts Mindlink lists. I've come up with a twist on the ARC stresshog that has some potentially interesting powers. ARC-170 Shara Bey (28): Snap Shot (2), Flechette Torpedoes (2), Gunner (5), R3-A2 (2), Alliance Overhaul (0), Munitions Failsafe (1) Total: 40 This craft can stress one enemy with Snap Shot +R3-A2, then deal 2 stress to another with Flechette Torpedoes + R3-A2, then if that torpedo misses, Shara can follow up with another primary shot +R3-A2 for another stress on the same or different target. In a Goldilocks scenario, Shara could, for example, Snap Shot Asajj for 1 stress (putting one stress on each ship in Parattanni), miss a Torpedo at Fenn Rau (putting him at 3 stress), then use Gunner to fire at Manaroo (putting her at 2 stress). Now Asajj is the only one who could take a focus action next turn, but only if she does a green maneuver - which might maker her easier to predict. Obviously, this perfect storm is not likely to occur - but the Parattanni player will have to make absolutely sure that nothing like this could happen, and that's a form of control as well. What would you put with this Super ARC Hog? Something with Ion Missiles/Bombs/Torpedoes/Cannons/Turret to double down on the control? Some heavy hitter(s)? How could you use the remaining 60 points to either take advantage of this stress machine or help make the stress machine do its thing?
  20. It does say " you may recover 1 shield". I'd suggest that one cannot recover something one never had. To make it work, you'd need Shield Upgrade instead of Captured TIE. And if you're looking for a crew that would help with survivability on a TIE with Shield Upgrade, you could use Chewbacca instead.
  21. Sure. Attack dice get rolled first, so if you get an eye and cancel it for an evade token, your ship now has an evade token. Then defense dice are rolled and you can modify those dice using Juke. If you had a focus token, you could have used that eye result for an extra damage anyway, and you'd wish you had Crack Shot instead of Juke.
  22. I think adjusting things to get Swarm Leader on Jess Pava is a pretty smart move, as you said: it's more firepower. However, in my admittedly few flights with this list, Juke has done more for damage than Crack Shot - just about double I'd say, maybe a bit more. Even so, your suggested change might still be worth it because of the much improved damage potential of Jess. It just isn't the same list anymore without all of the pieces: the Snap/Juke A-Wings being buffed by M9-G8 and Weapons Engineer. A Jess Pava Swarm list might be a better list, though. Drop the ARC altogether for Biggs and leave Snap/Juke on the A-Wings. Jess would have points for Swarm Leader and Pattern Analyzer. The problem is that I just don't want to stop flying the super snap shooters with M9-G8. I keep losing (maybe that's just me), but I get such joy out of those little shots that do so well.
  23. Honestly, probably not well. This list relies on those modified snap shots for damage, and while it's a neat trick, it's not easy to reliably pull off frequently enough. If Fenn Rau wants to get into R1 of an A-Wing in order to do his Fenn thing and delete it, he will take that snap shot, sure, but he probably already has a focus from a buddy with Attanni Mindlink. This is a damage over time list rather than a spike damage list, and I'm afraid it's DoT isn't reliable enough. Fun to fly, for sure - but I think it will take a better pilot than me to make it work (although that's probably not saying much).
  24. Also, Adv Targeting Computer doesn't spend the TL, so doesn't work with Targeting Synchronizer, right?
  25. I flew Snarc last night on Vassal. I ran into a Kanan/Biggs list. Kanan had Finn and Rey. He was ready to apply massive damage. When I messed around with Kanan/Biggs, I had a hard time keeping them together, so I thought I'd delay the engagement to see if they'd get messed up. My plan worked out ok, I got an engagement with Kanan stressed from a k-turn and Biggs about 1.5 range increments away on the other side of Kanan. I had all my ships lined up on Kanan, and was only in danger of his TLT. I rolled all blanks on every attack and defense roll in the first engagement while my opponent rolled better than average. I had to laugh at my luck. In the next round, Biggs got back into it and two of my ships had to fire on him. I blocked Kanan so he only had his 1 focus from his Rey storage. Again I had some bad luck and managed to do only 2 shields to Kanan. Then Kanan started picking apart my A-Wings. His Biggs also had M9-G8 to modify Kanan's shots: very strong on TLT. In the end, I was outflown after my initial setup which I think was in my favor. So, my lack of player skill and a bit of bad luck made it quite a terrible showing for my first attempt with the list. More practice needed! Also, I hope to fly against opponents who are only slightly better than me rather than a lot better than me.
