  1. My group finished the adventure and Togashi Yoshi ended up as the new Topaz Champion. So now I don't know what he should get as reward. An armor and katana is nothing a monk can really use. Any suggestion what a monk champion could get?

    We use MapTool and Skype. As there is no Genesys Framework for Maptool we use the one for EotE, but it works quite well.
  3. Found this in the MapTool Forum. https://forums.rptools.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=28057 Maptool is like roll20, but completely free. Used it for years to play Pathfinder.

    After i listen to the "Finding the Narrative " podcast E8 i found my way back here. I did read the thread again and tried to write down my take on Battletech. btw the current HBS game is great. As mentioned before i like simple approaches which give a lot of ways to interpret the dice. So you find no hit locations or complex weapon or heat managment here. First thing I stole from GiantDad219 and just added a defence ratio: Guideline Light Mech: Speed 4, Handling 0, Silhouette 3, Armor 2, Defence 2, Hull 10, Strain 12, 20 tons Medium Mech: Speed 3, Handling -1, Silhouette 3, Armor 3, Defence 1,Hull 15, Strain 14, 40 tons Heavy Mech: Speed 2, Handling -2, Silhouette 3, Armor 4, Defence 0,Hull 20, Strain 16, 60 tons Assault Mech: Speed 2, Handling -3, Silhouette 3, Armor 4, Defence -1,Hull 25, Strain 16, 80 tons second thing i stole is from Edgookin. Only two weapon system per mech Short Range Weapon System Long Range Weapon System I would add a 3rd system : melee, but it is the same for every tonnage range Melee attacks (engaged) Light: Damage 3, Crit 4 Medium: Damage 4, Crit 3 Heavy: Damage 5, Crit 3 Assault: Damage 6, Crit 2 Heat Managment is completely incorporated into system strain. There are new Qualities, manoveur and new actions moneuver Cool down (recover 2 system strain) action: Overheat , you suffer 2 system strain. add the damage of the two range weapon systems together (lower crit rating) actions: Aplha strike. Double the damage of one range weapon system and add the damage of the other (lower crit rating) , 3 setback for the attack and suffer 3 system strain Qualitiy: Ammo, The mech qualifies for ammunition reletated Disadvantage and critical hits Quality: Jumpjets, The mech qualifies for jumpjet related advantages and boost dice so analog to the personal scale as a Mechwarrior you can do a maneuver and an action as action you either shoot the short range weapon system or the long. you can also overheat or alpha strike. and now for the important part.   6. I also use Maptools. I just use the Edge of Empire Framework. If you want you can modify the table in this framework to have the Genesys symbols.
  7. Link to the website is not working: As this is their last chance Shamus flips through the Voynich Manuscript like a mad man. It must be in here. His focus on the book is renewed as the cute lady now seems more interersted in two other guys she is wisphering with. Finally he find the right ritual ( 2 successes). As he is copying the ritual in his notebook the lack of sleep takes its toll. Shamus falls asleep and collapses on his desk. Only to be woken by the loud scream of Ranbir. Not only has his collaps knocked over the candle which set the Manuscript and his notebook on fire (despair 1). the cute lady and her companion approache his desk with knifes in their hands (despair 2). Fortunately he also sees at the other end Abarrane and Terrence entering the library.(2 Advantages)

    Battletech Genesys

    @gilbur the mech write up are for my taste a little bit to detailed. i like it more simple and very few stats. But tastes are different and i have some comment on your design. Why the huge range in siluette? 5 for a warhammer? I would only put mechs in 2 different Sil categories. As you GRF and WAR have the same speed and armor. why has the WAR defense1 and not the GRF. the Griffin is the more agile Mech and has jumpjets.
