  1. SFO? I took vader with since he is a character killer, and in the area I live in, the main meta is rebel aces. Strom just seems so weird with the fickleness of red dice. I'll admit it just doesn't have a whole lot of staying power against ISD's or MC80's but its not designed to be upfront and personal aside from demo. I could drop demo and instead put in another arquitten so that way they all can sit at long range and have a way better chance at dealing with the ISD or MC80
  2. So I was running this fleet the other day against a rebel ace's list and won with like a 9-2. I am looking for some suggestions to turn this into a list that I could in a tournament. The list that I fought against was gallant haven, yavaris, luke, wedge, dutch, jan and some other things along with some smaller ships. Here is what I ran. Ozziling kittens Faction: Galactic Empire Points: 396/400 Commander: Admiral Ozzel Assault Objective: Most Wanted Defense Objective: Fighter Ambush Navigation Objective: Solar Corona Arquitens-class Command Cruiser (59 points) - Dual Turbolaser Turrets ( 5 points) = 64 total ship cost Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points) - Comms Net ( 2 points) = 25 total ship cost [ flagship ] Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points) - Admiral Ozzel ( 20 points) = 43 total ship cost Gladiator I-Class Star Destroyer (56 points) - Demolisher ( 10 points) - Engine Techs ( 8 points) - Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points) = 79 total ship cost Arquitens-class Light Cruiser (54 points) - Dual Turbolaser Turrets ( 5 points) = 59 total ship cost 1 Dengar ( 20 points) 1 Colonel Jendon ( 20 points) 1 Darth Vader ( 21 points) 1 TIE Advanced Squadron ( 12 points) 1 Maarek Steele ( 21 points) 2 TIE Defender Squadrons ( 32 points) Any thoughts on how to improve?
  3. I could swap out some of the fighter for 3 more defenders. I have been trying to find a good imperial fighter list that is tournament competitive
  4. One guy at the tournament I was in the other day used 2 mc30's, one was Admonition, 2 corvettes with engine techs and reinforced blast doors, 3 transports and reiken. He came in first.
  5. So I have been theory crafting for a little while trying to make a new list that I can use in tournament play. This is what I came up with. Any suggestions are more than welcome as I am still not very good with coming up with great fleet docs. The idea was to be able to possibly go up against most fleets letting the fighters do the work for me and keeping the vics as a screen for the gozanties. Vics and fighters Faction: Galactic Empire Points: 394/400 Commander: Moff Jerjerrod Assault Objective: Precision Strike Defense Objective: Fighter Ambush Navigation Objective: Solar Corona Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points) - Comms Net ( 2 points) = 25 total ship cost Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points) - Comms Net ( 2 points) = 25 total ship cost Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points) - Comms Net ( 2 points) = 25 total ship cost Victory I-Class Star Destroyer (73 points) - Ordnance Experts ( 4 points) - Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points) = 82 total ship cost [ flagship ] Victory I-Class Star Destroyer (73 points) - Moff Jerjerrod ( 23 points) - Ordnance Experts ( 4 points) - Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points) = 105 total ship cost 1 Dengar ( 20 points) 1 Colonel Jendon ( 20 points) 1 Darth Vader ( 21 points) 1 Maarek Steele ( 21 points) 1 TIE Advanced Squadron ( 12 points) 1 "Howlrunner" ( 16 points) 2 TIE Interceptor Squadrons ( 22 points)
  6. I like the idea of using points. It makes it more balanced. Yes winning is "most important" in a tournament; but I ask you, what is a win when all you can pull off are 6-5s? It allows a person who had a bad game still have a chance at 1st or second place.
  7. We have a group of players here in the panhandle of Florida that play at TBS Comics in Fort Walton Beach every Wednesday night starting around 1800ish. We have plenty of stuff if you need to borrow things and if you don't play we can do demo games. Friday nights there is also a group that plays over in Pensacola over at The Game Space at around roughly 1800 as well. If you need any other info just feel free to PM me.
