The problem is companies have no idea how long their games will go for. I am sure they have plans set out and a route to follow, but when sales are slow and the game is floundering, at some point they pull the plug. RuneWars is the best example of that. I had heard for their OP they had 8 people show up to the worlds competition. 8. 
Most other OP games are drawing 100+, with a waiting list. At that point it just isn't feasible to support the game anymore, they are LOSING money and this is a BUSINESS.
And while one game is sinking and the player base is getting upset with FFG's silence, there are a dozen other super popular games with hundreds to thousands more players that are out there spending money and keeping the wheel turning on their games development. It's a balancing act with limited resources, so as sad as it is, sometimes your less popular game goes by the wayside and gets left behind. That's business, that's life. Show me a company that juggles this many games and doesn't have that happen.
There is no way a company is going to come out and make promises they aren't sure they can keep, if you want things that up front your best bet honestly is a kick starter. The goals of the game are laid out from the get go, no surprises, no false hope, no pitfalls (unless it misses the mark on funding, of course ).

Was hopping for this or new SW LCG, but ACG will work as well :) Already preordered through my retailer!
This could be even better with lets say 2-3 exp per year, instead of LCG where you are always behind with expansions xD

Having just gotten into Eldritch Horror a month or 2 ago, I have a ton of content to play through, as we have all of the expansions and are taking a very measured approach of only incorporating one expansion at a time so that we get a chance to properly learn not only the game and characters, but each expansion. As such, we have only done the core game, Forbidden Lore and then Mountains of Madness. I am hoping next we will try Strange Remnants. For those of you who have been playing since the beginning, 7 expansions may be enough. Seems to me, that creating more focused packs that have revised investigators, Ancient Ones and maybe even add a few prelude and new mythos cards into things to keep it fun. Having said that, I will buy whatever they add. We also just picked up Arkham Horror and the Dunwich and Innsmoth expansions and still have several to pick up, not to mention play at some point. On top of that I am waiting for the core set of the card game to come back in stock to give it a chance. So for a new player like me, I have far more available than I have the time or money to enjoy.
 

I will echo what AleksDj's comment that they need one more big box expansion and the location should be Arkham.   That's the expansion that I've been waiting for.

Just realized what they are going to do... Legends of the 5 rings. They just started with that franchise with LCG, next one should be something like this, with so much more potential to do whatever they want...

Yeah, I'd think the boxes would take a little longer than the blisters but it does seem like we're due for an August release. GenCon is Aug 17-20 for reference. It'm sure they'd love to be selling the HotE stuff before they announce the next big thing at GenCon...need I speculate?

not sure if they have licence for LOTR, lately i've seen only card games from FFG and Ares is publihing board games....But would love to see LOTR game with similar mechanics. And it would be different enough from Descent. This actually may be an option since they already have a lot of artwork done with LOTR LCG
What i would love to see
1) LOTR     or
2) Diablo (from blizzard, that would be a must buy for me, instantly. And it would be way better that DOOM. It would be different enough from Descent as well)
3) Warcraft (similar to number 2, but with way more variety. Maybe too similar to Descent thou)
4) Startrek (would have so much possibilites with different races, planets, etc)

What that this Below  and underworld alleys  mean? Are we going to have some tiles that will be completely different from the previous expansions?
