Isn't hard. The Archon has a cardlist, compare it to the online one to verify its identity. Then just compare the deck.
It isn't any different from deck checking any other game.

That is exactly what they are
Valid decks that are curated to be new player friendly. None of the fancy complex cards. A good way to try out, and where they can use as examples.

    Will. Never. Ever. EVER. Happen.
Cutting into expansion pack sales is exactly what this would do even if there were “quite a market” for groups like yours but more likely what this is going to do is just be a shelfwarmer because almost everyone already owns its contents via the regular packs.
There is no reason to assume the overlap in the Venn diagram between “people who want player cards” and “people who don’t want scenario cards to make those player cards usable is more than minuscule. And even if there were, it’s not good business to create a product whose sole purpose is to facilitate people not to buy your highest margin products.

I think the idea of a core is just not working anymore.
Have a base set that works as a 2-player intro. Do it similar to Runewars Miniatures, or X-Wing. Focus on 2 factions to play as. Add some splash cards from other factions. Make a new one each year and make it the focus of rotation, with rotation every 2 or 3 years when this new box is released.
Have balanced Intro decks for each faction, the perfect point to start in a faction. Have Clan packs to expand it further.
Remove cycles. A cycle is everything released throughout the year between the base sets. Have boxes that introduce the theme for the year, etc. Then release occasional packs over the year that expand it.

They have said that some investigators in a cycle are thematic, and others aren't.
We already have a few that are thematic, I don't think this is necessarily a dreamlands cycle, other than a single scenario maybe.

Arkham LCG works fine in single. It just means you have to adapt in different ways.

If checklist isn't available, you can't see what the deck is before unwrapping it. That makes it harder to trade away unopened decks you don't want.

What are you even trying to say?
Are you asking if a deck with library access is restricted to one? I have not heard that. Is a deck with 2 illegal? No.
He knew your deck? Did you know his? If you didn't that is kind of scummy.

Honestly if I found 2 decks that were very similar I would treasure them.
When everything is different, similarity is a novelty.
Besides, even if 20 of the cards are the same, you still have 16 different ones. and those 16 can alter how you play and what you can do. Especially since they will likely be the rares which are more swingy.

Radix2309 got a reaction from Dovla in State of LCGs
The exception I would say is the Co-op LCGs, which seem very well suited to the format. LotR has been going for like 7 years now and shows no signs of stopping. Arkham Horror can easily go for 10 years before they run out of previous investigators.
L5R already shows a lot of pains of the LCG, but they seem to be innovating with the clan packs and 6 in 6, plus rumors of something new on the horizon.
We will see how Keyforge takes off, that could influence further LCGs.
I think we still have room for an Android LCG of some kind.

I mean you have to replicate their printing process and card stock, Not to mention alter the Archon.

Do they need to survive? I think the idea of investigators slowly being replaced makes it more interesting.
Include ways for the new investigators to catch up a bit, And keep moving on. Rises and dips in difficulty.

    God seriously? Here as well?

I think this discussion was covered very well in the Keyforge thread.
This isn't a lootbox, nor is it inherently gambling. There is no wager, nor is there stakes.
If you want to continue this discussion, do it there. Nothing is gained by repeating this thread over here.

I don't know why people expected Mantis. It is too early foe them to get great clan status. They are still a few years away. And there won't be a shadowlands faction.

I'd prefer the cycles in single packs over 6 packs in 6 weeks (less packaging to dispose of). But I'd rather have a pack each month, so the meta shifts a little each time, rather than in fits and starts.

Not to come off sounding rude in this response, but how is it that just because a game is no longer being made does that take away your ability to enjoy the game that you've already purchased? Just because a new version of the game is being made doesn't negate what you already own. Also comparing this to classic D&D modules is a bit unfair as you're talking about print material which is easily reproduced. A board game is not typical print on demand.
