  1. I went 2-2 with this list at a tournament last weekend. Only I had FCS on Omega and no Hate on Kylo. I don’t think Hate is essential. I lost one game due to time/mov. Other loss was vs YYXXX and he just flew it perfectly. He was a great formation flyer and I didn’t approach him correctly at the start. So it’s a viable list. I’m going to experiment with replacing Omega with Muse + squad leader to see if that coordinate makes better use than another heavy hitter.
  2. I almost want to say Empire for both. TIe swarms are super effective, but if you’re not swarming Empire has a serious lack of crew options in Hyperspace.
  3. Is you really want Sabine, I’d say you have to fit the escape craft on the list. One of the biggest issues with the caster is getting mods and keeping an arc on enemy ships. With the escape craft, you can coordinate over to Sabine so she can focus/rotate. Honestly, there's nothing that intrigues me about Sabine (who is female by the way) when it comes to competitive play. 4-LOM is incredibly more effective at nearly 10 points cheaper even with Advanced sensors and the title (which honestly you can take or leave).   5. Ehh. Maybe could be tanky but there’s still a good chance that reroll is another blank. When QD loses her shields, having FCS for one reroll and the chance to turn a focus to a hit gives you great odds at hitting hard. Then you just evade and that guarantees you an evade result.
  6. I’m very much pro-Advanced Optics on kylo. You can sub that for Hate if you want to keep your bid. I get it - Hate helps you gain back Force to use ISYTDS, but optics makes almost every shot Kylo makes land 3 or 4 (for R1) hits. You could also lose PA and the shield upgrade on QD to put squad leader on Midnight. That will allow Kylo to focus br/boost then coordinate the other repositioning if needed. While I do love that shield upgrade on QD, I generally take two hits on her anyways, so her ability typically will only trigger twice in a game regardless.

    Same. My resistance model is at my desk at work because I magnetized it. So if I get a Resistance convert kit, I'm gonna hope that nobody has an issue with me running a "Rebel" one. Honestly, the models have 0 effects on the game. You can play the entire game with just the bases. The only exception is maybe the U-Wing and X-wing, but you still have the config cards to designate if wings are open or closed. In fact, it would be easier to play the game without actual ship models. It just wouldn't look as cool.
  8. I played two games vs. Wedge this weekend. First game, I took out Wedge first. That left me with QD and Kylo to run around as needed (opponent didn't do a good job of protecting Wedge). Second game against him came down to Wedge vs. Kylo. Kylo's dial won it for me. I did a hard one while stressed. He tried to K-turn around me, thinking I would bank or do the 5 straight to get away. So yeah, even at i5 his tricks and wingmates still make him very much viable.
  9. I would absolutely pay another 10 points to have him at 6. But a healthy bid goes a long way.
  10. I took Kylo to a tournament yesterday with QD and an Omega expert. Went 2-2. Not bad considering it was my first time fielding Kylo. He’s wonderful. I just had Optics on him and that’s enough to make him dangerous.
  11. If you really want to get crazy with manauvering. Sloop one turn, then next turn use Leia/Kanan combo to sloop/k-turn and follow it up with an action.   12. I mean, only when stressed. And that’s part of why you have Leia on the Arc right? Use Leia on your red maneuvers and keep your full dial open.
  13. In the end game, Omega with Fanatical and FCS is gonna be tough. Essentially evade with it and QD after shields are gone. I figure Fanatical and the shield upgrade are overall a better value than the squad leader, if I get lucky with QD. I think QD is the top priority here so I just have to position the others to take advantage of the enemy’s approach to QD. And if they try to go for Kylo first, I should be able to dance around the board with that dial and make it tough on them. The good thing about this list is all three ships are pretty self-sufficient.
  14. After a bit of practice, I've discovered that the UYYY-Wing list isn't really working for me. I've had too hard of a time pushing enough damage through, and each game I've played has come down to MOV. So I've decided to flip script a little bit after doing the Tavson/QD/Recoil list a few times. Here's what I've landed on: Squad Leader gives me access to coordinate, which is a big factor in the Upsilon but I have the benefit of a more maneuverable ship with a multi-arc. QD is the same. The points from downgrading the SF has let me upgrade Recoil to Kylo. And I still have a few points to spare for an ok bid. I don’t like adding a stress mechanism to an SF, so I’m gonna downgrade to Fanatical and put a shield upgrade on QD and stay at 195.
  15. If you get in the rocks, then you can use the focus>BR (that may or may not fail) to get your stress.

    I can't see anyone having an issue with you using the newer model as long as you're not mixing factions with the pilots and upgrades.
  17. I prefer DG over Elusive because you’re guaranteed at least one evade. Elusive is a potential for you to just roll another blank. And it just helps with triggering their abilities.
  18. I feel like the oddball here but I much prefer debris gambit on the B-Wings. Especially the named pilots. Guaranteed stress, unless you’re near a rock in which case you focus and attempt a barrel roll. If you can’t complete a br you still gain the stress.
  19. I got some practice with this list and found PerCo/Optics to be great... when Tavson actually lined up a shot. I think a better use of points throughout the game will be a shield upgrade on QD and Phasma on Tavson instead of those two upgrades. Or I could leave off the shield upgrade for a decent bid.
  20. Just to follow up on this, I've decided t drop Tactical Officer and add Selfless on Saw.
  21. I think I'm going to practice with the YYYU list. It's close to what I know and has health that will let me be a bit more aggressive.
  22. This could go on all day long, but point the was made. Even if this was treated as choose between 1-5, starting at 5 with a hefty bid is going to allow this card to be abused against the majority of lists.
  23. It looks like Leia no longer recharges, according to the app. The plus symbol is no longer there, even though the physical card has one. Is this why it got dropped in points?
  24. I toggled back and forth with that for a while. I guess the bid is kind of irrelevant without an I6. There isn't that many other 5's out there being flown, especially in hyperspace. Luke or Old Teroch are the only ones that come to mind. I think I'll go with Selfless. Also just realized that the conversion kit only has two Y-Wing dials even though I own 3. So I'll have to borrow/buy the new model prior to the tournaments. edit - My barnes & noble account just came in handy. Have one on the way while everywhere else online was sold out. Edit #2 - if you have the scum kit and the plastic rebel dials, this specific combo of pilots is covered. GSP’s have different backs since Norra was included as part of Wave 1. As for Tavson, my vision is spending his first action on a coordinate/reinforce, then use his ability to gain the focus for the return fire. I want him to be a little versatile based on individual matchups. Either be a support ship or go into battle alone depending on what I'm up against. But usually a single ship trying to accomplish two different things doesn't go well.
