I think it's kind of cascading effect of trying to avoid problems with say like, X-wing 1E, where your opponent can drop some crazy tricks on you and basically you just don't play - it's like why Ion is always super expensive and exhaust you can't reliably completely shut down a vehicle - recent errata to "weapon disrupted" also kind of follows. The developers want you to put anything on the table to try it without worrying about like, hard counters or other NPE type stuff.
But I also think the environment they test and build stuff in is different than general play - they obviously have very serious access to terrain modelers and probably play with certain unit builds just to play them - this leads into my current running theory that the original Vehicles are meant to stop Vehicles - hence the heavy emphasis on Impact vs most vehicles being white defense with armor, sometimes no defensive surge. Our current issue arises in that minimum anti-armor  on Infantry is really points efficient to include so vehicles always feel threatened but not in the sense that you can put like an AT-ST on the board, and you can get like double ions and literally can't activate it a round. Because if infantry couldn't scratch vehicles that'd also feel bad. Ideally, they need like a virtual testing environment, the equivalent to like a beta or test server for video games to let loads of people stress test some of this stuff in the open environment, I'm just pretty sure their business model and licensors won't necessarily like that.
The T-47's problem is it's not flexible enough or specialized enough. The harpoon is obviously intended to have a low damage cap but be "accurate" only the other guy can still roll blocks and no cable. The ground buzzer seems like an anti-infantry weapon, able to roll a whole bunch of decent dice at once only without sharpshooter, pierce or anything it's only good for shooting infantry in the open, and Imperials have 50/50 saves and no Rebel squad would cross open ground if you paid them. The primary is some sick nasty dice, but less range than other big box guns and again, all impact focused. The X-34 goes the other way - on it's own it's cheaper than Speeder Bikes, and deserves it naked - but if depending on what you want to spend it looks like you can give them quite a few options to do different things against different units. For pretty cheap you can basically make it a ghetto blaster and drive by infantry to dump white dice in them and fly away, or you can glue heavy weapons to it and make it a technical to annoy Armor.
That said, I am still against direct points errata unless they want to commit to adjusting it every 6-12 months when they release new stuff which interacts with it, because the value of your points isn't static, different units will feel more or less worth their point costs at different periods in the game's development as different things are both available and popular. There could be a pilot upgrade to give some vehicles Sharpshooter pretty cheap (considering how cheap keywords usually are) or some other weird abilities, or there could be a commander with a vehicle synergy focus, or whatever. And FFG knows that pipeline much farther in the future than they dein to reveal to us.

It just got two fixes via changes to the core rules, let's wait and see. I'll paint up my second one and try some things.
Though to be honest I find big fragile vehicles models to be "unplayable" for out of game reasons in all systems. But it's Star Wars so I'm stuck.

Put sniper teams to the far left and right, one is pretty guaranteed to be in the side, then you get Impact 1 and pierce 1. Seems pretty bad for tank and contents.

I can't see a reason to ever transport anything in the tank or landspeeder
neither have good enough defense to justify the loss of activations, actions or wounds by the unit being transported.  If you tell me that I can get double wounds on a tank and a commander or unit by shooting at the tank, then you just made target priority that much easier for me. the HUGE side of the imperial tank means that if I don't have a shot, I'm at least guaranteed 2 wounds.

While that may be the case for some of the people, I am not really taking into consideration what the ship is. In my thought process, it could be Poe’s t70 next, or a specific delta 7 paint scheme, or whatever. Still wouldn’t bother me.
Admittedly, if it was something I really liked, and I couldn’t go, I may try and ask a friend who’s going about snagging an extra one. But I’m not going to be complaining loudly on the forums that I can’t get one, or it’s not fair that it’s only provided at a specific event.
In fact, I kinda hope this expands over to Legion - some of the early sculpts are rough and I would love to see brand new alternate sculpts with the same unit card/info so they can take advantage of how much better their sculpting team is today on old iconic characters.

And this right here is what the upset saltiness on the forum over this amounts to.
It’s jealousy, envy, or whatever else but it amounts to comparing your game/opportunity to another. And doing that comparison anywhere, from plastic spaceships to careers to anything, will make you miserable.
I don’t compare to anyone other than myself. I do the best I can. In the case of xwing, I just play to have fun. What other people do or how often they get to play? Not my concern.
Sometimes I get too salty myself (I did with the new releases for example), and I have to step back and remember this.

Man these guys are super versatile there isn't a range they can't hit at.  While they seem to hit the hardest at close range they can hit range 4 and throw at least two dice per model at mid range (range 2 to 3)

Boxes like the specialists with new minis? Possibly - I could see having a “heavy weapons” pack where the mini replaces the heavy slot of a trooper unit instead of the personnel slot like the existing specialists.

See, I don’t think we can conclusively say that it is bad in principle. The challenge is when they start adding actual content to the game without adding it for all. Ie, a pilot or upgrade card.
Alternative paint like this is fundamentally no different than alt arts they’ve done before.
Last year, I bought an exclusive to the system open mat. Is that somehow bad? This to me is identical.

Nobody would be mad if they had commissioned a painter to be at adepticon who would repaint your off the shelf vulture for $20.
I can't even imagine being this petty. An opportunity exists for somebody else to get something nice, and wishing that instead, they couldn't, just because you can't have it too. Like children.

Yes, some Quick Builds were errata’d. Just like point cost updates, I view this as a good thing. A couple builds that were priced poorly were adjusted. The changes have improved the format. But more changes are still needed and will hopefully happen (four Upsilons in an 8 Threat list is silly).
Aside: I keep my Quick Build Squad Builder updated to FFG’s latest information on the Quick Build format. No need to comb through the annoying PDF’s!

I'd rather grenade and equipment upgrades continued to come in boxes with new miniatures. I also don't really want new versions of currently existing miniatures or weapons options (new ones, yes, new versions of the standard? no) since I'd rather see new things than continued development of already existing miniatures.

I'd love to see new heavy weapons packs for Corps units.  It'd be a great way to introduce different weapons, spice up existing units with new poses, and release new cards.
