". . . with copious experience, I still highly recommend NOT altering this particular rule . . ."
If it costs 100 exp for a PC to pick up that NINTH talent tree, then it ought to cost 100 exp!  At 2,000 Exp that cost of 100 exp is only 5% of the characters total experience cost.
I'm also an advocate for dishing out tons of exp because part of the joy that the players have in playing FFG Star Wars is saving up and spending those exp on kewl new talents and then using those kewl new talents during the next session.  (I think they most enjoy ignoring all of those negative black dice and tossing them out of their dice pools).
But back to my point.  So what if my player want's to burn 100 exp on that new awesome broken Jedi talent tree?  On average they have to play through four weeks of RP before they can buy that talent.  That's not that long really.

We occasionally get the argument of "Oh no, talent trees TOO expensive" mainly from GM's who are awarding WAY less than 25 exp per session.  And because theres so little advancement currency floating about the PC's constantly whine about not being able to tap into those kewl L33T talents which puts on that pressure of reducing talent tree costs.
However, this particular purchase rule for talents isn't broken.  (And as a GM who has up to 12 major rule re-rights for this game, its unusual for me to support RAW).  Rather than fiddle with this rule I'd recommend that you try issuing more exp to the players and let them have fun in your own particular sandbox.  Try that first.

Happy holidays to everyone currently celebrating them or about to celebrate them!

A couple of small articles up on It's A Trap: Gold Leader and I each talk about why we're excited for all of the new content as well as discuss why the vitriolic responses we've read have bothered us, and Lewis delves into one of his first Republic lists (because he's been waiting FOREVER TO FLY REPUBLIC!)

More coming in the next week!

I'm assuming since her motivation is to honor her dead father as a fighter pilot that she will pour her heart and soul into it.  I'm not super concerned with time period, I just want a good tight script, and some innovative action.

I agree with HappyDaze. We see in individual stat blocks where this rule applies. I presume that in blocks it does not apply, we do not see that description.

Currently the Muni* and the Assault SSD (niche) are the very best platforms for the LTT. Although my Reactive Gunnery Command Arqs are pretty great too. And AF2s.
I wonder what future ships will have this stapled.
    * A case can be made for Kraken munis with Quads to fit a crit-triggered ion upgrade. But otherwise, why would you run a muni wo LTT?

It definitely does. The less card they change, the more balanced the whole thing will be. We have half a year to test out all the secondary effects of the upgrade card nerfs and commander buffs.
6 month from now, we might have an overhaul of the underperforming cards too mixing things up again.
The meta shifted through longer periods of time without any new releases lately. I don't understand why can't people accept smaller changes in shorter times. If 2 years was enough to test out things and still find new broken builds (ahhem 2-ship) maybe you can too have fun for half a year with only "half-effort" changes.
Armada is pretty balanced because of his slow life cycle. Even with all these outlier cards, it wasn't much of an issue. Now, it will be even more variety among fleets. Let's see first how it turns out, before you start demanding more and more.

It would stand to reason that FFG wouldn’t have announced any of the next wave ships yet since they want everyone’s eyes on Clone Wars Wave 1. While I know FFG has a horrible track record for being on schedule, I still think we could get announcements officially in January and then potentially product by March at the latest.

The Venator, Providence, Recusant, and Republic Pelta were announced by FFG back in August and distributor leaks reveal they’re expected in January. They should be the last ship expansions released by FFG.
After that, yes, it might be a while before AMG releases new Armada content.
I’m optimistic AMG will have new Armada expansions to reveal at GenCon 2021.

DTT is 1 informed reroll, which can't get worse. (For 5 points)
LTT is 2 rerolls (if you double arc, or more with red flak) which might fix your blank, but won't help (unless you are desperate) fishing acc/crit/double. + A neat little squadron addition which is circumstancial. (For 7 points.)

The RAW cost of additional spec trees never seemed out of whack to me. Not every character is expected to be good at everything, and if they are a Han-of-all-trades it should come at a high cost.

If they start arguing that its their opppnents fault for not being fluent in delta baseplates, then yes I would.
In most circumstances where the player is suitably apologetic and has tried to be reasonable, no.

Actually, it says that placing a regular squadron on a single stand doesn’t make it count as an irregular squadron. In other words, removing 2 minis doesn’t make an A-wing irregular.

At present, the only time whether a squad is regular or irregular matters is for a few RiTR objectives. Irregular squadrons don’t matter for casual or tournament play.
Let me ask this: Would you disqualify a player if they lost a single TIE bomber mini from one of their squads? Or if they only received 5 Y-wings in a squadron pack from FFG can they only field one squadron instead of two? Or if a Tie fighter breaks in the middle of a tournament do they have to drop out? While, as you demonstrated, you could rule that way, that’s not very likely in my experience. As long as the mods don’t interfere with your opponents’ ability to read the board, most modifications are typically allowed. I don’t think a single Delta 7 on a stand (or Y wing, or any other squadron mini) would cause confusion for the vast majority of people.

Should you have all twelve minis? Probably. Will anyone you play have a serious objection to it? Unlikely.

Yep very clear (not!)... I mean look at the Aces base plates of other sqns.... ( I mean look at the TIE Bombers ace plates and see how similar they are espically on a table upside down.... and then put the X-Wing, Y wing aces next to each other ones - as said from across a gaming table when those plates are upside down to you with models on and the dial obscuring the trait icons)

So yeah, one or 2 Delta-7s with escorts I'd kinda be ok with, not very happy but I can track 1 or 2.  As soon as you start having 3+ and having V-19s on the table then no, I'd struggle keeping track of what is what.... The models are to say which sqn it is and what standard stats it has (speed, hull) then the plate says if its generic or not and which none generic card to use for the weapon stats & extra rules.

Not everyone plays Armada week in, week out... or just know every unit at a glance
