    I honestly think you're better off with Kylo and less on Quickdraw. Kylo's ability is fine but what really helps him survive is the force. It means you can barrel roll and boost and still mod your defence (or attack if you're not going to get shot).
    This list won a big event recently and having tried it out I can see why. Fanatical is incredible on Quickdraw BTW. It means when her shields are gone she's still a threat, and often you'll get your last shield stripped and you can now return fire with that mod (and maybe a target lock). It's great.

    Static mines:  hit them and take (more) damage than just an asteroid.  This may (single mine) or may not (mine field) remove the obstacle from play.
    Space Slug:  An asteroid with an innate "attack" out to range 1
    Or, yeah, just go whole hog.

    So, after a fair bit of experimentation including a hyperspace practice event, I've discovered that you do really just need a ton of droids and the difference between I1 and I3 is relevant given the current meta.  That being said, this is what I'm trying out next:

    Is Maul in Sith Infiltrator OP? seems so from what limited games ive seen online.
    65pts.
    3 force. 4 shields. 6 hull. 1 defense.
    crazy good dial. 2 sloop. lots of blue.
    add Hate force upgrade and he costs the same as Fenn Rau!
    even without additional upgrades crew/crew/torp/tactical relay/device/title Maul is a Beast.
    Best large ship in the game? I think so.

    My initial impression of Discord Missiles is you need more than one, probably the maximum three. That turns them into a meaningful lane/area denial threat rather than a wannabe Energy Shell, which is what you basically get by taking just one.
    It'd be different if the B-22 or Infiltrator had missile slots, but you can't rely on getting a Discord Vulture to mid/end game.
    At that point, you've invested a full 6 points over spamming ESCs instead, but it might be worthwhile. I've not gotten to try it extensively, obviously.
    In my games of CIS so far (won some lost some) I've mostly just turbo-sucked at getting all my ships to engage at the same time because they all move kinda weird. (B-22 can't 3-turn, Vultures can't bank, large base decloaks + bumping).

    Yup, none of the text works unless it's triggered by an enemy ship moving through or overlapping (and presumably, but not clearly, by the droid being shot under an enemy ship).

    Base-size would be one easy way to do it, but misses a few things.  While Y-Wings are the most common front arc + turret ship, the benefits to a Scurrg, Starfortress, or Ghost are the same.  While VTG is weak on large-base Decimators or YTs, it's likewise weak on medium-base K-Wings.
    To me, the best thing would be two different gunners.
    VTG works from any primary, and any style of turret.  It should probably be back at 8 points.  Cheaper turret upgrades and Y-Wings are enough to make them still good, despite bringing the gunner back to 8.
    Perhaps a new gunner, Expert Turret Gunner, only triggers from double-end turret attacks, and only grants a bonus attack to the other side of the double-end turret.  Off the top of my head, 4 points seems right, since it'd be the same as Veteran Tail Gunner: only shooting in two opposite directions.

    Well one is a brawler and the other is an ordinance delivery platform. they aren't perfect comparisons considering that the punisher has tons of ordinance options and a sensor slot that the ARC just wont ever get.

    I'd like to point out that the Republic sort of has 3.5 ships at the moment factoring in Delta 7b.  Also, vultures cost too much.

    Just going to say this for all the people in the back.  Base stats and not upgrade-adjusted stats are used, per the rules reference (RR, FAQ/List Building, p. 23)
    Q: If a ship equips an upgrade that alters one of its values (such as agility), how does this affect variable cost upgrades?
    A: Other upgrades are ignored when calculating variable costs, and the base values of the ship are used.
