I like using Rage, inspiring recruit, overhaul, R2-D2, vectored thrusters
At 37 points it's not absurdly expensive, it's got rerolls and focus for her pilot ability and an incredibly reliable regent mechanic with R2-D2.

I won't get a chance to test it until next week but I just changed my Nym EPT to stay on target as well. It looks good on paper though...
I'll have to report back with how it goes. Let me know if you have success!

You'd be surprised with Nera. If you can get her into range 1 with an advanced proton torpedo she can lay damage down on whisper really quickly.
Even cloaked rolling 4 defense dice your opponent is still at the mercy of luck on the dice while if you build it properly there's no reason why your torpedo shouldn't  be a solid 5 damage when you fire it. It's almost perfect that you have Garven to pass her focus too. Good luck!

First, I have to say that I did not go in planning, or even wanting to win. With the past few months, I've been getting a bit burnt out on competitive X-wing. I prefer more casual games, where both players do their best, but also aim to make sure it's a fun game for everyone. My 7 year old son disagrees and cannot get enough of X-wing, so I've gone to this store championship so he could play his highest level tournament yet. PTL people, feel free to weigh in as to whether the PTL Open was "higher level", it certainly was bigger
Second, I know what you're thinking, "what, just one? Aren't dual Firesprays the new OP ships?" See, the thing is, I was trying Boba and Kath against my son, but I chickened out and brought a different friend for Kath, the awesome Ketsu! While I'd flown Asajj before, I'd never tried Ketsu, and I did have that cool alt art.
First, because I know that's what you came for, a Firespray actually sitting next to a store champ plaque:

This store's awesome TO, who is retiring from the game and trying to get me to take over, has a very nice approach to prize support, which is reflected in this "meager" loot for 2 players. Rather than make it top heavy, he goes from the top down and everyone (to a point) picks something from his pile of loot. This time around, the top 4 loot was excluded and the top 8 got the range ruler, which they could trade for anything on the table. I traded mine for Rey. Then, he rolls a dice and whoever was in that position, gets to pick something from the table, my son took back my range ruler this way. Then, he does the straight up participation prizes. While not as loot heavy as other stores, I much prefer this approach to spread out the wealth while giving first pick to top finishers.

The 2014 store champ ruler I traded my top 4 split ruler for, as I refuse to use something other than my 2016 SOS rulers and my son has his PTL Open ones. Besides, yellow is my middle son's favorite color, so we may get him in the game sooner this way
    The best recap: my son's
As I said, I was there so he'd get to play against someone other than me. He was rocking his triple crackshot Glaives the same that he ran at his first kit tournament last summer, getting a 2nd place out of them. He ended up 11th out of 18 this time, with two narrow losses. He flew like a champ, and, thanks to the Montreal folks making the trip to Gatineau/Ottawa, he got to play all four of his matches in French, I didn't need to translate for him!
He lost to a Ketsu/Asajj list, with an almost dead Ketsu. He narrowly lost to a Fenn/Palob/Asajj paratanni list, by being drawn into the Palob hate instead of finishing Asajj (we've all been there). Then he won against a Miranda/Chewie list and finished the day against Boba/Kath. Lets just say he had a few games worth of practice against me for that one, but it came down to the wire, in a 1h Boba vs 2h Glaive deathmatch.
His red dice were on fire every time I looked over, like this:

And to all of you who want to GIT GUD, here's what he was doing whenever there were no games going on:

Yup, he'd just grab my list, complaining that I should just play against him instead of relaxing, and run matches over and over again until the next match-up was called. I don't know how he does it, but he lives and breathes X-wing.

    My recap
My first match was against the same Chewie/Miranda my son faced. It was ran by a very nice teenager who is getting started with X-wing. It wasn't designed to withstand all the red dice I was bringing to the table though, so it ended quickly.
I was then overjoyed to face a Ketsu/Bossk list just before the lunch break. I stupidly thought "well, whichever way this goes, I'm betting a long break to watch my son play!" It took 70 minutes for Ketsu to finally finish Bossk... It started off with a bang, Kath and his Ketsu bought the farm really quickly. Bossk really put the hurt on Ketsu by splitting his crits too, which he got many of. I managed to start plinking back because Ketsu's arc can move. I finally got my big break when I landed a PS0 crit on Bossk, then went the long way around to get to a R1 final attack from which he couldn't fire back. Brutal!
Up next was a Poe/Braylen/IonHog. I got really lucky that I found a way to orbit a rock with hard 3s with a very injured Ketsu early on. Completely boring to fly, but that was her best move every turn... I parked Braylen on a rock on the second turn of fighting, and finished him with combined attacks the next round. The stresshog had a console fire that he rolled hot for, and my dice all magically evaded his ions, which was a lucky break. I finished the game with Poe facing the rock Ketsu was orbiting and I ran Kath through the rock while Ketsu kept turning. Poe had not expect Kath to go through, so he bumped her while parked on the rock. A range 1 from Ketsu's side arc had him ioned, barrel-rolled him off the rock and Kath had a R1 rear arc shot that came up hit-hit-hit-hit-crit, so yeah, Poe went BOOM!

