  1. I totally understand the concern, but can we all put into perspective that the rebels and empire get movies at least every 2 years?  If there is some godlike Rebel/Empire ship coming out of the next movie, we won't know for months.   Just relax and trust FFG.

If mindlink/Jumps get nerfed.... scum will need help again.  This new stuff coming is future scum, and I'm very happy to see it.

  2. I bought 2 boxes.  One the first day it was released and another one a few weeks later.  Got the exact same 30 rares in each box and 2 of the same 6 Legendary cards.  While that was nice since I now have 2 of things like Grevious, Leia, Qui-Gon, Jetpack, Sith Holocron, etc..  I didn't need to end up with 4 Veers, 4 Bala-Tik, 4 Ackbar, 4 Nightsisters, 4 Tuskens, 4 Force Trainings (got 2 in each box).  The repeat legendaries I got were Launch Bay and Force Choke.

Atleast 2 force choke is good.  Shrug

  3. I read the FAQ and it said damage is dealt when you are placing damage on your character.

    is not true.

    ^^^^

ummm.... The FAQ LITERALLY SAYS: Damage is taken only when one or more damage tokens are placed on the character.

After reading this entire thread, I don't think the answer is clear.  The moving damage description says "NEW CHARACTER" which implies it is talking about cards specifically targeting 2 characters (not support to character).

This is my opinion, and I now want FFG to comment.

  4. I went to my 2nd bi-weekly xwing event last week. It was a lot of fun, but still learning and I made a lot of mistakes. No big deal. One thread here (rules lawyering) reminder me of an opponent that left me feeling helpless.

Now in the moment, I ended up winning so I let things slide. But had things gone different, I would probably still feel really cheated. He was decloaking and bumped my ship, but it was obvious he needed this decloak to go his way (he hit an asteroid due to block during movement step). He was blocked by a good amount. He pushed my ship back (quarter of an inch?), I sort of blurted out in confusion "Doesn't look like it'll fit." As a newbie the phantom is a mystical creature, so it wasn't obvious in the moment why this mattered so much to my opponent.

He a few turns later was K-turning a Defender over my Shadowcaster. It looked really tight. He kind of did this fast place template loosely against ship grab ship action, then dropped nearly touching Shadowcaster. He obviously was upset about his phantom landing on a rock, so I decided to bite my tongue.

Lastly, I could understand if all his play were sloppy, but they were not.

In restrospect, his style was almost practiced and aggressive. He moved in such a way that forced me to say something uncomfortable. I've played magic the gathering in several tournaments, so I'm not afraid to call a judge. The problem is I ran the conversations in my head and it was always akward. In mtg, you know a trigger was missed, mechanic is wrong, etc. 99% when I called a judge I knew I was right going into the conversation, but I didn't want to argue with my opponent. Now if I call a judge, "My opponent moved his ship sloppy" or some variation. It's his word against mine. How can I prove he was one tenth of an inch off? Every interaction feels confrontational.

There was a few minor other moments, but the 2 mentioned were massively game changing. It wasn't even the movements, it was the casual bravado of "I challenge you to say something" vibe I got. Or "I'm going to do this, worst case I apologize and take it back." Either way, I become the bad guy.

  5. Gets,

I have to report that I was FINALLY able to make this happen. Funny thing, completely not planned, on the night that I showed up at the FLGS with my dual-Firesprays, there were two other guys also with two scum Firesprays. There were 4 games played by those lists, and all 4 were won that night. I am sure that does not mean that they will sweep the next set of tournaments, but it was so great to see them on the table :)

    pics or didn't happen.

  6. Refit: (-1) Squad points

    ****Fits on Torpedo/Missile/Modification slot.

Slave 1: (2) Gain System Upgrade and Loop action.  Slave 1 does a Loop in episode 2.  Could this be a stop maneuver or 1 reverse?  Make it an action like Inertial dampeners.   Lore wise, Slave 1 was very advanced.  Gameplay, Fire Control Systems/HLC/IG-88D crew could be neat with IG-88B.

  7. Slave 1 should have a system upgrade slot. Fett made it the most advanced ship in the galaxy. It didn't need a torpedo slot. I'd also recommend Slave 1 gets a weapon discount. Like -1 to any equiped weapon.

I also wish IG-88D crew wasn't actually a crew slot. Like a generic title that was Large ship and scum only. It would probably make the jumpmasters more broken, but for the firespray/hounds tooth it is fine. Neither of them even have boost naturally.

  8. Brobot Fett (100)

    Boba Fett (52) - Firespray-31

    Attanni Mindlink (1), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), IG-88D (1), Engine Upgrade (4)

    IG88-B (48) - Aggressor

Attanni Mindlink (1), Fire Control System (2), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), IG-2000 (0), Autothrusters (2)

how about this? Mindlink is more efficient action, and you get the damage from iG-B

This last list is insanity, but I do think it's trying to do the same thing as the Aggressor list... It can generate stress like crazy.
