  1. Went to my FLGS tonight and noticed they put all of the RW small box expansions on the 50% off shelf. They are selling them for $12.50 and nobody is buying them. That says it all for me. I really like the game, but I don't want to further invest in something that isn't sticking around. Plus, as a new comer to 40k this summer, I find it is a better hobby in basically every way. Just my opinion.
  2. Cool, I really like your ideas!
  3. I mean, they basically lied. Also, this is the second time I've read mention of "secrets" in the scenarios. I feel like they are playing fast and loose with the word "secrets".
  4. I typed mastermind solver into google and the first thing that came up was this http://nebupookins.github.io/JS-Mastermind-Solver/ I personally have not had much trouble with these puzzles and I enjoy solving them, but if you are having serious issues, this solver will tell you what to guess. I do think requesting FFG for the ability to disable puzzles because you don't want to take the time to learn them is a little ridiculous, especially when there are much simpler solutions such as Julia's .
  5. Hopefully this gets updated soon. I haven't started playing with my Dreamlands expansion yet since I'm going through them in order (starting MoM tonight!), but I really want to see the data for new investigators and AO difficulty.
  6. Scenario: Vengeful Impulses App: Steam OSX This same bug occurred on 2 different layouts of Vengeful Impulses. When asking Leland about his work and stating that you are interested in acquiring something, the text produced is... ""Well then, I am sure we could come to some understanding. You should come by my office tomorrow. Bruce Darzi was in there just the other day asking about my wares, and I will tell you what I said then: I have the best selection in five states. Come by, and I will give you the tour" Gain 1 clue." But then hitting continue causes the following text to appear... ""Well then, I am sure we could come to some understanding. You should come by my office tomorrow. May Nguyen was in there just the other day asking about my wares, and I will tell you what I said then: I have the best selection in five states. Come by, and I will give you the tour" Gain 1 clue." Both times we ignored the second text and clue since it does not make sense for him to say the same thing twice and gain 2 clues. But it does raise the question of what you are meant to learn (if anything) from this interaction.
  7. Before last night, my wife and I had played this game 7 times (cycle x2, innsmouth x3, shattered x1, vengeful x1) where we each played a single investigator. We had only won once (the first game on cycle) and the rest were not even close. It's frustrating because it doesn't feel like there was much more we could do. The main culprit seems to be the unrelenting onslaught of mythos events inflicting 3 to 4 damage and/or horror on the same two people every 4 actions. Last night, we decided to replay Vengeful Impulses again, but this time we each played 2 investigators for a total of 4. We absolutely crushed it! I would not attribute all of this success to prior knowledge of the scenario. In our first play through, we both went insane about halfway through and lost shortly after. Rather, if felt we had twice as many actions per mythos and twice the pool of health/sanity to distribute that mythos into. At the same time, the mythos events seemed unchanged. They did not feel anymore severe than 2 investigators, and certainty not twice as severe. Has this been other people's experience? A quick look on these forums suggest that mythos and monster health scale with investigators, but this does not seem to be true, at least in the case of Vengeful Impulses. Or perhaps we have had bad luck 2 player and great luck 4 player? Although, I think we have a pretty solid idea now of how to beat Innsmouth and it just seems impossible with only 4 actions a turn. It's disappointing, because it feels like playing with 2 players is a huge disadvantage. At the same time, playing with 2 each ruins the "feel" as well as the insanity mechanic (we've agreed we will basically ignore alternate win conditions, after all, what does it mean to say Agatha won but Harvey lost when I play both).
