  1. With the Ghost, I've always tried to maximize its offensive power instead of attempting to save it. But that's personal preference. I do like the synergy and would be curious to see how it plays out. I could see this being frustrating to play against.
  2. I'm thinking of picking up a Shadow Caster. If I do, it'll pretty much be the center of my Scum builds because I only have a few scum expansions. I mostly play Rebels. So far, I have these scum expansions: Most Wanted (HWK + Firespray expansions to go with it), M3-A Intercetpor, and Kihraxz Fighter x 2. I was thinking I could run a tricked out Ketsu with two Y-wing bombers. Or Maybe with Torkil Mux and use Ketsu's ability to throw enemy ships out-of-arc. I don't plan to get many more scum ships because usually when I find time to play, it's with Rebels. It looks like a lot of fun, though.
  3. I agree, looks like Kavil will benefit from it. I'll be interested in using the synced turret with the Ghost and FCS. Outside of that, I do like using the Dorsal Turret with the Ghost. Doesn't pack a huge punch, but matched with the Phantom, it does great for that additional end of combat shot. I used to love ion turrets, but there's such an abundance of large-based ships that it doesn't quite have the same impact these days.
  4. I've been trying to figure this out as well. Haven't played Rey enough yet to get it right. I tried two GSPs with Juke+Snap Shot, but it was too fragile. I'm going to try this next: Rey (58) - Expertise - Finn - Kanan - New Title Corran (42) - Crack shot - R2-D2 - FCS I could drop Crack shot for Trick Shot and hope for an initiative bid, which would be nice for two 8 PS's. Or go VI on Corran to ensure I have at least one top pilot, though I like having the option to choose their maneuver/firing order.
  5. My Norra build above works with Expertise Rey as well. Norra Wexley (41) - Push the Limit - C-3PO - R2-D2 - Alliance Overhaul - Vectored Thrusters Rey (59) - Expertise - Finn - Kanan Jarrus - New Falcon title - Smuggling Compartment - Burnout SLAM You could drop SLAM for an initiative bid if you wanted to. I don't think this list works quite as well as with the Ghost/shuttle, because you lose the double-attack from the Ghost and an extra ship for the end game. But it's two really strong pilots loaded out.
  6. Just curious, which ship do your opponents tend to go after? Rebel Regen in the end game *sucks* but keeping Rey alive too long is a nightmare.
  7. As a frequent Ghost player, Autoblaster and AC is a nasty combo, but I've always like FCS, especially if your gameplan is to keep it stressed. The way it seems you're planning to play will eliminate all your actions on the Ghost. Having FCS at least gives you a target lock action to modify your dice, and 4 red dice means you want to aim for more than 2 hits with your primary. Ezra is nice, but the amount of dice you're rolling on the Ghost, I would expect you to get enough natural crits for you to spend those points elsewhere. You could put Chopper on the Ghost for free and bump Rey up to Expertise with the remaining points. Jan could be an option as well to give Rey an evade. That would free up two points to put Swarm Tactics or Lone Wolf (for those out-of-arc attacks) depending on how you play.
  8. My All-time favorite list to fly: (100) Lothal Rebel (41) - VCX-100 Fire Control System (2), Dorsal Turret (3), Hera Syndulla (1), "Chopper" (0), Ghost (0) Norra Wexley (41) - ARC-170 Push The Limit (3), C-3PO (3), R2-D2 (4), Alliance Overhaul (0), Vectored Thrusters (2) "Zeb" Orrelios (18) - Attack Shuttle Phantom (0)
  9. I hadn't considered this for Cassian. Great tip.
  10. I'm not sure that Rey build, nor do I think a U-Wing is worth sinking that many points into. For starters on Rey, why have Cassian in the U-wing and Kyle when there's nothing giving Rey stress? I would put Kanan on her to avoid stress altogether. With a point left, I would change Marksmanship to Expertise since Kanan will help you relieve stress. For Cassian, I don't think you'll need Baze, and not sure Engine Upgrade is necessary. Personally, Rey and Finn go hand-in-hand, and I would downgrade the U-Wing to make room for Ashoka or maybe an A-Wing.
  11. If you want Norra to replace Dash, I think you would need to go with Expertise Norra to get the most out of her offensively. Sub out PtL & C-3PO for Expertise and Tail Gunner.
  12. No, the Expansion comes with a separate Phantom miniature. The model that's on the Ghost doesn't come off. This one has been modified (quite well I must say). Edit: it looks like they cut off the Phantom on the Ghost and placed a mount for the one included in the expansion.
