- Cost: 0 - Move up to 5 spaces
- Cost: 2 - Move up to 5 spaces. When you enter a space containing a figure, that figure suffers 1 STRAIN and gains 1 DMG POWER TOKEN.
There will be a command card that allow you to move 5 spaces or similar "force jump", so i think the emperor unique command card must be something more special.

This one took a long time to edit and I'm experimenting with the new "zoom on the action" effect so I'd love to know if you like it or not. Your feedback helps me keep improving these videos.
Thanks for watching.
I always forget the inspirational luke too haha...
Vader forget his new attack reroll, and in the minute 45:00 when han uses "steal tactics" he rolls 2 evades, that means 2 blocks cause his "cunning". Poor Han he was cheated haha
i enjoyed the match and the imperial leia.

Really good job. Community need this kind of list. I would love another one based on the command cards, as it is a big part of skirmish games.

As a free action I thought it was way too powerful, even for 13-point cost Boba. Dishing out that kind of unavoidable damage and strain nearly every round really stacks up.
As a special action, the Flamethrower basically ensured Boba would favor it over actually attacking. (Even improving his Battle Discipline options didn't make a regular attack more viable than Weakening targets for the Weequays.) Giving Boba additional movement points on activation seemed silly for a figure with a Speed of 6.
I also previously tinkered with removing Battle Discipline completely and replacing it with a Special Action weaker version of Flamethrower, a Special Action missle attack w/ Blast that could not be used closer than 4 spaces away from Boba, and a Special Action whip attack that negated all damage to do Stun & Weaken.
You can't remove battle discipline cause his command cards is built in.
I think the better way is improve battle discipline with some blast and damage. Perhaps need a built in damage losing another one, like weaken.
Adding a special action flamethrower that allow him to gain 3 movement points and cause damage all in the same action. You have action economy and good damage per attack. He can move 3, cause 1 or 2 damage and then attack with better surges.
I think free flamethrower isn't op for a 13 point figure. We have vader with his free chocke that causes more damage without range limitations.

Perhaps he was... Until he is an old man with a friedface.
Like the idea of improve or change him with a command.

So...Vader, Han, Boba?
However it would be reasonable to have only Empire's cards as, you know, it is called Heart of the Empire after all...

If only have Empire`'s cards would be a little disgusting since the mercs have one fix, empire will had and rebels won't see nothing until the nex wave
chewie and han (chewie mostly) are currentry too overcosted, can't wait 2 waves to use this iconic heroes

How do you think this card will be?
My thoughs are the card improves his "emperor" rule. Perhaps extending the radious to "choose another figure in the game" instead in 4 spaces and adding some extra attack bonus (a surge or damage).
Another option i though is allowing him to choose more than 1 figure.
The no restriction about friendly and hostile figure here makes me think that the command card can use this, perhaps gaining points while attacking one of your guys with an enemy model.
Come on let's speculate!

Even if you have Gideon to focus and move him, you're moving 10 squares and hitting the guy 12 squares from where you started. On Jabba's Palace, this is feasible. On any other map, however, you've got doors in the way, which probably won't be opened if the opponent sees what you're trying to do.
yeah, really sounds too recherche... too many points to do one possible attack

QuoteFirst Strike (Tier IV)
Spend 2 points to give you AND your opponent 4 VP? Why? You could buy a Jawa with those 2 VP, or a whole manner of other, better upgrades. Maybe one day there will be a more appropriate reason to start off with some points; perhaps you're playing many ways to score points, and just want to be 4 closer? Maybe one day, but not today.Perhaps you want to do this in order to use " order hit" with jabba at the very first turns of the match... it seems too risky but perhaps.

The igg 88 fix looks very similar too (in mechanics)
The guy is in this forum, named cnemmick. I also like the idea of improve the command card "lord of the sith" that is a little overcosted by the bonus actually gives to vader, more since he can't brutality to gain 2 actions per 1.

Hi guys!
What is the differemce between a regular attachment and an elite one? I mean cards like "feeding frenzy" or "cross training".
Another question about elites: i saw in the rulebook that some game effect that only affect regular cards don't take effect on elite cards but... can you tell me some of this effects in an example?
Thanks!

