    If you look at impact on the fanbase, TLJ and the Vong have a lot in common. The last thing Star Wars needs is more hugely divisive content.

    The FAQ takes precedence, particularly as that section of the RR has been errated.
    Only if you hit an asteroid with your dialled manoeuvre (or ioned manoeuvre, or white 2 straight for revealing a red whilst stressed, for completeness), do you skip your Perform Action step.

    The X-Wing now gets 2 mods and a droid slot. Show me another ships that does that. 
    The X-Wing can _eject the droid_ for a bit of extra survivability. That's fluffy AF. How is this something we're complaining about?!

    That's not exactly how that works.  Engine Techs passively triggers every round you use a nav command.. be it a dial or token.  Engine Techs does not have a speed or yaw that you can adjust.  It is simply a "speed 1 maneuver."  That is determined by the maneuver chart on the ship equipped with Engine Techs.

    The target is already in arc, or you wouldn't be able to resolve Ketsu.
    Yes you can move a ship you are touching, so they are no longer touching. Then that ship is a valid target for an attack. Take advantage of the reduced agility while you can.

    In answer to the OP: The future of the TIE Fighter is not in this game, at least not in its current version. The devs killed the TIE Swarm in cold blood. 
    There are a lot of great possible ways to make TIE fighters good and fun. I doubt any of them will happen in an FFG sanctioned format. Alternate formats are the future of the TIE fighter, especially if you want it to have any thematic value in addition to viability against other ships.

    It’s not “cancelled, time is turned back and you start again afresh.”
     
    Remember, once you even declare a target you are working your way through the attack flow and irrevocable decisions have been made.

    Deadeye was a casualty of (ironically) FFG's unbelievably bad aim when nerfing.  There's no reason for it to stay nerfed.

    Intensity/Juke Jake has a nice open dial and almost-reasonable offensive output while still being quite difficult to kill, comes in at 28 points.

    I like Bodhi and M9-G8. AP-5 doesn't need Pulsed Ray Shield because with Bodhi and M9 you could just keep AP-5 out of the fight. 
    I like R7 Tarn because he is a cockroach and he only eats 25 of 29 available points (I'll come back to that.)
    You don't want Jess with Lone Wolf Dash because Jess wants a formation.
    Ahsoka is another support ship. Now you're making Dash do all the work, and he's already drawing all the heat as a priority target. 
    I would consider investing more points in Dash. The value of Countermeasures on Dash cannot be overstated in a game with too much ordnance. You can afford Countermeasures on Dash if you take Tarn with R7.

    Nah, the whole mess is still a whole mess, it's just one where there was a common consensus previously that has been disrupted.  It would have been disrupted by Palp if M9 hadn't happened.  E: and it's OL and Palp that actually did the disrupting - before that blocking mods wasn't possible, so it didn't matter who was the source of them.
    What the source of a dice modification is, now matters, and it's honestly unclear what the intention is in the case of Howlrunner, Jonus etc.  I'd like to see a more general rule, tbh, saying something along the lines of modification always being done by the ship with the upgrade or ability that is doing the modification.  It would be a very clear cut way of ruling, and we wouldn't have to whinge about wording being inconsistent.

    Why are all of you talking like the Wave 1 ships arent viable options anymore? I often use Assault Frigates, Victories and all the other stuff from that era and it works just great. Jesus Christ this is not X-Wing lol.
