  1. I'm like the jilted boyfriend that suddenly finds himself back in the relationship again. Oh how I want to laugh and cry, shout for joy and out of anger, shake my fist in wild exuberance and frustrating disappointment. After such a long wait, I feel like all us 2018 pre-order folks should get something special with the delivery. Like maybe a swatch of Jaime Lannister's Golden Hand (he's not using it anymore), or a mention in the foreword in George R.R. Martin's upcoming The Winds of Winter? You know, something that says we know we screwed up. Make it happen FFG. In the meantime I'll be dropping my son's college tuition on Star Wars X-Wing. Thanks for putting out great products. Please don't hurt me again.
  2. I got an e-mail too! (Dropping to knees, hands to the sky, slowly beginning to sob) FFG does love me! I knew it! I just knew it!!
  3. 9/21/18? Man, that's rough. I'm 12/21/18. It's almost therapeutic sharing our pre-order dates. Maybe misery does love company?
  4. I'm a total sucker. I've let these dudes hold onto my money for near 7 months now and I'm still holding out hope that I get what I paid for. Not only that, they don't seem to care to provide an explanation. This is like a bad relationship. In a few months, I'm going to have to buy my pre-order an anniversary present, and I'm pretty sure I won't get anything in return. I need an intervention.
  5. “And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend. Legend became myth. And for two and a half thousand years, the Game of Thrones playmat passed out of all knowledge.”
  6. Interesting topic. I've not given this much thought. I love the game (despite waiting forever for the playmat), but it is difficult for me to get people together that want to invest in the length of time to play this. Just some random thoughts: A variant on the win conditions. I liked the A Feast for Crows variant using objectives. I certainly don't speak for everybody, but my friends are more casual gamers and they enjoyed his variant more. Updated the Wilding Deck would be great. No complaints about the current deck, it's just there isn't a lot of variety. Adding White Walkers for someone to play would seem to defeat the purpose of some of the tokens that are currently used, but I would love to see them added somehow. Also, I haven't given it much thought on how to address the problem of the White Walkers being more a burden on players in the North. Different win conditions? A different tracker that would cause everyone to lose if they didn't address? I like the simplicity of the plastic units, but there seems to design space there. Maybe manufacturing them is a problem? Don't know. But having different plastic units for different houses would be pretty cool. Dothraki, Golden Company, Wilding Army, etc. There also seems to be design space to add additional house cards from which to choose (limiting the amount and type that can be used during the game, of course). Release the playmat!
