What if they revamped the number of attack dice? Over 90% of X-wing ships have 2 or 3 attack attributes. This makes it hard to differentiate firepower of ships. Should a B-wing, X-wing, attack shuttle, E-wing, U-wing, Falcon all have the same firepower? Probably not. The agility of ships seems to be in a better spot because they can differentiate so much by using 0,1,2,3 agility. This really limits the design space. There really should be some 2.5 attack values in there somewhere. What if they introduced a half dice? (1 hit, 1 crit, 1 focus, 5 blanks) What if they revamped the number of attack/agility dice. For instance: Z-95 2 Attack, Shuttle 3 attack, X wing 4 attack, U wing 4 attack, falcon 5 attack, VCX 6 attack (obviously this would require a lot of balancing in other areas) More dice, more fun! More dice, more differentiation! More dice, more design space! I guess this would be my recommendation for all those x-wing 2.0 threads.

Harker's SCUM Re-Paints & Conversions
TBot replied to Barry Harker's topic in X-Wing Painting and Modification
This is amazing Barry! For some reason it reminds me of Samus from Metroid. -
Vader doesnt need a nerf. TLTs need a nerf.

Hmmm I'm intrigued. I always wondered why they didnt just say "you can perform an action before you receive stress from a red maneover".

How about this: 97 Points: x2 Syndicate Thug + Ion Cannon Turret x3 Jakku Gunrunner + Spacetug Tractor Array There is a few points left over you could give an ion bomb to one of them or upgrade a Gunrunner to Unkar Plutt. This would be a pretty fun list so long as you dont run up against an all large base opponent. I still can't seem to get over the fact that tractor beams are useless against most large base ships (especially the VCX and Decimator).

Its sad there's no guidance chips in there

Thanks man!

Is there anywhere that clearly states this? I'm trying to convince a friend that you can't do this.
-
Whooops. Didn't know that one.
-
oops. Thanks for clarification

Theoretically, could you line up 5 Jakku gunner runners horizontally on the leftish side of the map, catch an opopnent in range 1 in the middle of the map and then continually throw that ship down the line like a rugby toss right off the map? I'm suprised this isn't one of the mynock bounties yet.

I don't even think you need to introduce a modification card. I think you could change the rules so that tractor beam tokens work like ion tokens on large ships.

RAC without EU just gets shot down too fast in my opinion.

I feel like Omega leader should be banned here...

Funny this thread just popped up. I was toying around with this 100 point list earlier this week: Academy Pilot (12) Epsilon Leader (19) OGP (28) -Tractor Beam, FCS, Darth Vader StarKillerBase Pilot (41) -General Hux, FCS, Kylo Rens Shuttle, Pattern Analyzer, Inspiring Recruit The tie fighter just circles flies in front and tries to block opponents when they come in for the first round of combat. The Upsilon stalls, pattern analyzer lets him do the Hux action before he receives the stress. He passes a focus token to himself, the OGP and Epsilon Leader. He can also pass out fanatical devotion to whom it best serves. He then receives a stress from Hux and a stress from the red stop. The OGP also stalls and receives a stress. Epsilon Leader just bumps into the back of one of the shuttles. Combat starts and Epsilon Leader removes a stress from both shuttles, inspiring recruit removes the extra stress on the Upsilon. Everyone has a focus token and no stress! Hopefully the OGP can tractor beam someone off the board/into asteroid/into a range 1 shot of the Upsilon. At the end of combat we should have some target locks from the FCS's and Kylo can dish out a stress to an opposing ship. Should be a fun little casual list.

The Omen has been armed... The Aturi cluster will never be the same ever again.

Thumbs up for 7-7-7 -
There are instances when this could be pretty useful. For example you have Coran Horn target locked. He has a focus token, evade token and stress token from PTL. You probably are not going to hit him anyways even if you use your target lock normally. Better to spend your target lock to add another stress so that next turn he gets no actions.
