  1. I see this as one of those cards that can bring a player up to mid tier. The super competitive players who seem to be omniscient will be spending their points elsewhere. Same tier as Stay On Target, Navigator, Imperial Boba Fett, and (tries not to gag) Maneuvering Fins. Great cards for newer players.

Stay on Target - mid tier?! How very dare you sir! :)

I've been trying to find a bloody place to use this for so long and I can FINALLY throw it onto Nien Numb for shenanigans of the highest order.

Unfortuneatly useless against ships with 8 or higher ps

  2. I find the idea of the Lothal costing 141% of what Tobber costs for a bigger attack and increased doubled hitpoints to be a hard point in comparison.  If you could double a ship's life and increase its firepower by paying a 41% "fee" wouldn't you do it?

The answer is yes! But I wish it wasn't.

  3. Large base, 2 crew, systems slot, lack of high PS, lack of barrel roll or boost. The reason I compared them is that I found myself kitting out a cheap version of the u-wing the same way I would a lothal rebel.

    minus the auto-blasters :(

Right. Which is another reason why I think the lothal rebel may be better value.

  4. we havn't played with the 0 k yet, but it's safe to say that dependency on the title makes it a lot more clunky than the 5k

also, slight problem in that you don't move with the 0 k. So, if you get outplayed or even bumped and you're facing the wrong way, you're kinda boned (without hera)

the VCX doesn't have that problem because it'll plop itself behind the enemy regardless (if not flown poorly)

    I agree. I think a 5k is better than a 0 k turn. While they are both predictable I think a 5 k will keep u much safer than a 0 k

  5. U-Wing Heff Tobber:

    PS: 3

Pilot Ability: If enemy ship runs into you, you get free action

Dial highlight: Can do a zero stop or a zero K-Turn

    Upgrades: Hera Crew (1) & FCS (2)

    Price: (24) + (1) + (2) = 27

    Stats: 3-1-4-4

Action bar: Focus & Target Lock

Other: Can increase agility by 1 to loose ability to Zero K-Turn

    Lothal Rebel:

    PS: 3

    Pilot Ability: None

    Dial highlight: 5 K-Turn

    Upgrades: Hera Crew (1) & FCS (2)

    Price: (35) + (1) + (2) = 38

    Stats: 4-0-10-6

Action bar: Focus, Evade & Target Lock

    U-Wing Pros:

    -11 points cheaper

-Gain free action if bumped (ability)

    -Gain 1 agility

    -Gain another agility (sometimes)

    -Can do a 0 stop and or a 0 K-Turn

    -Looks gorgeous

    Lothal Rebel Pros:

    -Gain 1 attack

    -Gain 6 Hull

    -Gain 2 Shields

    -Gain evade action

    -Can do 5 K-Turn

What are your thoughts? I think spending an extra 11 points just to get the extra health and attack dice might be more bang for your buck.

  6. Expose. Terrible card. Terrible price. Your chances of getting hits is better if u take a target lock or focus. And guess what that cost 4 points less than expose. Not to mention you lose an agility. Which potentially could cause u to lose 3 green dice if u get shot 3 times in one round.

Leia. I suppose this card could pay off in epic. If you flew a giant block of ships in formation and wanted to flip them around. Still I wish they would make another Leia upgrade card so she could see some actual play time.

  7. It's good, but there's no end-gamer. If your opponent gets Biggs off the board quick, you're kinda hosed -- Norra can't carry herself without PtL, and Snap is just a T-70 -- he'll go down quick enough. I'd definitely swap the R2 on Biggs out for R4-D6 to help him survive a bit longer.

(Also, critic is a noun. Critique is a verb. A critic is one who critiques).

Haha thanks for the advice. And thanks for finding my grammar brain fart.

Fly in formation. The idea is to try and stack focus tokens early with Rey onto Norra. Have Snap target lock his mother Norra turn 1. This allows Norra to have a soft predator, have a focus token, and take a target lock action to spend to add the extra focus. This should really help her get 3 to 5 hits every turn. Not only that since she is pilot skill 9 she can dodge arcs with bb8 if needed. Any suggestions?

  9. I've used those IKEA cases before myself. And the Imperial Assault mini's on top. (painted by a friend of mine.)

(I used window privacy film to create the black backdrop and hide the wires to the lighting. It makes the mini 'pop'.)

    Sick!

  10. Looking good, but what about the rest of your fleets!

You are showing the Firespray -31 with the Imperial ships, why not with the Scum where it belongs and excels in that faction?

Good point. But I don't actually own any scum. My buddy forgot his scum stuff at my house the last time he was over.

Yes my collection does have holes in it. Working on it!

  11. Well the inner nerd in me is very very very slightly annoyed that the TIE bomber should have a blue glow on the engines, and the K-wing a red glow, But the artist in me is very happy with this either way, they aren't my ships, dress them anyway you want! Also neat idea with the tokens, seen this floating around the internet a bit. simple solution, really makes them POP, like you said.

Lol my bad. For simplicity I just made all the rebel engines blue and all the imp engines red
