jmswood got a reaction from Kieran Rexer in Redirect Defense Token Timing!
Look at pages 2 and 4 of the Rules  Reference.
Defense Tokens are spent in step 4 of Attack. Damage is resolved in step 5.
”Redirect: The defender chooses one of its hull zones adjacent to the defending hull zone. When the defender suffers damage from this attack, it may suffer any amount of damage on the chosen zone’s shields (up to the shields remaining in that zone) before it must suffer the remaining damage on the defending hull zone.”
The italicized part of the quote must be resolved when the token is spent (step 4.) The underlined part of the quote indicates the timing for resolving the effect of the Redirect token (must be step 5 because the defender doesn’t suffer damage during step 4.)
Step 5 specifies the order of operations for damage and critical effects. Numbers and breaks added for clarity:
1 -  “The attacker can resolve one of its critical effects.
2 - “Then the attacker determines the total damage amount.”
3 - “Then the defending squadron or hull zone suffers that damage one point at a time.”
The redirect effect doesn’t do anything to prevent the attacker from resolving a critical effect. However, redirect might cause a critical effect to lose its effectiveness.
For example, the standard critical effect only happens if a damage card is dealt. If redirect is used to suffer damage to shields in a manner that no damage cards are dealt, then the standard critical effect is a moot point.
Regarding the critical effects mentioned in the OP:
ATP? I’m not familiar with that acronym.  If you meant Assault Proton Torpedoes, then shields and redirects are useless. “Deal 1 faceup damage card to the defender,” is resolved regardless of shields or redirects.
Assault Concussion Missiles: The adjacent hull zones suffer damage in part 1 of step 5. Then the effect of spending the redirect token resolves in part 2 of step 5. If the Assault Concussion Missile took the shields of the adjacent hull zones down to zero, then the redirect token was wasted.

I see you haven’t been in the forums much. As a friendly tip; save yourself the energy of typin card and combo explanations.
How long have you been playing this game? This list...
    ...smells like fresh meat.
Friendly list building tip #1: not every upgrade slot should be filled every time.
Any competent opponent will kill your Farlander for that tasty 53-point chunk of MoV before he uses half his upgrades. A good opponent with a half-baked list should kill that Farlander before it does anything useful.
General guidance for B-wings: run them as light as possible to  minimize the  inevitable  pain of losing them.
If you want Nym in a 2-ship list, take a large base ship or a regen ship for Nym’s wingman.
Friendly list building tip #2: Missiles are better than Torpedoes. Point for point. Every time.
Nym has a missile upgrade option. Drop the Proton Torps and take any missile. Almost any missile is a better choice than a Proton Torp.
Friendly List Building Tip #3: Sensor Jammer is overpriced and it’s only good if you can prevent your opponent from changing focus results to hits. Sensor Jammer gets less effective and more overcosted with every wave.
Your list doesn’t do any of the things Sensor Jammer needs to work properly. Use a different System Upgrade or take Collision Detectors (free) and spend the 8 points somewhere else.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: make VI and Adaptability both generics only.

A hard cap of PS 9 has been suggested before.  It would probably prompt a lot of (big) initiative bids, but that might bean acceptable alternative - if you're opponent's giving up double figures in points, they're giving up double figures in ships/upgrades.

Drop the Accuracy Correctors. With 6 more points you can take Captain Rex with Sabine’s Masterpiece, Tactician and EMP Device. He protects your other ships and contributes to the theme of your list.
I like Stressbug Ezra better than the Stresshog, even if Ezra can’t ionize anything. Ezra is harder to kill and can take Gunner or Baze to lay down more stress.

Dismally low expectations. I’ll be looking for spoilers before I give Disney my money this time.
The mystery surrounding Han, Chewie, Lando, the Falcon and the Kessel Run is part of what makes them oustanding elements of Star Wars lore.
The upcoming Solo film is set to repeat the mistakes of the Prequel Trilogy; telling us things we already know and showing us things we shouldn’t see.
The Solo movie will probably be exciting and visually stunning, but I believe it will ultimately be a disservice to the audience.

I would take Linked Battery and Collision Detector on the B’s instead of FCS.
    I’m not sold on your Y’s. It’s pretty easy to avoid range 1 against a PS2 Y-wing.

I don’t like it, but take that with a grain of salt.
The best way to beat Talonbane or Fenn is keep them at range 2.
With that in mind, I think Juno with VI is a good counter because she can use her ability for range control and take Advanced Targeting to push damage.
Blocking Talonbane or Fenn into Range 2 is a great tactic. You can block with the Delta, then your other ships can hit Talonbane or Fenn while they’re actionless and vulnerable.

What about flipping the Ion sources?  It wouldn't be auto-damage, but having a range two attack bubble is a lot stronger than a range 1.  Two Ion Turrets can (fairly reliably) lock down one ship's maneuvers, and the linked batteries gives your hammers (the Blues) some passive attack mods.  You'd need to be careful of bombers, of course, because one or two well-placed Proton Bombs can pop your B-Wings before you know what hit you... but aside from that, despite 1 agility, you've got a whipping THIRTY TWO health for your opponent to chew through.
