When I clicked this thread I expected this:

An Old Republic era version of Armada would be nice.

I'm not against new technology; I can remember what it was like before the internet and frankly I wouldn't want to go back to those days. An app could offer some advantages to Armada, but at the same time, it dilutes one of the key pleasures of a miniatures game: it's an analogue experience in an increasingly digital world.
I suspect this simple emotion is behind a lot of the opposition to making Armada digital.

Id hope not, as I have ZERO way to play it then, Im not going to get a tablet ON TOP of the game just to play. It just seems stupid

The Road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
    Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.  😁

Took this list to the regional yesterday at FFG HQ for a test flight. Four epic bloodbaths later I was in 16th with 22 points and a 3 - 1 record.
Round 1 vs Roger's Sloane list: Played his Advanced Gunnery for a 7-4 win.
Round 2 vs Andy's Sloane list: Played his Most Wanted for a 7-4 win.
Round 3 vs Ted's Jerjerrod list: He won the dice off for first player (same bid) and we played my Solar Corona. Lots of dancing ships later I had another 7-4 win.
Round 4 vs Nick's Vader list: Played his Most Wanted and got blown out by some impressive Vader rerolls. I didn't get his ISD whittled down fast enough to try and close the points gap (who goes to Speed 0 for two straight turns to stay out of engagement? Mad props for the tactic.) and he got the 10-1.
Sorry for lack of turn by turn details, I didn't think to take notes until after round 2.

To really understand the vitriolic hate that Jar Jar receives, it's important to remember that Star Wars Fandom generally, and especially Star Wars tabletop gamers, are more likely to be unmarried and more likely to not have children relative to their age-group peers.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with either single life or the kid-free life, of course, but I think the less contact one has with children and parenting, the less sympathetic one tends to be to something like Jar Jar (or Kaz or Porgs or Ewoks or BB-8 or any of the other many, many, many things about Star Wars that exist to appeal to kids and/or move product off shelves).

Making children happy isn't a sin, despite @Drasnighta's point up-thread pejoratively noting that Jar-Jar ends up a children's entertainer in canon.  Rather than viewing that as evidence of the complete and abject failure of Jar-Jar, couldn't that be viewed as seeing him as doing a more noble calling than hopping in X-Wings and blowing stuff up?  They blow you up today, you blow them up tomorrow, the conflict between Light and Dark will never end, yadda yadda.  Rather than isolating children from their parents to continue their traditions (Jedi), cloning children and denying them any sort of childhood or life to use them as instruments of war (Republic), creating a child as a vessel or slaughtering them in cold blood (Sith), destroying planet's worth of children (Empire), or freeing horses so you can escape while leaving the abused children-laborers behind to face the wrath of the stable-keepers (Resistance), "won't someone think of the children?!"  Jar-Jar is the one and only character from Star Wars who is doing something for the children, and not just treating them as a means to an end in some endless cycle of war and conflict.

In that regard, he may well be the most noble and heroic figure in the entire series.  He was always the kindest character towards Anakin, and unlike the Jedi, Palpatine, and even Padme (TPM), he always treated Anakin as more of an equal and wasn't just using him for something.  Jar-Jar just genuinely liked Anakin, he didn't like Anakin because of what he might become or what problem he might solve.   Heck, if everyone had been more like Jar-Jar, Anakin would have never become Darth Vader.  And that's why people hate Jar-Jar.   He emphasizes what is really important in life: happiness, friendship, and good food...not glory or pride or wealth.  The sort of stuff no one  else across 10 films ever allows themselves to really prioritize or pause and enjoy, despite that being what they are ostensibly fighting for, except maybe Yoda.  And that's some fine company for any character.

Hoth.  The Rebels are second with both Blockade Run and Planetary Ion Cannon, and get 6 GR-75 Medium Transports, Toryn Farr, Rieekan, Derlin, Bright Hope and 6 X-wing squadrons.  The lifeboat and cap rules are not in effect.  The Empire gets 6 Imperial II-class Star Destroyers, Admiral Ozzel, the Vader officer and the Executor.

I would really like the Dreadnought cruiser to be released. Growing up with the Thrawn trilogy books and games like Rebellion I really like the ship.
Next on my list would be Carrack Light Cruiser.
For fighters I would mostly like to see the Assault Gunboat

The invite only worlds I am strongly against. Having an inclusive, open community for all is of paramount importance. Going to invite only encourages bad elements in the community and game play in general. One thing about gamers, if you flip the 'you must win at all costs' switch, then some people sure will and I really don't want to see that happen to our community.
