I'm not sure if we're watching the same show, because to me, this isn't something that's also in the show, it's what the show is all about. The rest is varying degrees of (excellent) filler, more or less.

I re-watched it and watched closely for this. If you look at the acid attack when the dragon bursts from the top of the mountain, just before the "It's picking us off like womp rats!" line, you see at least one of the silhouettes of the sand people hit dissolving into what seems to be not much more than a puddle. It's subtle, and I too missed it at first, but yeah, it seems like they're nearly instantaneously dissolved. Of course, it's possible that the venom isn't the stomach acid, or even if it is, Mandy didn't end up all the way into the stomach of the thing. Meaning that what he was coated in was could've been a less concentrated solution of the stuff and/or just saliva or some other bodily fluid. On the other hand, it's just as likely that someone gets the bright idea to canonize that Mandy has a beskar-weave scarf based off this. 🙄

This house rule will only ever work at a table full of hardcore equipment list nerds (being a card carrying, bonafide, thoroughly vetted and peer reviewed E.L.N., it's not a pejorative when I say it ). Most players will duly jot down their starting gear accordingly, but three sessions in any semblance of order will be gone. I think it takes a very particular kind of group who are all very passionate about their characters' stuff to pull off rules like this. But I wish you the best of luck!