My final game was against Expertise Vess, PtL Ryad and Omega Leader. I completely messed up my initial approach and Ketsu got lit up while my dice further punished me so that Vessery only lost his shields. I managed to make the situation not as bad by engineering a R1 back arc from Ketsu on Ryad that barrel-rolled her where she couldn't shoot Ketsu to finish her anymore. Vessery, now on 2 hulls, ran away, while Ketsu was doing the same the other way. Ryad died. Vessery and Ketsu made it back on the same turn, but Omega Leader finished Ketsu before she could shoot. Thankfully, Kath's back arc was enough to wipe out Vessery. Omega Leader proceeded to troll Kath, barrel rolling out of arc and shooting unmodified pot shots. Pretty soon, both Kath and OL were down to 2 hulls. I had a choice to make, take the safe move, but potentially die right there, or take the crazy move and hope it pays off. I went with crazy:

So I 1 banked to the corner and took a futile evade. My opponent, sure I was going to do the hard 2, rushed forward. He then had the horrible decision to make. Take a focus, take an evade, or barrel-roll and try to finish me with a R1 shot before I unloaded 5 on him. He went with the focus. I rolled hit-hit-crit-blank, couldn't Dengar or Expertise, so I was hoping. He rolled 2 focuses, used his token and let through a single crit. It was a direct it!

It was a beautiful end to an amazing game!

Prizes were given out and the top 4 was consulted as to "what now?" Two of them made the 2 hour drive to get here and I'm going on a business trip this week and won't get to see my sons or wife so we voted to just split the loot and forego the top 4 elimination. Seeing as I was the only undefeated, we at least had a clear winner already. I took the plaque, and the other 3 guys decided who got a Kallus and who got the bye. As burnt out as I feel right now, I doubt I'd go to another regional. The 9 rounds run I had in February really were the biggest factor in how I feel and I'm still not over it, so I'm not regretting that choice!
It was a fun day with great people. The only downside is confirming that Dany is leaving the game and that was his last hurrah, he will be missed!

So! I took Firesprays to a tournament at Galleon Games in the UK. I've been experimenting with them for a little while but between playing against this Gentleman at Dice Saloon in Brighton and watching Julian's game on the gold Squadron podcast I decided to try them out beyond the practice ranges.
    The list
so, I chucked out all my testing which so far proved only partially satisfactory and adapted Julian's list slightly to This. I agonised over a few changes to builds I've run like VI on Boba but in the end I ran almost the exact shamelessly  plagiarised list swapping out extra munitions for glitterstim.
The damage output was awesome, Kath never got fewer than four hits on attacks all tournament. Fearlessness on Boba? Five hits range one? Yes please! Firesprays are a little squishy, but if you are deleting ships fast it's less of a worry.
    game one - Graham
A lovely chap, relatively new to the game. He brought Oicunn in a lightly built decimator backed by two Zeta /FOs and two Academy ties. he deployed spread out across his edge and tried to meet in the middle in a nice pincer with partial success. I went straight fir Oicunn as he was the only one really sure to do damage and burned him down in two turns of shooting. From there it was hard for him to push damage through. 100/0 win.

    game two - mark
Mark brought a disgusting list of horror featuring Backdraft, omega leader, Zeta leader and dark curse. He set up slightly apart hoping for a flanking attack - backdraft with OL, dark curse with Zeta leader. I feinted toward the first group and blasted the second. There was an uncomfortable turn where backdraft had range one out of his front arc at Boba and rear at Kath, but I got him off the board, followed by Omega and Zeta, but not before he killed Kath. There followed a frustrating chase of not being able to kill dark curse and him not being able to kill Boba. Got him eventually - got to love fearlessness! 100/52 win

    game three - Pete
Pete has played swarms on and off since I met him and us very good at them. This one featured lots of named ties - howlrunner, scourge, chaser, wampa, an academy pilot and Sabbacc. I was dreading this list - three crack shots and a ton of modified reds coming my way meant bad bad things. He set up in one corner, I went diagonally opposite. I tried to draw him through the rocks but he was having none of it, so I turned in to try and catch him with only two ties pointed at me rather than a rank of three. He predicted me and did a beautiful redeploy marred only by his academy barrel rolling out of the way of Chaser but ending up the only one in range of Kath with no token HLC, reroll blank , expertise = four hit vs blank focus evade. One down with no shot. Cool. Next turn I try to turn Kath to open her rear arc - I'm only going to win if I delete a tie a turn, that gives me the best shot I reckon. Only problem is he comes in card and blocks Kath so she's got no shot. Boba bumps, so no target lick for the missile, but range one on scourge. I take the shot and manage to oneshot scourge receiving seven damage on Kath in return. Ouch!kath manages to run while the rest of the ties get stuck around Boba an I kill them without further loss. I don't think he deserved to lose that one - pretty much every move I made, he blocked, but his dodgy green dice couldn't keep up with the consistent four hit attacks coming his way. Sometimes it's a dice game. Win, 100-26.

