  1. In the quest Rude Awakening, one token represents an innkeeper, and four tokens represent villagers that have been taken to the inn by the overlord or his minions. The index of useful links thread (https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/180455-index-of-useful-links/ ) suggests a couple of reaper minis that could be used as villagers. I've also found the following, cheaper reaper bones minis: 1) Innkeeper: https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/innkeeper/sku-down/77084 2) Villagers: There are various Townsfolk you could use, for example: https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/Townsfolk/sku-down/77140 https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/Townsfolk/sku-down/77088 https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/Townsfolk/sku-down/77087 https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/Townsfolk/sku-down/77086 https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/Townsfolk/sku-down/77085
  2. One point I noticed when I tried using the track for our second campaign - if you want to add any rumour cards, the tracker forces you to add 3. However if you have just 1 heroes & monster pack, you will only have 1 rumour card. Slick site apart from that!
  3. In the campaign I've played so far, the heroes fear the shadow dragon the most. Its almost a running joke - might we be seeing anything shadowy or dragony tonight? The quests seem to balance monster difficulty via those monster symbols, for example in the first encounter of the finale of Heir of Blood, the overlord has 4 open groups (yay) however shadow dragons aren't allowed. So the monsters aren't as powerful as you might expect. If you have the ability to play a shadow dragon its because the game designers feel that its a reasonable choice. Some of the lieutenants are pretty powerful and they don't turn up in every quest.
  4. > Do we need to implement a house rule limiting the number of cards that carry over? Seems like an oversight in the rules. A rule of this kind exists in the finale - so its been thought about a bit at least.
  5. fwiw in my campaign the heroes only won 1 relic and the overlord has 3 or 4. On the other hand it feels like at least half of the quests don't even have a lieutenant in. Also, the heroes have often had to leave a lot of search tokens behind to have a decent crack at winning. Towards the end of act 1 the heroes got quite powerful and there was at least one mission where they gained every single search token. However in act 2 so far the heroes don't seem to have reached the same power level that they did in act 1. We just did the penultimate quest where they bought a shield and sword upgrade for the knight which may improve their performance in the finale. We shall see!
  6. It would seem odd to be winding down a game which has such a high score over at board game geek - but FFG have their sales figures so maybe the high score at BGG doesn't translate heavily into ongoing sales?
  7. Thanks for resurrecting this thread that I would otherwise not have seen!
  8. yeah i found it confusing that people were talking about a different campaign to the one that came in my box. it wasn't super well communicated I would say. But ppl say the new campaign is better so i'm happy to have that instead of the old one...just wish there was a campaign book for the old one available.
  9. I'm guessing English isn't your first language because your question has already been answered by flightmaster101. You can spend fatigue to get 1 or more movement points, without spending a move action. So its legitimate to for example, go move 2 spaces from fatigue, then attack twice, then move another space from fatigue. From flightmaster101's reply: Rules reference: Descent core rule book page 8, right side. It even says in bold letters: A hero player is not required to perform a move action in order to suffer fatigue to move.
  10. Have FFG dropped any hints about what they might have in store for us this year?
  11. wow well-painted figures look so much better than the base ones!
  12. If I recorded an incorrect qty of gold in a quest and saved the quest, can I go back later and edit the gold the heroes have?
