An addendum: If, for whatever reason, players attempt to take advantage of the rules for temporarily exceeding the fleet point cap of a planet (and, say, attempt to jump more ships into a system than allowed, in the knowledge that they'd jump away next turn anyway), any excess fleet points above the cap will be shunted to deep space of the same system. I don't know if this will have much of an effect, but it may potentially mess up plans (such as invasions that count on excess GF).

Orders are in. I'm going to assume no change.
I know my vote doesn't matter, but I actually prefer GNIP's rules from a game design perspective. Sorry Republic.

Yes, excess would have to jump. In the meantime, the player with the most points supplies his entire fleet up to the maximum toward the combat, and the remainder (if there is any) is supplied by the player with the next highest fleet point count. Casualties are then divided as they would be when multiple players assault a world - a player suffers casualties proportional to the forces he contributed to the battle. So, if a side is to get 30% casualties, and two players each contributed to their side of the battle with one providing twice as many as the other, that player would suffer twice as many points lost, rounded up.

Only insofar as it results in less strategic/tactical thinking, and 'dumbs down' the game.

True, but last games there were no teams, which meant everybody was forced to be balanced to survive. No player could only build GF and hope to win a 1vAll. Here, the burden of building ships for that player is passed to a team mate, which makes everybody only doing one thing.
Granted, there are games where such a thing exists (The African Campaign[North African Campaign?] as an example), but this has not nearly that scale or complexity. If enough people think it would be fun, I'll allow it, as there is no point enforcing a Rule that reduces the fun for the players, but I believe it is necessary to add a level of complexity and careful thinking/planning to the game.

    Ah, yes, good point.
No. I want each player to have a balanced involvement in the battles. If transporting allies is allowed, then those with Training Grounds/Droid Factories would just spend their credits to pump out CF/DF, and their fleets would atrophy.

Hyperpings at Anaxes, Ando, Carida, Christophsis, Coruscant, Cato Neimoidia, Felucia, Gwori, Jabim, Khorm, and Saleucami.
A 100 point Republic Fleet clashes with a 6 point CIS Fleet over Cato Neimoidia. -9 Attacker's advantage (assuming my math is right). A 3 is rolled and converted into a -6. The CIS loses the battle in a rather anticlimactic puff of vaporized metal. Cato Neimoidoia has been bombarded by a Republic Fleet, and lost 1 Credit Production.
A 300 point Republic Fleet clashes with a 71 point CIS Fleet over Ando. -7 Attacker's advantage (assuming my math is right). A 7 is rolled and converted into a 0. The CIS loses the battle with such a whimper that Force-sensitives everywhere reacted.
Gwori falls to the Republic with nary a struggle.
Ando decided to emulate Gwori and go under with its tail tucked betwixt its legs. A Republic flag now flies over its capital.
Carida, inspired by the Jedi's talk of Balance, attempted to go quietly into the night. However, it failed to do so, and the resulting gunfight thinned the enemy's ranks. A CIS flag now flies above the planet.

    Turn 3 may now start.

Military forces cannot be loaned or trade hands. They are always in the creating player's control. However, if enough people insist, I may allow ground forces to be transported by allies. That does however require more bookkeeping, in that I will have to keep track of which GF belong to whom. The reason I am not allowing military forces to change hands is that it enables players to simply build and then hand over to their allies, thereby hardly even playing the game.

Rebellion in the Rim red objectives are surprisingly legit. Corellian Conflict reds are largely a let-down but these have some promise overall.

I agree, but as so many wanted it, I agreed to implement it, and it shall only be around for a short time.
I know, but there has to be some drawback.
It won't change. So yes, you can spend A's resources to boost B, so long as at least 1 credit goes to continuing the production.

Right. Officially implementing the Rule as:
    Emergency Powers:
During the first eight turns of the game, a planet may spend up to double its production value. It may only do so if it has not done so the previous turn. When it performs this ability, it may only purchase space forces. The excess credits must come from other planets belonging to the same Faction as the planet using this ability. The credits lent cannot also be used on the lending planet (i.e., cannot be spent twice).

    How's that?