@Theaficionado really enjoy your review! Can't wait for the part II.
I'm too excited about driven by hatred and the other 2 upgrades in heart of the empire.. What do you think about the other 2 upgrades? Han and chewie? Han and boba? Han-chewie together and boba?¿ not boba hahaha can't wait

I'd like to give the new units some time to settle into the meta before I post another one. It's hard to tell exactly how strong everything is until people have had time to learn how the units interact with different figures. If I had to guess right now:
Top Tier:
BT-1
Hera
Viable:
eJawa
rJawa
Chopper
Not Great:
0-0-0
But I haven't seen these units enough to know yet.in wich tier do you put vader with Driven by Hatred?
-
I just read some rumours about heart of empire skirmish upgrade. One of the three we know is vader fix, some people says other would be a han and chewie fix together, with negative value, and adding some scum to rebel list.
What do you thinking about? I don't know if i prefer a han fix and a chewie fix alone... Perhaps is only a fake rumour
-
I think the new cards like force jump will be a must in this type of list. I put unshakable cause if people centre his effort in stun vader you lose an important part of the list.
Coming again to "SET A TRAP", what would be the order to play it with driven by hatred? First 2 spaces + attack or chocke and then the other attack for the trap??
-
I need some help, but i want a list like this one...but all effective as possible! What command cards you put here?
DEPLOYMENT
Darth Vader 18 + Driven by Hatred -5
Palpatine 8
2x officers 4
eRoyal Guard 12
Zillo 1
Unshakable 1
advanced com system 1
COMMAND
Lord of the sith 3
Force lighting 3
Parting bow 2
Advance warning 0
Element of surprise 0
To the limit 0
Field tactician 1
Fleet footed 0
Force rush 0
Force surge 2
Grisly contest 2
Looking for a fight 0
Negation 1
Reposition 1
Take initiative 0
Obviously i don't see the emperor command card yet, but "parting bow" can get out if the emperor command likes me (or even lord of the sith). I don't know if "SET A TRAP" will be a good adition cause in a round, Vader could attack, chocke, move 2 and attack 2 if you use set a trap and officers correctly (well, he could attack another time if you use the emperor). What do you think?

Trusted Ally is Neutral skirmish upgrade.
• Droid only
Exhaust this card when another friendly figure within 3 spaces is attacking. It may reroll 1 attack die.
Exhaust this card during your activation. An adjacent friendly figure recovers 1Damage or discard 1 Harmful condition.
So... if i go with vader (driven by hatred) and one of his best friends with this upgrade (bt, 000, probedroid...) he can reroll two attack dies, recover 1 each round or make him no worried about stuns. Like it.

1 hour ago, cnemmick said:Yup, that's my thread and my suggested fixes. I was close on both the IG-88 and Vader fixes!
My doc is focused on making overpriced figures worth their current cost. So there's no negative deployment costs to the skirmish upgrade cards and LOTS of additional abilities for each. It's still a working draft, and I'd appreciate y'all's feedback. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tSo0jH4u_q1OZitrGSj_m_IH-rGe1gieuVCjngVdgMk/edit?usp=sharing
I've recently completed another round of playtesting and have some interesting Han/Chewie changes coming. I take another stab at Royal Guard Champion, though admittedly I might not have the best feel for that figure. I'll update the document with my new changes soon.
Oh yes was you! i saw this some time ago and when finally FFG spoiled Vader upgrade, i remember your list, cause the close you was in the changes.
I can't wait to see your new chewie and han changes, if you was close in the two previous, perhaps we must pay attention!

EDIT: What do you think about vader upgrade? and the IGG 88?

35 minutes ago, a1bert said:Skirmish upgrades do not affect the figure cost, they are just scored when the last figure of the group is defeated. (Unless FFG specifies something else for negative skirmish upgrade cards.)
perhaps only affect his points when he is defeated, reducing 5 to the total... but FFG must specifies this case cause there aren't other examples in the game until this one.
QuoteIs there any limit to the number of skirmish upgrades a figure can have? I thought there was but now I can't find that rule, so I was probably making that rule up.
-ryanjamal
Yes , only one attachmnent per figure or group. So Vader can't use another attachment. For lucky, Zillo and unshakable aren't attachments

8 hours ago, ThatJakeGuy said:I think once Vader re-enters the meta Stun will once again become a major factor.
yeah, but there are a lot of ways to fight with. Unshakable, command cards, zillo (reducing pierce and damage can negate the harmful)... And in the worst case that he finally get stunned, he can force choke.
I don't know if "motivation" can be used against Vader now. If his figure cost is 13 cause the upgrade -5, potentially the RGC or Weiss can use this upgrade.
Other thing has me worried is the command card "lord of the sith", this card isn't too usefull now (except if you combo with a lot of force user command card) but with the upgrade vader loses brutality (-1 potential action) and he can already do all in one round, he doesn't need this card
any thoughts??
