sadly in the skirmish battle id drop maul too, or the DD’s in favour of more B1’s
Thanks for all this advice, Haslamm; appreciate it!

Thanks for your thoughts, guys! @Cuz05, Expert Handling sounds good to me. @Cpdio, ha ha, the fully armed and operational Guri wasn't my idea; I was inspired by another post I recently read. @Watcher42, a use for R5-TK!! Thanks for that, neat idea.

Hey, partly out of curiosity, partly because I'd like to try a game of Legion and see if I like it once the pandemic's over, I thought I'd present a list or two for critique if anyone is interested. Sort of torn between Empire and Separatists, but let's go with the latter for this post. I like Droidekas. Here's a skirmish and a standard list:
Skirmish 500/500, 5 activations
General Grievous (170 + 0 = 170)
Maul (160 + 18 = 178)
--Saber Throw (5), Force Reflexes (5), Tenacity (4), Offensive Push (4)
B1 Battle Droids (36 + 0 = 36)
B1 Battle Droids (36 + 0 = 36)
Droidekas (80 + 0 = 80)
Standard 796/800, 9 activations
General Grievous (170 + 16 = 186)
--Tenacity (4), DT-57 Annihilator (12)
Maul (160 + 18 = 178)
--Saber Throw (5), Force Reflexes (5), Tenacity (4), Offensive Push (4)
B1 Battle Droids (36 + 18 = 54)
--E-5C B1 Trooper (18)
B1 Battle Droids (36 + 18 = 54)
--E-5C B1 Trooper (18)
B1 Battle Droids (36 + 18 = 54)
--E-5C B1 Trooper (18)
B2 Super Battle Droids (45 + 30 = 75)
--B2-HA Trooper (30)
DRK-1 Sith Probe Droids (35 + 0 = 35)
Droidekas (80 + 0 = 80)
Droidekas (80 + 0 = 80)Commands:
Trained in Your Jedi Arts (1), Duel of the Fates (1), Supreme Commander (2), The Phantom Menace (2), Crush Them! (3), At Last (3), Standing Orders (4)

Hey. Long time since I've posted in here. Just wondering if Zam crew would make sense on Dengar, for example in a list like this:
JumpMaster 5000 - •Dengar - 83
•Dengar - Vengeful Corellian (53)
Marksmanship (1)
Proton Torpedoes (12)
Contraband Cybernetics (3)
Shield Upgrade (6)
Autoblasters (3)
•Greedo (1)
•Zam Wesell (4)StarViper-class Attack Platform - •Guri - 102
•Guri - Prince Xizor’s Bodyguard (64)
Predator (2)
Advanced Sensors (10)
Adv. Proton Torpedoes (5)
Afterburners (6)
Shield Upgrade (8)
•Virago (7)Total: 185
View in the X-Wing Squad BuilderIt seems you could use You Should Thank Me to amp up Dengar's snap-back with a target lock (maybe enabling ProTorps?) and create a Catch-22 where he gets a second attack whether they target him or not (if they're in the front arc). Not sure if I may have read this from someone else. Other comments on the list are also welcome; it doesn't have to be just two ships, though I personally don't have anything Scum but StarVipers, the original Firespray, and a Khiraxz.

The droid bomber DBS-404 and Arvel Crynyd like to run into things.

Really curious about that new Jumpmaster pilot.

Thanks for all the answers, everyone. Sounds like I should maybe reconsider leaving that Falcon behind.

Looks pretty sweet to me.

Hey,
Stupid question, but how fun is the Falcon (mostly Rebel, secondarily Scum)? There's a first edition Falcon on sale at one of my LGSs - but I very rarely get to play, so I may just skip it. For pure play value, in your estimation, would that be a mistake? (I would proxy for Second Edition, maybe buy the ship conversion eventually if I can.)
Thanks!

Hey, raithos, just wondering where the ship background art comes from. It's really good, but I don't see a credit. Thanks!
-
Hey, Interceptors and StarVipers are now Hyperspace legal (among others)! Sweet!

4 hours ago, RebelProfundity said:... I get that DnD is really popular as well, but the quality of WizKids stuff...
I'm surprised to see D&D there too. However, I recently read a couple of reviews that suggest the Nolzur's line is actually really good (and that they're cheap, though I haven't looked at them in stores).

I have a weird affection for Tetran Cowall because I flew him when I started, when all I had was a core and Imperial Aces! Also, I think his backstory's interesting - he's an actor?!
I also put down Kir Kanos and Carnor Jax, Tycho Celchu, and Wes Janson (really Hobbie too).

So the morality and/or competence of an action generally shouldn't be judged by its results, but on the basis of the best information available at the time.
1. Was the Rebellion justified pre-Yavin? Probably, as resistance to an imposed government with an evident and ongoing criminal record (I say probably because at times there's a conscience obligation to turn the other cheek to oppression).
2. Was the Rebellion justified at and after Yavin? Definitely, as the government had become nigh-genocidal.
3. Was the New Republic justified? Certainly, as a means of ending and replacing the Empire's injustices.
4. Was the New Republic competent in disbanding or dispersing (as Magnus Grendel points out) its fleet? If the former, no, if the latter, maybe.
5. Does potential New Republic incompetence have a moral effect on the past? No, that doesn't make sense.
I don't know, man. The modern day is very cynical. I think Star Wars is a bit of a refuge from that. For once, the good guys actually are just the good guys. I'd embrace that. There are other series out there for moral ambiguity.

Unfortunately, it seems unlikely FFG would re-issue the dial, or delete "small ship" from R4 Astromech as I've seen suggested. Someone on Reddit (I think) suggested creating a new Scum astromech with charges that would help the dial.

10 hours ago, Okapi said:I don't really miss any of the dominant 1.0 meta pilots. I would however like to see a couple of thematic pilots make a return, like the Royal Guards, Kir Kanos and Carnor Jax. 1 force token for all three (they are force sensitive soldiers, not proper Sith), I4 for the Guards and Kir, I5 for Carnor. Kir's ability could be something like "when attacking at R2-3 and are evading, you may spend 1 force to change one [blank] result to a [hit] result", and Carnor's maybe "at the start of the engagement phase, you may spend 1 force to perform a jam action."
Also, get Valen Rudor back in a v1 (same ability please), along with Fifth Brother (who I guess also could use his gunner ability).
I really like your suggestions.

Really want Dengar back -- not as a meta monster, but worthwhile.

I'm no painter, but these look impeccable. Bravo.
If you ever feel like doing another, there's always Red 1 from Return of the Jedi.

-
How has Dengar been in your games so far? If not yet decent, what does he need (R4? Crew slot?)?
That's a cool alt-frame. Did you make it?
