Then you aren't likely aren't the target demographic for this game.
I don't see the logic in trying to alter the game to be what you want, rather than just accepting that it might not be a game for you and not play it.

This game is going to require that people adjust their thinking. Instead of acquiring the best cards and building the best deck, you have to make the best of the deck you have. You have to learn and adjust on the fly.
Will some decks be better than others? I'm sure, but I'd bet that the VAST majority of the decks are going to be somewhere in the middle and that tactics, skill and card knowledge will play way more of a factor than the cards in your deck.

netherspirit1982 got a reaction from sabrjay in What's the point in to buy a Core Set?
My reason for getting the core is the tokens.
I already have some nice acrylic tokens for myself, but thinking ahead I'd like to also have some tokens to loan on event nights.
If someone is interested in joining an event they can get in for the price of a deck and borrow my extra tokens, I'd hate to turn someone away or tell them yeah you can play, just buy a starter for $40 so you have tokens. After that they can either buy the core set or get their own tokens if they decide they want to continue playing.

From what I've seen so far every house has some great cards and combos.
My favorites are Shadows, Dis, Logos and Untamed so far. I'll be looking for decks with any combination of those 4.

There is no arguing one way or the other. That's the rules.
Now if FFG feels that's not what they intended or something is too strong and decide to the change rules that's a different story.
But rules as written, there's no argument.

There isn't health in this game. Only power.
A creature dies when it has damage on it equal to or greater than it's power. So increasing it's power means it can take more damage.

For number 2, I'd say mostly no, but if you have an effect or ability that lets you use a creature off house, you could unstun it.

    Negative much?
I think this concept and game is going to require a shift in thinking. Every card game is the same, buy booster packs or specific cards to build the best deck you can, destroy opponents. That's not the case with this one and I think that's why a lot of people are only seeing the negative.
This is a paradigm shift and I for one am looking forward to seeing how it plays out, and I'm already thinking of ways to do leagues and other fun stuff with this new concept,

I've seen this a lot since the game was announced, probably the most out of all the complaints.
From what I've read and heard, the decks aren't actually completely random, there is a procedure to how the decks are built.
I'm anticipating more of a bell curve of power in the decks that get generating, meaning the vast majority will be in the middle of the curve. Learning how to play each particular deck to it's fullest. Learning all the tricks and synergies contained in it. This will lead to more skill and tactics winning games over what's actually in the decks. At least in my opinion.
There will of course be the outliers, really good and really bad decks, but I don't see 95% of the decks being garbage, that's a doom and gloom way of looking at things.

I think the potential for competitive play is there. I'm of the opinion that given the sheer number of decks and combinations that are available for them to create, that the power level of the decks will be on a bit of a bell curve with the vast majority of the decks being in the middle and relatively on a level playing field. Given that, it feels most games aren't going to come down to who has the better deck, but who knows how to play their deck the better to get the full advantage of it.
