  1.

I would guess you just discard the spell and when you've used the last one, shuffle, make new deck. There would be no reason to discard the spell back on top if you're just gonna draw the same card again.

    The correct sequence is:

    - discard the spell (wherever you want)

    - randomize the deck

    - draw a new spell from the randomized deck

this means that you can draw again the very same spell you just discarded

Ah, I see. I'll probably just make a discard pile and shuffle it up when it's necessary. Less fiddly, doesn't interrupt the pace of the game, and I'd be kind of bummed if I actually had the same exact effect again.

  2. Very psyched for this game and pre-ordered... But does anyone have any insight with how this app-driven experience may play out? How does Descent stack up to the idea with preserving story? 1E would give you a hint, like "burning smell from the kitchen" which really was a clue and thematically immersive. If the maps are randomly generated, will we get clues that encourage us where to explore? Or is MoM2E gonna end up just a dungeon crawler (enter here, these monsters spawn... Defeat them, one drops a key which may open a door to come or one you've already tried to open before...)?

After all, MoM1E was hardly combat-centric. Often times, the best idea was to run rather than stick around until the monster dies...

  3. I'm completely fine with the app being like Descent. I just wanted ambiance... I like the idea of us investigators taking our turns and only hitting the app when we explore a new room/keeper actions. Nice and streamlined. I do hope that the scenario setup asks us to take out specific map tiles, clues, items, etc. before the game starts... digging through all the components in the box would be a real disruption to the game.

  4. I also have a question... It looks like the conversion kit for investigators is a MoM SE-specific stat update (new investigator cards/items), but do the monster token inserts also change? I ask because I painted and glued my monsters to their base... and my monster token inserts were a PAIN to get in (and that's before my minis were glued in, so the glue is not a factor), it was so snug. I thought that was normal 'cause I never understood why you might want to take them out. But if I have to swap out the tokens to work with the Conversion Kit, I'm REALLY out of luck 'cause those tokens are NOT coming out. Ever. I'm sure glue leaked down through the mini's slot to permanently affix the token in the base. ಠ_ಠ

I'd ask FF about getting new bases, but my minis (fully painted and sealed) are already glued in anyway, so that's not really a possibility for me anyway. =(

  5. Can anyone tell me if the App will have extra features like ambient music, sound effects, voice overs (like reading the scenario prologue), etc? I like to pump some ambient music through my bluetooth speakers when I game to really enhance the gaming experience... and I think that'd be AWESOME to have as a part of the app.
