Thanks to Truthiness for fixing the data to grab things correctly. Luckily, there wasn't too much that actually needed fixing.  No idea why some of it was running weird, but it's all updated in the article (Toryn and MC75 Ordnances showed up more than I initially thought.  No real changes to the article were made).

If anyone wants to SEE the data, here's the link to it all.

In the interests of easier bookeeping, might I ask all players to list the start and end point in jumps, rather than just the end?

This sort of balance thing is why I am hesitant about giving an outright bonus.
On the plus side, your Droids are cheaper and can have 5 more in the garrison. It should be noted that the +1 benefit to clones is only whilst attacking. They don't have that benefit when defending.

How about we use the system I laid out above, but 500 points get an additional +/-1 in its favor?

Due to confusions regarding spreadsheets, 120 CIS points were misplaced, and as a result should have participated in the Second Battle of Kuat. They rather drastically swung the odds in the CIS's favor, with the result that the 3 became a 2, and the Republic's sufferings were worsened. Please read above the revised report.

A 469 point CIS fleet confidently throws itself against 462 points of Republic fleet over Kuat. -1 CIS advantage. A 3 is rolled and converted to a 2. The Republic loses one VC1, one AC1, one PelM, and one Z-95 Headhunter destroyed, and one VC1 and one AC2 scarred. The CIS suffers no casualties. The Republic must retreat. Kuat has been bombarded. It has lost 2 CF and 2 Production.

Cardia falls to the Republic after a bitter yet disappointingly brief struggle in which 2 Clone Units perished in order to subdue 10 Droid Units.
Cato Neimoidia falls to a Republic assault. 2 Clone Units were lost in the invasion.
Humbrine has fallen to the Separatists without a struggle.
Dathomir trades places with Humbrine and falls to the Republic without a struggle.

Alanteen IV is no longer under blockade.
Foerost is no longer under blockade.

Turn 6 will begin when certain players have responded to their PMs. Hopefully I haven't missed anything. If I didn't address something in your PMs, please bring it to my attention.

Yeah. . . so basically, not knowing how you guys did it, I used the following system:
I subtract the smaller force from the larger, and divide the result by 10% of the larger force. The integer part of the result is how many 10 percents more the larger force is than the lesser, and thus how much to modify the die roll by.
For example, in the case of Humbrine, 110 v 64, 110-64 is 46, divided by 11 (10% of 110) is 4.181818 and so on. The integer part is 4, so the die roll is modified by 4 in favor of the larger force. Since the CIS was attacking with the 110 points, the modifier would be -4. A 9 was rolled, so it would be converted into a 5. 20% CIS casualties, 40% Republic. As neither side suffers 50% casualties, and only 2 ships were involved, neither ship is scarred and thus the end result is still 110 v 64. The Republic has less surviving points, even though it didn't lose anything, and so must retreat.
This system may be more swingy than LTD's and Jabbas', but as it rewards fleets getting to 500 points (I think), or at least forces people to get higher fleets, I will continue using it.
