  1. Concerning getting lightsaber modifications or crystals with high rarity, is it easier getting these because the Jedi hasn't fallen yet and these should be more accessable? Are there any additional optional rules concerning this in the book?
  2. For everyone in Scandinavia, i've got some news! Have been in contact with FFG's distributors in Denmark and they've just got the books in. Should arrive in Sweden within the week, provided the postal service doesn't get delayed. Not holding my breath...
  3. Hi! I need a little clarity about the Force Powers in this game. If a PC performs the Move power to lift a boulder for example, generates only dark points and chooses not to use them... What happens from a narrative point of view? Does she manages to use the Force but the boulder is too heavy? Is her concentration disturbed by her fears or other dark thoughts? Or does she choose simply not to activate the power at all? I never understood this from the books...
  4. Because we live so far apart me and my players have been using Roll20 for the past year and it's working fine. I really like the fact that I can play music and/or soundeffects while we play but I'm trying to go a bit further. I can't alter my voice much and I'm terrible with accents. Does anyone know any program or software in which you can alter your voice, add filters or something like that? My first bet was some music-editing program but it doesn't seem that there's much I can use from there besides from some echo-effect...

  6. Hi guys! I need some opinions: After my group of players just finished a campain that had a pretty linear story, with semi-scripted adventures and a villain that's now been defeated, I wanted to try something new. I suggested that we would continue with a kind of sandbox format where they can decide in with direction to go. They were thrilled by the idea! My plan was basically to plan out a series of adventures linked to each characters personal story and goals, what we have come to call "personal story" in our group. Think of it as every character has a minor campain that revolve around them and their goal. I still use Obligation as a random story element that I implement no matter which characters personal story we are currently going with that particulare session. I still can't escape the feeling that there's a lack of story. With this kind of format do I need an overarching story like a main campain? Or do I tie together the players personal stories into one major plot where the personal stories are key points in the big, major plot? Or should I go back to a more linear plot where the players backgrounds are key moments in the campain? So far I have not had a moment where the players stand in a crossroad, arguing on which personal story to procced with next but I can imagine that not unavoidable...
  7. I've never used Discord before. Is it a good program?
  8. I would probably use both because it makes sense in a combat scenario. Lets say that Kylo Ren is fighting Rey, using his cross guard lightsaber. He attacks, rolls well with lots af advantages and unleashes a flurry of slashes. He overpowers her defenses, sees an opportunity and disarms her. If Rey is attacking and rolls poorly she gains a lot of Threats. Her attacks are sloppy, clumsy and results in her just randomly slashes against Kylo. He sees a window of opportunity in her attacks and manages to disarms her. In the end, its up to you to use either one of the methods or both. Personally I think both works.
  9. Since me and my players are living so far apart we have started using Roll20 to play together, using either Roll20s own chattfunction or Skype, depending on which seems to be working. I always use Roll20 to play music and various soundeffects to create a more immersive game but often the soundeffects activate late or dont seem to be working. I suspect poor internet connection so I'm researching another way to use soundeffects. Any suggestions? Is there another program where you can play these one-shot-sounds besides Roll20?
  10. Oh yeah, you're right! I just found it, cant believe I missed that. Thanks!
  11. I have a player who went through something rough. They were robbing a vault from a criminal organisation on a space station. To escape they launched the vault out of the station while being inside it while waiting for their pick-up. As soon as the ship locked onto the vault it flew to the nearest planet to let the group out. Because of the turbulence the group got bombarded by the containers and the stacks of credits inside the vault during the flight and became buried. One player, who already suffered from previous critical injuries, got another one and endad up on The end is nigh. As soon as they landed the medic helped her and she survived, but it was **** close. Now we are discussing if the player should suffer some permanent damage or effect, because she suffered through all of that and was on the brink of death. I mean, she had concussion and a few broken bones at least. Is there anything in the rules about suffering some permanent effect because of conditions like this like reduced strain threshold or something? Or can she make a full recovery if she just gets the proper medical treatment without any sort of setbacks?

  13. Hi! Me and my players have just finished a campain and I'm currently writing a new one. During this time we are just going to do random adventures and pursue sub-plot that they picked up during the campain. While doing this I want to try a new format and give them as much freedom as I can. My plan is to try and create "adventure-scripts" consisting of NPCs with stats and encounters depending on what sub plot they are following. So if they decide to follow a particular sub-plot, I'll just pick out that page and follow the steps I've outlined there. However, this means that they will have the ability to travel where ever they want in the galaxy but I don't know how to calculate the Difficulty for such a random hyperspacejump. If they are on Nar Shadaa and decide to travel to Mon Calamari, I don't know what to say. In earlier adventures they have rarely needed to leave the system. Is there a way to calculate how far and how difficult it is to travel from point A to point B, where ever these are?
  14. I see. Nope, I haven't downloaded anything except from OggDude.
