I agree that it would make sense for the dual sided cards to not affect list building, but there is nothing in the Rules that states that.
Though since last I checked, all upgrades that add actions were not affecting squad building in the official squadbuilder. That is a very significant change to the rules with no corroborating update to the rules reference, which makes a bug a very likely cause.

So this came up again recently in a few groups I follow and it was interpreted as both abilities applying. Essentially, the ship would engage at both I7 and I0, but after engaging at I7 it cannot engage a second time and thus does not end up engaging at I0. This would mean that HP and Roark would always override Torkil regardless of player order. It's an interesting interpretation that holds some merit since neither is replacing the initiative or (as written) replacing the other's engagement initiative.

It half worked in the old app, it would work if you equipped S-Foils (closed) but not if you equipped S-Foils (open), due to a terrible design choice to treat double-sided upgrades as different upgrades. Since there has never been any mention of how double sided cards affect list building in the rules reference, most people believe that you can equip Daredevil with S-Foils and FFG has never contradicted that belief.
I'm curious to see what the new app will allow when the upgrade support is fixed.

Both modify the dice after the dice are rolled and before the Modify Dice step.
From the Rules Reference under card clarifications:
C-3PO - "Q: How does Han Solo [Rebel, Modified YT-1300]'s ability interact with C-3PO [Rebel, Crew]?
A: The "if you do and you roll exactly that many evade results..." portion of C-3PO's ability triggers occurs after the dice are rolled, before the Modify Dice step. Thus, Han Solo's effect occurs after C-3PO's effect has been resolved. If using Han Solo after using C-3PO, the added die must be rerolled."Count Dooku - "Q: When does Count Dooku (W)'s ability take effect?
A: Count Dooku's ability takes effect after the dice are rolled (before the Modify Dice step during an attack, or before other dice modification effects are applied for dice rolled at any other time)." -
I like YASB most because of the speed of use. I can start theory crafting in multiple factions with out having to login or create a list.
I really like the new app and that is probably my preference (or will be when they fix the bugs) for mobile use. I do wish that the upgrade names were visible in the condensed view, and that the add ship window used drop downs for ships.

It is, which is why it is still not phrased as well as it could have been. It would have been better if they specified "Unless a ship has a weapon with an attack range of 0, ..." as that would have addressed the concern with Major Rhymer.

Technically the Official App was not so much updated as it was replaced. Take a look in the Android App Store and you should be able to find a new X-Wing Squad Builder app from FFG with the same icon as the old one.

A few other items:
- Tavson no longer works with Electronic Baffle to load up tokens for the next round.
- You can apparently Fuse obstacles, I'm not sure how one would do that yet or if it is for an upcoming upgrade.
- An answer on how to handle more damage than damage cards.
- Devices were fixed so each damage deals a damage card.
- Cluster Mines were fixed to affect one ship and still work if that ship moved through the mine.
- Concussion Bombs are dropped using the 1 [Straight]
- Clarification that a 3 Left and a 3 Right are different templates.

I'm pretty sure this glitch extends to all upgrades that change what you can equip on a ship. You can't equip Targeting Computer and Tarkin on a Lambda, or Squad Leader and Tactical Officer on any ship without a red coordinate. I also wasn't able to equip Shield Upgrade and Angled Deflectors on a TIE Interceptor.

bit of a necro, but one I've thought of a lot recently.

The only things that qualify as ability requirements, as specified by the rules reference, are explicit requirements (When this happens, if this is true, you may...), attack requirements if the ability grants a bonus attack, and cost requirements if the ability requires you to spend a cost.
Selecting a target is not an ability requirement, and it is explicitly stated in the rules reference that you do not select a target until resolving the ability so there is no requirement to pre-select a target to queue the ability.
-
You just need a lock to spend in order to add it to the queue, you don't technically have to select a target until you use the ability so you could have a lock on another ship, use that lock to add the ability to the queue and then acquire a lock on your real target and spend that one when using the ability.

Actually it is, as mentioned in this post, "An ability cannot be added to the queue if its cost could not be paid at the time it is added."
Which makes me think this may not work. -

When you attack or defend, you may receive a stress token to change one of your results to an eyeball result.
I like that a lot, there have been times I would even prefer an eye result over a hit result with Garven. His ability feels too luck dependent now that you can't spend a focus token if you have no eye results.
That could be hard to balance on Luke though.

My favorite combo so far is running one with MMP and C-3PO. I like that I can keep my turret pointed to the side and still get rerolls on my MMP attacks using Fire Convergence. C-3PO also provides a pretty good defense for the ship with the ability reroll defense dice.
It's pricey, but makes for a fun ship that doubles for support and offense.

Search the damage deck for a console-fire crit. You are dealt that card face-up.

Because while most people know that Order-66 involved exterminating the Jedi, they also specifically targeted Astromech as well. No-one knows why, but Palpatine just had it out for those little guys.
Anyway, as a result the number of Astromech droids dropped significantly during the Galactic Civil War and it wasn't until the New Republic was formed that Astromechs started being produced again.
All of that was of course a joke, and I have no idea why there hasn't been a generic Astromech released since the conversion kits.

I expect I'll use BGG's forums for most of my other FFG games and I'll likely look there for info on this game as well. Facebook and Reddit feel more like hybrid blog sites / chat rooms and Discord is just a chat room. I prefer the classic online forum to those formats.
