  1. Yes because we want to test him compared with the old overcosted uniques to see if the changes really put him above. The "real competitions" you said are for people who saddly enjoy using 4 probe droids with 4 officers or an horde of rebel saboteurs or stormies. I don't like this place... I'm just awaiting for this fixes, and when we could play with all the characters and lists without boring, hearthless and abusing combinations i'd jump into "real competitive" once more. If we want to play with anonimous guys we don't play a star wars game, don't you think? I'm here to crush rebel scum with vader or save the day with han solo. I think igg88 will gain a place in some armies even with 12 points and makes me happy haha don't care about pure competitive.
  2. I played an skirmish with scum and had igg88 with his new card to test him. Concretly i had igg, jabba, E weequay, greedo, vinto and R hired guns. We played two skirmish, in the first my friend went with empire (vader + guard + E sormies + officer+ zillo). Igg 88 smash vader in two rounds, taking back only 7 damage from him. Well, a 12 points figure against 18 points... we started to think that the card fix is a little awesome against other uniques. Then, to corroborate this, in the second skirmish my friend go with rebels (chewie+ han and other guys ). Igg 88 take down han and his pet in few rounds. Ok, we used overcosted old uniques to test the new igg 88 and he had some help from jabba. But i can say the skirmish upgrade "focused on the kill" can make a too overcosted character into a truly kill machine. If you can imagine this power with some HK assassins droids and new droid command cards... I really hope that the other uniques recieve their skirmish upgrade soon and these cards would be even more powerful than this "focused on the kill" in some cases. I cant wait to bring back to the table the actually weakest iconic characters! Did you tested the new Igg 88? what do you think about? do you think the nemesis deck is enough to fix villians in campaign? and what about han and chewie in the campaign?
  3. @Toburk well after a year, we can say that you were in the right way. We already have igg 88 skirmish upgrade and i expect that other uniques gain his own ASAP.
  4. I done this one few days ago after some feedback in a post. We tested it in skirmish and i can say its funny and not OP. The right way is in this direction but i can feel that need something more "special" to be Vader. If you finally work in some "fixing old uniques" posts, i can do the "fake cards" like this one to show in your web, only say to me
  5. I did some fixing tries in a recent post: When he uses force chocke, if the affected figure is small and with figure cost 9 or less, can push the figure up to 3 spaces. Then, a kind of terror aura that affect hostile figures with figure cost 9 or less that apply -1 evade. And an exhaust card ability to interrupt to move up to 2 space during his activation (in order to move between brutality attacks) I can't wait to see the official fix for vader!!
  6. The hired guns-jabba combo seems much funny ! Can't wait to use it against my friends. I'd love an article about vader in the actual meta, some combo ideas, command cards, lists... and with your personal thinks about how to fix it to be a truly competitive option. He is the most iconic sw character and i didn't see him since the first errata I think people like the "fixing uniques" thread so much and with the recent spoil of the ig88 card it is a hot theme.   7. I tested vader with assault and is that good but when you use his command card is a breaking game ! He can not do all the attack he wish because with his command card he can literally kill all of the enemy's army (with a little luck or with combos with force use cards + attacks). Definitively he can,t attack more than 2 times. I want him to be nice playable not breaking the game. By one point you have unshakable to be "inmune" to harmful. Perhaps he need more health cause everybody had 15 or 16 now for only 10-12 points.... PD.:Yeah i must correct the dark side

  9. Finally i decide to kick out "true cunning" and just improve his actual cunning. More health and improve his first shoot to all guys whose costs are lower than his cost. Chewie do more blast damage and 16 health.

  11. the answer is in all the things you said here. With some testing i can tell you, vader is awesome and worth his half army points.
  12. So han: A) cunning + an evade if roll blank B) lucky C) change true cunning for "gain +2 blocks for an evade". Here even with 2 evade (giving by 3po) his defence would 2 evade and 2 blocks, only improve at one evade. Chewie: A) surge: +1¤, blast 2¤ B) change the text for 2mp previous to slam. C) add some wookie rage like "if you recieve 5 or more ¤ gain +1¤ to your attacks" Thanks for replies
  13. What about something like the inquisitor "defensive"?. If han roll a blank, he gains a free evade (with his two blocks). His defense die: 1evade, 2 blocks (x2) 1 evade, 3 blocks (x2) 1 block 1 dodge I think this would be help a lot with his returned fire. In chewey : lose white dice and gain a built on block and evade, like boba fett. +2 health will be help to be a good tank. Perhaps lose his stun and gain another damage surge?
  14. I'm sure they don't want to add "deadly" to vader cause they already did the "deadly precision" command card but would be nice. I dont feel reach would be thematically for vader but sure it helps a lot.
  15. True cunning help han a lot against cheap troopers with a 3-4 maximun damage. The exhaust effect i think is really easy to counter if the enemy uses his higer cost figures (boba, ig88, inquisitor, cap. Terro, bantha...) to attack han but really prevent him to cheap trooper attacks. I don't know if increase his radious to "...targeting to you or and adjacent friendly figure" or "when a hostile figure with a figure cost lower than yours..." will be ok. Chewey still needed something but we don't know what is... So any ideas?

Hello guys, I'm doing some skirmish upgrades for iconic characters that are overcosted. obviously home playing, but i like to share and give some feedback, like in the vader one. han's upgrade is based on a preview of his card previos to the launch of game. The chewie one is about his useless "slam", i tried to improve it allowing move before.
  17. Let's go to put all the ideas. I would like you to choose wich 3 abilities of the list to include in the Vader's home fix: A-Sith March: Whenever Darth Vader defeats a figure, gain 1 movement point B-Special Action: Force Shove. Choose a small figure within 3 spaces. Push that figure 2 spaces. That figure takes 1 points of damage. C-Chosen One: When a card or ability chooses one or more of your dice to reroll, you may choose whether to reroll them D-After use force choke, you can move the affected figure up to 3 spaces. E-Echaust this card during your activation to gain 2 movement points F-All hostile figures with a deployment cost of 6 or less within 3 spaces become weakened G-All hostile figures with a deployment cost of 6 or less within 3 spaces become stunned H- All hostile figures with a deployment cost of 6 or less within 3 spaces must spend two actions to perform a movement.   19. Sadly, there isn't any card face down. If you see the picture there are only three cards (BT-1, 0-0-0 and a skirmish upgrade). It seems like not will be vader changes in a few months so i'm doing that home made card to play with my friends.
  20. But IG 88 cost 12 and vader 18. Too hard to do an optional version and made both playable, since the actual one is high overcosted! A half of your army must feeling like just as sound. Do You mean that the official fix would be a cost reduction via errata and another skirmish attachment like the igg88's? It's possible...
  21. Pherhaps "lose brutality. Gain powerfull advance (special action): gain 2 movement points and perform 2 attacks." What do you think about force choke pull ? He can choke and move a figure, then attack him, move 2 and attack another guy. Or move out the choked man, advance and attack another 2. Anybody said "rogue one"?

  24. Sounds interesting... Something that reduce the defense or attack of hostile figures within 3 spaces? Maybe? And what about adding 2 mov points to his actual force choke? It's really hard doing a good vader.
  25. And i'm trying that this half list worth. I think that the official fix wouldn't be a cost reduction. The way will be the same as IG88. You can put vader in 13 or 14 points but even with this he doesn't feel like in the movies or comics... Need more power i think hahaha
