  1. I love this episode's emphasis on board gaming as a family activity! I'll be bringing both of my sons (8 and 6 years old) to a launch party next weekend. I've been sharing spoilers with them for a while now, and though they may not understand everything, its a unique way for us to bond and have fun together!
  2. USA - MO - Independence - Game Cafe - Nov 20th 3:00-6:00 - https://www.facebook.com/events/1815556398730070/
  3. Its good to hear they'll have enough product at launch. Do we have a date for the full launch yet? I do still want to have a launch party at our store...just going to be good and sure we have product before I announce it.
  4. Which KC store? I was going to try to go to the one at TT, but I know another store was planning on running one too. Limited Figures isn't getting the launch kit anymore. I hope Table Top gets one, but I'm waiting to hear for sure. I just called Table Top, and they confirmed that they are getting a kit. At least one shop in KC will have it!
  5. You can't blame FFG at this point as you don't know why this is happening. For sure they probably underestimated the demand for these kits. However, if the distributor pulled the products from the retailers and juggled around who got it, then your beef is with them. It sucks, but on the bright side, it looks like this game is really going to take off. The shop owner said FFG is generally very good to work with, so it may be the distributor, but most likely a lack of supply. I just regret promoting the launch party so aggressively with my students. Several seniors asked off of work for the launch party. They’ll be frustrated when they hear its canceled, and will be less likely to take off for future events. It may not be entirely FFG’s fault, and maybe not at all, but it is a shame to start out this way. And I do hope the game takes off like crazy. I’ve been very impressed with the game mechanics and spoiled cards thus far.

  7. You all may want to have your game shops call their distributor to verify that they are getting a launch kit. My store in Kansas City was signed up right from the start, but found out they are not getting one after all. It looks like FFG didn't anticipate Destiny's popularity or make enough kits, so only the largest stores are getting them.
  8. I just called my store in Kansas City, and they are not getting it either. I am VERY disappointed in FFG. As a high school teacher and sponsor of our Board Game Club, I have been promoting this launch party for the last month. I'm going to have many frustrated/upset high schoolers. Not a good way to treat potentially loyal customers or launch a new game.
  9. Surprising that none of the stores in St. Louis are running a launch party. You can visit us in Kansas City on Nov. 19th if you're willing to make the drive.
  10. COUNTRY STATE/PROVINCE CITY STORE NAME DATE Point of Contact / Website USA KS Overland Park Table Top Fri., Nov. 18 @ 6:30 pm MOKAN Star Wars Destiny Facebook Group - Nathan Miller USA MO Kansas City Limited Figures Sat., Nov. 19 @ 1:00 pm MOKAN Star Wars Destiny Facebook Group - Kevin Kallin EDIT: The launch party for Limited Figures has been CANCELED. Apparently FFG didn't make enough kits. Table Top did confirm that they are getting a kit.
  11. This is an excellent tool! It helps me to visualize what kid of a deck I will build. Hopefully in the future we'll be able to save different decks within the website, and not need to create separate links.
