If you're talking about the display case, Ikea. If your talking about the template organizer I got it from this guy: https://www.facebook.com/Xwingtrays/?ref=page_internal Clay is a great guy and he makes these wooden masterpieces from hand.

It's a little far fetched. At least endor and hoth aren't tooooo far away
-
Haha ya I wish I could play xwing in a lazy boy. My Hoth map is actually 1/4 inch larger than 3 x 3 and the Endor map is 1/4 inch smaller than 3 x 3. Weird!
-
My dining room table is too small for 2 xwing mats. So, I got a 1/2 inch 4x8 foot MDF board at the local hardware store. They cut off 2 feet for me to turn it into a 4x6 foot board. Check out the new digs
-
Turns out my old map is 1/4 too short and my new map is 1/4 too big lol. No worries though they are gorgeous. Seems like it could cause issues at a hyper competitive level.

Ill post a pic tonight

Anyone else find that the new Hoth map is about 1/2 an inch bigger in width and length than the other maps? I'm building a table that is exactly 3x3 so now the mat will overhang slightly ;( Oh well. Still awesome.

Whoops forgot she was PS 9 so she is probably activating last.
-
Does electronic baffle allow quickdraw to perform a red maneuver and then shoot in the activation phase before anyone has tokens? And then shoot again normally in the combat phase?

Fair point, they are similar. I am biased as well. When I was learning the game and trying to get better at flying I played against a fat dash and he just flew around in circles lobbing 4 red dice. It felt cheap and unskilled. I'm in the corner that believes PWT's were a mistake and a 4 dice PWT at range 3 seems too heighten this. I do appreciate that they gave Dash a donut hole for some balance. I like that they tried to get away from PWTs with the shadowcasters mobile arc and at least sort of get away from it with Rey/Finn considering she is fairly useless without getting arc.
-
Dash can also go through asteroids, has the barrel roll action, and has an extra agility. Dash can just fly around in circles with no concern for arc or for asteroids. Rey takes a lot more skill to fly as she has to keep arc and she has to dodge asteroids. Power creep much? Don't think so.

I like your point. My counterpoint is that thematically you can't sit in a corner in space and point all your guns forward. There is no board edge in space therefore if you want to sit still and aim all your ships facing one way the enemies should be able to flank you. This is not possible with the board edges.

I prefer VI and have had lots of success with it. The ability to move last can be huge for keeping her in arc. Being able to move last and decide if you want to flip or not after a 3 bank, and then be able to boost means you can be very very reactive. Not having that expertise-focus means you will pack less of a punch but it means you will last longer as you are not getting shot as much. Also, expertise can be ruined if your opponent has a stress giving mechanic. Also, VI is 3 points cheaper which lets you beef up your companion or save for initiative bid.

Rey is hot. She's soloed so many games for me. Still having a hard time figuring out her wingmate.

What swarm leader should have been to bring swarms back
TBot replied to Chief Hugh's topic in X-Wing
You can only spend 2 evades on the original swarm leader. -
BUY HOTR and the Ghost. Now you will have 4 x-wings, a K-wing, A falcon, a ghost and a phantom and excellent upgrade cards for the rebels. Now you can play some rebel vs imperial when your friends come over.

Welcome to the game FrogTrigger! Usually when you play x-wing you build a squad that costs 100 points. This article tells you what expansions to buy to build a specific 100 point squad. In the example, the guy tells you to buy: A core set- gives you the 2 tie fighters Defender expansion - gives you colonel Vessery Imperial Veterans expansion - gives you Countess Ryad A-wing expansion - gives you the Push The Limit upgrade card
-
Haha I enjoyed the article and I think it will be a great read for anyone new to the game. I was just trolling all the people who complain about X7.
-
Great. FFG released an article telling all new players to buy two defenders after buying the core because X7 is OP as *****
