  1. Interesting idea for the 2nd list. Vulture-class Droid Fighter - Trade Federation Drone - 24 Trade Federation Drone - (20) Energy-Shell Charges (4) Vulture-class Droid Fighter - Trade Federation Drone - 20 Trade Federation Drone - (20) Belbullab-22 Starfighter - •General Grievous - 53 •General Grievous - Ambitious Cyborg (47) Impervium Plating (6) Belbullab-22 Starfighter - •Captain Sear - 55 •Captain Sear - Kage Infiltrator (39) Impervium Plating (6) •Kraken (10) Vulture-class Droid Fighter - Trade Federation Drone - 24 Trade Federation Drone - (20) Energy-Shell Charges (4) Vulture-class Droid Fighter - Trade Federation Drone - 24 Trade Federation Drone - (20) Energy-Shell Charges (4) Total: 200/200 But i'm stil thinking whether it's better than my previous Maul list which has same amount of attacks and more health. Sear Grievous mini swarm, on the other hand, has more defence and mods, more ships, potentially more damage after ESC's are shot and a decent flanker. Still deciding which CIS list to fly today.
  2. I'm trying to build a CIS list for a small hyperspace tournamentf with limited resources. My droid fighter packs got lost in transit so i have 1 scimitar, 2 Bellbulabs and 4 droids. I would like trying Maul with 5 droids, but since i don't have the 5th droid yet here are 2 lists I came up with: Sith Infiltrator - •Darth Maul - 75 •Darth Maul - Sith Assassin (65) •General Grievous (3) •Scimitar (4) Hate (3) Belbullab-22 Starfighter - •Wat Tambor - 53 •Wat Tambor - Techno Union Foreman (43) •Soulless One (10) Vulture-class Droid Fighter - Trade Federation Drone - 24 Trade Federation Drone - (20) Energy-Shell Charges (4) Vulture-class Droid Fighter - Trade Federation Drone - 24 Trade Federation Drone - (20) Energy-Shell Charges (4) Vulture-class Droid Fighter - Trade Federation Drone - 24 Trade Federation Drone - (20) Energy-Shell Charges (4) Total: 200/200 Droids rush forward to meet the enemy, Wat swoops in from the back maintaining speed to get foes when droids are in r1 of an enemy. He could also flank, depending on the situation. Maul goes further away from droids in a different lane so enemies would have to choose whether to meet droids heads on or turn to Maul. With hate he can often capitalize on double taps and scimitar lets him escape or get in better position while grievous is good when you loose the shields. Wat is quite ok, but with only 3 droids for enabling his ability i'm not convinced since they might loose those calculates before he gets to fire. Had a couple of games with this list and I feel like 3 droids are too little both for enabling Wat and sharing those calculates. Often you only get to shoot 1 energy shell charge per round. Vulture-class Droid Fighter - Trade Federation Drone - 24 Trade Federation Drone - (20) Energy-Shell Charges (4) Vulture-class Droid Fighter - Trade Federation Drone - 24 Trade Federation Drone - (20) Energy-Shell Charges (4) Belbullab-22 Starfighter - •Captain Sear - 44 •Captain Sear - Kage Infiltrator (39) •K2-B4 (5) Belbullab-22 Starfighter - •General Grievous - 59 •General Grievous - Ambitious Cyborg (47) Predator (2) •Soulless One (10) Vulture-class Droid Fighter - Trade Federation Drone - 24 Trade Federation Drone - (20) Energy-Shell Charges (4) Vulture-class Droid Fighter - Trade Federation Drone - 24 Trade Federation Drone - (20) Energy-Shell Charges (4) Total: 199/200 4 droids sounds like they should be better at coordinating each other with calculate tokens. Sear with K2-B4 flies behind supporting droids defense and adding crackshots for those droids that can't fire energy shells. Grievous, in the mean time, goes for a flank. Predator should help to keep up with the damage ouput in case someone turns to him. Still not sure if i'm better at equipping Sear with some defensive upgrades. I could switch the tittle or instead of title, get impervium plating on both Bells and loose predator on the Cyborg.
