Glad this is back. Time to lose to SABINE!

26 minutes ago, SpiderMana said:"Open" as in System Open? Those are most definitely extended.
They do have Hyperspace Qualifiers on day two, generally, so don't count that format out, but. Yeah.
Sadly not, LVO is just the name of the event, which dates back before the open series.
-
I'm assuming extended, but??? It's more of a side event for me, but the event seems low on information.
-
SOTL - This is my thinking as well.

Apparently the correct answer is 1 damage. This seems absurd to me. Agility based ships are at a disadvantage in 2.0, and this rule punishes a lot of flimsy ships.

Not sure, that's how that works? The unit leader determines the cover for the opponent based on his LOS. The other mini's just need LOS.

This is a topic I am currently interested in, as I've never played a game like this before.

^^^ so much this.... even when I win all my games with a list. "Hmm, so what should I fly next time?"

Green dice re-roll sounds great, but I wouldn't want Omega leader using it.

I want the firepray to be completely rebuilt. Would anyone actually be upset if the firespray was "reimagined?"
So a medium based ship is created, what would it be??
1) I would assume it uses large based ship barrel roll.
2) They'd be 1.5 bases in size?
any other thoughts?
I'd want the firespray to have a mobile firing arc (Front or back only).... play like Quickdraw with options for fire control systems and primed thrusters. Boba fett had all the legal AND illegal tech. Maybe even create a new Tech. A card that takes 1 system AND 1 illicit (IG could use it too).

3a) Biggs needs to be nerfed. His current wording completely removes player choice, which is almost universally bad design. My preferred change that I’ve got penciled in for my house rules is to essentially make Biggs a range 1 reverse rebel captive. "Once per round, the first ship that declares an attack against another friendly ship at Range 1 of you and could have targeted you instead, receives a stress token." P.S. Spoiler alert, yes I am rebalancing the entire game with my own house rules because I’m crazy, but that’s a discussion for some other time.
3b) R4-D6 needs a nerf. You should only be able to trigger it if you're not already stressed. Makes Biggs way too good especially with his ability.
or just ban him.

jumpmaster nerf seems... ok. I'm not sold. It's still really cheap with a phenomenal dial. Let's see if it holds up.
Adv Slam nerf is a nightmare only because it erases that card. If someone can explain how it has any valuable use now for 2 points, im all ears.
wish there were, at the very least, small tweaks to Biggs and tlt, especially since Biggs is ludicrous speed crazy at the moment.
Advanced slams to feed Rey crew? Mindlink probably has to be nerfed eventually, it was warping the game too much. However, I cannot be the only one noticing ML is basically being erased by the biggs list, and not doing well against all the new bombers+dash lists. In the long run, nerfing all of them works for me, but the powercreep feels more obvious now.

Ever since Wave 11 came out, scum has been declining dramatically. Mindlink has basically stopped seeing play (or will) going forward. I don't even think a scum player made top 8 at the FFG store championship?? My store championship last week was 4 rebels in the top 4. 31 players. 17 rebels, 7 scum, 7 imperials. The biggs list is dramatically warping the meta.

How do you all feel about this??
I will probably play this list after the new FAQ hits. With the assumption mindlink and jumps are nerfed, I'm not going to obsess over teching to beat these two.
Nascar Edition (100)
Asajj Ventress (51) - Lancer-class Pursuit Craft
Push The Limit (3), Cad Bane (2), Scavenger Crane (2), Engine Upgrade (4), Proximity Mines (3)Ketsu Onyo (49) - Lancer-class Pursuit Craft
Expertise (4), Dengar (3), Engine Upgrade (4)I'd like to consider a counter measures version. I think removing Latts is the thing I'll get the most grief over.
Ketsu might worth with Cad if she takes gyro instead. I find ketsu doesn't want to fly like Asajj so PTL isn't a natural fit. Asajj loves PTL which makes action bombs more obvious. Also Asajj's lower PS is an advantage with action bombs.

I'm not convinced it's any more game-breaking than Rau-boats or the other squads we see a lot of at the moment, but its pretty good.
Do you know exact list?

I could see future cards allowing bounty hunter allies. "I need them alive. No disintegration." The only flaw is you'd need to restrict the ships somehow, or open a big door of problems.

I listen to:
Scum and Villiany, Nova, Radio TCX, Mynock, Gold squad, and Stay on target.
My 1 hour commute contributes to my podcast cravings.
Scum and Viliany is by far my favorite. They have a good mix of personality, competitive chatter and discussion. Negatives; their list building can be too much on the cute side (But fun to hear if nothing else), and I find they all tend to agree with each other. A round table discussion can end up with 4 repeated opinions. It could be the state of the meta, and not so much their fault.
Mynocks are 2nd fav; good personality and the discussion feels like you are hanging out with friends. I like the back and forth. Solid guests work well because there aren't too many voices. They are good at interviews and guests tend to bring new ideas or opinions to keep things fresh.
Krayts: Too many cooks in the kitchen, there are like 3 people I hear talking that I pay attention to, but after listening to all episodes I still don't even know the names of ppl due to the chaos. The show got good when people started talking content. The blunt nature and meta talk is refreshing, because I think all other podcasts try hard to be P.C. I think the Howards offer credibility to this podcast and I'm always happy when they are around. Paul is also a great guest. He's like the Segorney weaver to their ghostbusters 1 story.
Radio TCX is in a strange place. I think their worst attritube is being short. It's possible if they went longer they'd be a worse show. My impression is they have a good handle on competitive xwing, so I feel like I can trust their opinions. The problem is they focus very heavily on article reviews. They always have something insightful to say during them, but I am left feeling like I ate fast food. Quick fortune cookie info and done. I'd like to think they could go deeper.
Nova is dead, not going to bother. They did get long winded. I did enjoy battle reports. But mostly, if i respected the player.
Gold Squad; Dion is amazing. He's 100% effort and enthusiasm. His interviews are great(justin phua, etc). Marcel adds great knowledge and commentary also.

FFG Live Star Wars™: Legion AMA Question Thread
in Star Wars: Legion
Posted
Question #1: what events will you appear at in 2020? (and alex)
question #2 - Tauntauns...........thoughts?
question #4 - we are all happy to buy lots of star wars stuff, but have you put any thought into a time when empire is "done with new corps units" ... not saying we need specific examples, but just a general look ahead big picture thoughts?
question #5 - Any thought put into generating more players for store events? This seems like legion's biggest weakness compared to games like MTG/xwing. Dice as prizes part of this? Keep doing dice please!
Question #6 - Speaking of dice, could we see more types of dice in our future? You guys seem more free with creating new tokens, rather than dice.
Question #7 - Why does FFG not get into the acrylic business? Official acrylic tokens would be awesome.
Question #8 - For tournaments, is FFG considering more strict terrain requirements? I think a lot of people would be happy to buy terrain, for the right price. Area terrain is rarely available right now. Most people rely on 3d printing structures/objectives.
