  1. There is a new game store that opened in the south Atlanta Georgia area. Discover Games 1415 Hwy 85N, Suite 120 Fayetteville GA next to the Sprint store. Right now we have about 6-7 people that meet on Sunday around 3pm to play X-wing. Tournaments will be starting when the Spring kits arrive. Anyone in the area is welcome to come and play. We are trying to grow the local community.
  2. I think the Striker is fun as hell to play. Not every ship needs to be at the tippy top of the meta nor can it. Some ships just need to be neat and different from what is out there. The Striker flys unlike anything else before it. I know I will have a great many fun games with them in the future.
  3. Can anyone explain why they are including two copies of Stealth Device with the U-Wing? I thought maybe one of the new crew would make it useful on a ship with less than 3 agility but as that is not the case I am can't understand why they included it. SD was already available in two other expansions so it's not like they are in short supply either.
  4. For attentive co-pilot I would leave the first line the same then say "If the selected bank maneuver is green treat it as a white maneuver instead."
  5. My area regional was pretty well saturated with Defenders so make sure you have a plan to deal with them. Otherwise have fun! This was my first year going to regionals as well and caught a few bad breaks(opponents defense dice rolled 9 natural evades in a row! I hate Defenders lol) or I would have made the cut. also practice your setup and opening moves. High level games can be decided before you ever roll the dice.
  6. That would mean the ship with R3 would have to attack before swarm leader. You would need high PS ships with R3 and lower with SL. In other words...try again! R3 is really just so terrible it's not even funny.
  7. With 3 OpSpec you would get 3 foci for every missed attack tho. So everyone can use their focus on defense then miss one attack and focus for everyone!
  8. Survivor should probably say "roll 2 additional defense die." Otherwise nice work on everything!
  9. Attani Mindlink. Remove the Scum only. Open up this awesome upgrade to the other factions. PTL would finally have some competition on Imps and maybe some of the synergy rebel pilots become useable. Garvin would be AWESOME with Mindlink!
  10. It sounds like you need someone to call you on your bad behaviors. Any time someone is sucking the fun out of the game by being a sore sport I will tell them. Most of the time people will straighten up after that. I hope people do the same for me because I wouldn't want my actions to turn someone away from a great game.
  11. Wave 11 I have no idea. As for wave 12, it has to be totally kick ass T-85 X-Wings. Please don't screw up ANOTHER X-Wing FFG! I love X's so much and want to use them but I also don't want to start a game fighting an uphill battle.
  12. I can't say enough how incredibly disappointing the crew in the U-Wing expansion are. They are all just different versions of other cards. Cassian is a better Intel agent. Bohdi is crew LRS. Bistan is a less restrictive Mercenary Co-pilot. Jyn is the only original card and she takes an action to use. They apparently used all their good crew ideas when bringing Scum up to the power level of the other factions. They went a little overboard with that by the way.

  14. They do not bump but they should be considered touching for attack purposes. They are touching until one ship moves way.
  15. Personally I hope the Imperials never get full regen. Most imperial small ships have a high enough agility that regen would break them. People complain all day about Corran but he takes up half your list and can die to one shot. A Palp backed defender with regen would be WAY WAY worse. I wish that regen didn't exist at all and I mainly play rebels. If you take regen from Rebels then maybe people would realize how far behind most of their small ships are. In the era of super accurate 3-4 die attacks non regen rebels are dying faster that lab rats at an Ebola research center.
  16. I think Alliance Workhorse needs some work. It's basically a 1point cheaper hull upgrade with a downside. I don't know about you but I have never seen a Y-Wing with a Hull Upgrade. With divert power being a mod as well I can guarantee workhorse would never be used. Also for the cost I think Homing Torpedoes need a little something. Reduce the cost by one or range 1-3 possibly? I like that they don't spend the TL but a 3 die attack doesn't do a lot anymore. You could up the attack by 1 and still be good other than stepping on Proton Torps but no one uses them anyway. I really like the expansion as a whole though. Good work!
  17. I don't get Vengeance's pilot ability. What is the purpose of increasing you attack value after missed attacks on a ship that can only shoot once a round? The bonus goes away at the end of the round so really he/she effectively has no ability.
  18. I like your expansion! You may want to change the Launch tubes to something like "You may treat performing a Slam action as revealing a dial when dropping a bomb." Great work overall though. I love the use of Slam on it. It is one of my favorite actions but sadly restricted to Ks at the moment. Outside of one off uses that is.
  19. Either this should have a negative point cost, or they should be able to attack again in the combat phase. Or am I reading something wrong there. For comparison... It says cannot attack again this phase so combat attack would still happen. That would be an interesting upgrade. I like it!
  20. For zero points I think they would definitely become playable but not really competitive. As it stands now all the one use EPTs suffer from not being crack shot. FFG could also add "Limited. you may equip an additional EPT that is not Limited." Do that to AR, CH and LR. They would see lots of play.
  21. I honestly think R3 should have been "When defending you may cancel one defense die result to assign an evade token to your ship. This token can be spent immediately." Then R3 would be bad roll protection for mostly fragile ships.
  22. Lone Wolf is the last one I know of. A bit behind the times so I am probably wrong. Lone Wolf, A Score to Settle and Bodyguard are the only unique EPTs so far.

  24. Rebs have always been about synergy; that's their "thing". Be it crew/upgrades interacting with the platform that's carrying them; or ships working together; the best Rebel lists are often those built on synergy, I know the synergy thing is what they are intending to do but that requires multiple ships built a certain way. One ship goes down and so does your list. It also limits list building because you have to use certain things together to make them work. The problem with that is most times the payoff is not worth the cost. I am actually happy to see the Empire get some new interesting cards because it seems like the last few waves all the really good stuff is scum only. Jyn may be okay but she still cost an action to basically pass a focus token or two. Nothing that hasn't been done before.