  3. Didn't had the time to think about changes yet. Inq could do better in another matchup. Those 3 agi + focus was just too much to chew through. I only had one game with it. About Alpha i can mention that with Xg1 title I did way better than i usually do with Os title and torps/rockets. I notoriously suck with Alphas in general though i do love the ship I'll reply after couple more games and post any sugestions i can think of. Thanks for the fun list
  4. Tried this list today againts 4 naked Ini 1 TIE Interceptors + Soontir Fel. Barely won. Alpha was slamming all the time, did 3 damage total and 1 ion. He was always running and had to slam even with console fire. Grand inquisitor still hasn't proved to be worth the investment but it's fun to fly. Missiles were too weak against 3 agi ships + focus. Defender is good. The list overal seems to be lacking damage input. But i will try more games with it. It's quite fun. Maybe with some tweaks though.
  5. Yup, Soontir with Whisper would get to to 108 (110 with predator) and you get a good bang for the buck. Soontir is hard to fly but if you get in to range 1 or 2 it's quite easy to maintain bullsey and he then gets a free focus and has a reroll. And thats after you already evaded and barelled/boosted. Whisper is unpredictable and very good as a late game piece too.
  6. So, i got Punisher and Phantom very late in v1. Never flew Punisher due to its cost and tried Whisper only a handful of times due to it being too squishy for TLT's, bombs and other cancers. And now both ships looks really great. I'm thinking of 2 bombers to aid them. Whispers enforcers (44) "Redline" (5) Bomblet Generator (9) Proton Torpedoes (8) Advanced Sensors Points 66 (52) "Whisper" (4) Juke Points 56 (36) Captain Jonus (6) Barrage Rockets Points 42 (28) Scimitar Squadron Pilot (6) Barrage Rockets Points 34 Total points: 198 I tried this list with Trajectory Simulator on Redline, Vader on Whisper and instead of Jonus Gideon Hask or Scourge Skutu. I went 4/2 with this list and understood it needs provements. Tie fighters seemed horrible in this list so i thought about another bomber for more efficiency. Vader makes Whisper very expensive and it's being hunted so i rarely get to use ability and if you fly correct you often have focus/evade so you don't need force for dice mods anyway. So taking it away allows me to transform Redline from bomb thrower to a more nimble torp platform with AdSense and leaves points for upgrading 1 bomber to Jonus. I could leave myself a rather big bid by staying with Scimitar in 2nd bomber but only Whisper would really benefit from it. Redline with AdSense doesn't care that much about when he moves. Those points could also be spent on adding Krenic or Kallus on Whisper. Or i could add some other ship. There are some options for 42 points but i think that improving Bombers and Punisher with Jonus is a better investment. He leaves Redline alive longer and Whisper is most likely free to flank without trouble too. Also I'm asuming Bomblets can be reloaded without spending shields but if not i'd change them to Protons. So, what do you think?
  7. 1) Return of old ships. Making stuff viable again is super great 2) App. It might allow more thematic stuff, easier fixes, 3) Medium bases. The need of them was obvious for quite a while. Both in-game mechanics and lore was pointing that way. 4) Fixed turrets. Most of ships worked like they had guns pointed in every direction at the same time. The turrets rotate, it makes sense that this mechanic finally appears in-game. 5) Conversion kit having all needed cards. No need of spending 60-100 eur on Epic ship for the cards (TIE adv. title, palp, c-3po) or 10-30 eur for cards themselves. No more spending 15 eur for authothrusters expansion or 30 for harpoon missiles expansion. List goes on. Regarding the price of conversion kits it might look like too much if you own everything, and want to buy all conversions x2 but if you're not judgmental and look straight at the facts - price for value is very good based on the prices of separate things i wrote earlier. Tell me of any other good/popular wargame where it is standard to own everything. X-wing was very cheap in terms of owning everything, compared to other wargames. It was relatively cheap in terms of wargames in general and it still will be for most of the players. It looks like it will be much more costly than before to own everything, no denial here. Not an issue for me though.
  8. Kestal with Synced Turret is very bad unless you have options of getting free focus or TL's. That's simply because pilot ability urges to have a focus and Synced Turret needs TL. And on top of this, the turret itself is very bad if not the worst. There are better options for the price or even cheaper
  9. I'd say Imp Vets and/or TIE SF. Ryad's defender is easy and fun to fly. TIE SF is tough but you would need upgrades you currently don't have. Both of these ships still finds a place in most of my lists.
  10. You are not taking any bomb upgrades so how are you planning to use the Minefield Mapper?