  13. I played my Ghost list a gainst an Imperial list today. We split two games. He had two SF's and a Lambda for support. The SF's delivered enough firepower to handle the Ghost. It's the Rebel regen flanker you'll have to deal with. I ran Norra with R2-D2 and C-3PO. In the game he won, he parked QuickDraw behind Norra and traded two-for-one shots.
  14. Slap a lightweight frame on it. That'll help. I have a feeling the Aggressor will live up to its name. Fly in, do some good damage, blow up.
  15. Ah. Always forget that. I was trying to think of a reason why you would want to miss Snap Shot on purpose. For rebels, Rex is the only thing I can see.
  16. So, in theory, you could have something like Cassian with Snap Shot, Accuracy Corrector and Gunner. Use AC to "miss on purpose," as you put it, to trigger Gunner while they're in range one?
  17. Stripping tokens and feeding Wedge is a great gameplan. At least with Jan, you'll have the option to add one die to Wedge's roll every round. Just for reference, here was the last Swam Leader Wedge list I used: Wedge - Swarm Leader, R2-D2, IA GSP x2 - Snap Shot, Crack Shot, Chardaan Refit, Title Ahsoka - VI, Sabine's Masterpiece, Captured TIE, Sabine, Ion Bombs I flew Ahsoka straight towards an Intercetpor he had and hit it with the ion bomb. Parked the A-wings in front of it and Snap Shot'ed it twice. Fed the evades to Wedge. Wedge went down too quick for R2 to really work. Ended up losing the A-wings so I was stuck with Ahsoka vs. Inquisitor. 3 vs. 2 dice meant I would eventually lose. And did. It was a fun game though.
  18. The theme you're going for is excellent here, but one thing stands out to me. I really don't like the concept of R3. You're going out of your way to not modify an attack dice to get an evade. And in this case the evade is going to feed a dice to Wedge. Wouldn't it be easier to go ahead and get a hit result with Jess through a focus token/target lock? The only thing I can think of here is you're expecting to go up against high agility ships and three hits don't give you damage necessarily, so you're saving a focus for defense and giving ammo to Wedge. Wedge will roll five dice to their 1-2 so he makes a bigger impact. Wedge will have to use a focus/TL to maximize the added dice, which will make the regen more difficult. I'm not saying by any means that this wouldn't be fun or potentially dangerous but providing feedbacks on the list's limitations. In any case, I'd love to hear how the list does in action!
  19. Say you don't have the shuttle docked and you don't have torpedoes. You can't use your rear firing arc. Does that matter? The card doesn't indicate, but I could see an argument there potentially.
  20. I don't see Ahsoka being effective without the Captured TIE and VI. She was pretty much made for that combo. Even then, it can be spotty. I went up against a list that was Fel & Admiral Chiraneau, so the title did nothing for me, and it went down after two rounds.
  21. "Never tell me the odds." But yeah. I didn't take the most scientific approach to it. I was also rolling a different number of dice for range variation, so I felt it was easier to just roll. It also helped me practice using the combo. C3PO and Finn complicate the game a bit, so the repetition helped me figure it out.
  22. This looks like super fun, and a great build around the swarm leader. I would cut down the point cost on Ezra to upgrade the prototype to a GSP with two elite, but that's personal preference. The only problem is Jess' PS. The other ships will likely be attacked before it gets to shoot, and you may not have all your evade tokens when it gets to Jess' attack.
  23. I did some test flying with the Corran/Tie/U-Wing list I shared above. The ships fly well together. Corran can keep up with Ashoka, and the action economy is great. Jan is there to help Corran when he barrels ahead to take Range 1 shots. He can evade, and Ashoka gives him a free action, which can be a focus-evade. Alternatively, you can use his free action to boost or barrel roll at the start of combat. Rey keeps plenty of focuses on Ashoka, and Jyn dishes her more so she's never spending more than she has saved up. Corran is the clear threat on the board, but the U-Wing has three attack dice as well, so it can't be ignored. I'll have to fit this list into the rotation.
  24. I've been thinking about a Corran build to go alongside my Expertise Rey. Rey - Expertise, Finn, Kanan, new Title Corran - Crack Shot/VI (though having two 8's is nice), R2-D2, FCS Alternatively, I was thinking something like this: Corran - VI, R2-D2, FCS, Engine Upgrade Ahsoka - VI, Sabine's Masterpiece, Captured TIE, Rey Heff Tobber - FCS, Seismic Torpedo (or flechettes), Jyn, Jan, Pivot Wing