    game four - Dale
i haven't made a final for two years, and this guy has done regionals around the country, one in Poland and the Madrid open. He's got sparkly dice, and he beats me a lot. Eep! To say I'm nervous is an understatement. He's got QuickDraw with swarm leader, tie d Vessery with tractor beam and Wampa. He sets up in the corner. I bite - lets joust! Last time we played I left QuickDraw alone until the endgame and never, ever again. I eat dice from Vessery who reduces Kath's agility before pouring on the hurt and QuickDraw  piling on. Boba shoots off all three shields from  QuickDraw who pumps more shots into Kath. Kath gets four hits in in exchange and kills off QuickDraw before eating another two from wampa. She's got one hull left. Eep! Vessery breaks off an wampa k turns behind me and is killed by combined rear firepower. Kath runs while Boba goes after Vessery. 100/26

So, 4-0 with sprays and some swag to show for it. Great games and sponsored by a great store. Watch out, they may have a go at store champs next

Don't read too much into the negative comments that dont provide any constructive criticism. Many people have not attempted to even fly a Uwing but trash it all the same. And the only Norra's people fly are the tops in meta lists. Nobody even gave Shara a chance saying she was DOA (or even ARCs surviving without Biggs) until that one regionals (or was it stele open?) with Norra/Shara/Jess
I can see how everything works and gels, and it isnt bad. Heff provides a nice Fullback leading the way. M9G8 + WE is a powerful combo, I used a Shara like yours (but with Draw Their Fire) along with Norra and her TL makes Norra hit really really hard, even if Norra bumps, she gets a nice punch.
For improvements, I would probably put adaptability on Shara to bring her up to same PS as Norra. This gives flexibility in movement, and Shara can fire first and maybe strip some tokens for Norra's shot. I would also look at trying to get Vectored Thrusters on Norra or BB8 for some repositioning. With Expertise, and Shara's TLs, she can freely barrel roll. Dropping FCS on Heff would be my choice for 2pts. That would allow you to upgrade R5 astro to BB8, and then change Rey to C3PO for more protection.

Also, I've used BBBBZ list and a Cassian Andor UBBB list and they were man-handled by decked out ships and higher pilot skill. I think the amount of red dice and rerolls in the current meta is just too much for low pilot skill naked ships to handle.

Expensive version: Constable Zuvio:  Spacetug Tractor Array, Pattern Analyzer, Ketsu Onyo, Cluster mines, Scavenger Crane
Personally I like to go with the cheaper Unkar Plutt build and use him to jam up enemy ships and throw them around while dropping enemy ships defenses for my other ships to pick apart.  The Zuvio build does have its merits though if you can destroy something within range to get a second cluster mine to drop.

This ^  I would also personally change the glitterstim in N'dru to scavenger crane so you can get multiple missile shots.
I would also consider switching his missile to a cluster missile because his ability works on both shots from it, which will almost definitely lead to a dead ship when using crackshot, in turn getting you your cluster missile back immediately.

I like the idea of having a Torpedo of some kind on Nora.  I guess it depends on your meta but if Biggs is prevalent it allows Nora to target lock and fire at what she wants instead of wasting shots into a usually regen Biggs.  My personal preference is the plasma torp though, but it's because I like to use it for more of an alpha at longer range to shave shields off.

I use the proton torpedos cuz at long range she can do more. For me it's to cover better ground for pushing 5 at range 1 and range 2-3 I can do 4. It's just used as my backup really, cuz I don't plan to be far. But like I said you change it if you have more than one ship. But to Max out Nora I use that one. Honestly it has saved me quite a few rounds.

Also tail Gunner would be really good for her aux. It depends do you want more manuvers for Regen shield? Or more offense for your back

    defensively;  PTL, Latts, Title, Gyro
    Offensively; PTL, Dengar, Title Gyro
Combination/Fun; PTL, Recon specialist, Title, Gyro
They're all pretty similar because with PTL and Gyro the action economy on the Shadowcaster is amazing, and I add illicit upgrades if I have the points remaining.  I'm also a huge fan of running Asajj with the Quadjumper to block and for additional tractor beam shenanigans
