  1. The vibe I got was that it’s all a matter of image. Bo has been set up as leader twice before, and lost it both times. Receiving the Darksaber from Sabine was fine before as she still had support. This time around, not only did she lose Mandalor, she lost the Dark Saber itself. (We still don’t know exactly how it went from her to Gideon, so the manner that happened could cast more shame/dishonor on her. We’ll have to see.) So this time in trying to lay claim to the throne, Bo might not be able to gain support if she is given the role again. She has to earn it. She has to take it. And maybe it’s not just other Mandalorians she needs to win back respect from. Maybe she needs to take back her right to rule the “right way” for herself as well. This is all supposition. We’ll have to see how the writers develop this going forward. But that’s what I got from the situation.
  2. A) Perhaps limited, but still free to do what it needs to to further her story and those she is already associated with. B) Ahsoka can still have a role to play in that tie up, or her own show couldn’t lay ground work to be continued later. Conjecture, sure. But I feel Ahsoka is tied into Ezra’s story enough that her dying to serve a different story feels odd. Not impossible, but still odd. C) What we know so far is that he took part in the Great Purge of Mandalorians, and he has the Dark Saber, which was last in Bo’s possession. While I suspect more, those two things we know for certain is enough for Bo to want Gideon dead. Ahsoka’s death by Gideon’s hand I don’t think really increases or decreases Bo’s motivation to kill him. Ahsoka and BoKatan aren’t that close, from what I’ve seen.
  3. Considering her ties to the still (somewhat) missing Thrawn and Ezra, I’m not sure it does anything for the overall perspective besides shock value. Her dying to Gideon might have worked (though would need to be handled carefully, considering the heavies she’s survived), but I don’t think it would have affected BoKatan that heavily. Bo already has plenty of reasons to hate Gideon, and the death of an ally wouldn’t necessarily push her over the edge. She can be brash, but always had control of herself. All in all, I feel there’s enough to discuss in the what-ifs to get us to your end point of killing Ahsoka that starting there feels like a big leap.
  4. To build off of this, I have several times gotten into a rut in how I build a ship. “It’s got to have X, Y, and Q.” But it never feels right. So, I go see what other people are doing with the ship. And look! Some guy halfway across the world is having fun with the same ship, but he’s using upgrades I didn’t even consider. Now I have something new to try, breaking me out of my rut and opening my mind to more possibilities. That, to me, is one of the best aspects of being connected online. Being able to get input and ideas from people you would probably never meet otherwise. And for those who think that is unhealthy, I am really sorry for you.
  5. I’ve gotten the ammo increase versus AI. While I’m not sure this is the best choice out there, going after a Raider with 80 unguided rockets feels amazing. Previously I had expressed concerns about how the B-Wing would fly. Having a few games under my belt, I’m happy to say those concerns were largely addressed. It flys like a brick, but the way they implemented the gyro means I feel I have a lot of options for avoiding clipping obstacles and other ships. All in all, I will be happily making attack runs on imperial capital ships in this beefy boy.
  6. And I think that is part of the problem we see here. People had different expectations of what Hyperspace was suppose to do. While a prefer what you are suggesting, I figured something like this would happen sooner or later. And we might even see something like this happening again, but that depends on AMG now.
  7. While my point also applies to balance, the decision making tree of list building was also not a guaranteed thing. Assumptions were made about how the rotations would go. Now we have a season where some of those assumptions kinda go out the window. I agree that Empire feels a bit...pigeon holed this time around and hopefully we won’t have something quite this egregious again, but we don’t know. That has always been my concern with the format.
  8. Which, again, was always the danger of Hyperspace. It was highly unlikely that we were gonna get a winner from everyone’s perspective each rotation.
  9. And that was always the danger with Hyperspace. A rotation system means there can be seasons where you don’t like the options available. That’s just the nature of the format. Maybe next season will be more to your liking, as this one might be more to another player’s liking.
  10. It seems like the mods he usually takes are defensive in nature, like Hull Upgrade or Stealth Device. Stacking them could be worthwhile, but expensive. With Bombs being a part of Boba’s arsenal, using the extra mod slot for Fuses doesn’t feel too bad. You still get something like Hull Upgrade for added beef while also adding some bomb flexibility for cheap.
  11. There are several assertions in here that are rather hyperbolic. No, Hyperspace is not the only option for a fun game. It might be your preferred method (more power to you), but it is definitely not the only option. The “only person who likes generics” also seems to be more venting than a concrete fact. There’s also the debate whether Hyperspace even is the “new player” option. It stopped being that even before the rotation version of the format was introduced when it introduced non-reprinted ships into the format.
  12. Considering the “other way around” got X-Wing to one of the top slots in the Miniature market, it is actually a fair point to bring up. And if you would like to re-read my post, I addressed it being a small amount. It does still prove that your claim that “epic was forgotten” is hyperbolic at best. I get it. You (and others) wish epic was supported more. No complaint there. It’s when you start exaggerating your points that there is a problem.
  13. This is rather misinformed conclusion. You are aware that the ETA-2 is coming with the Hyperspace Ring (an upgrade not legal in standard) and a new Command card, right? This might not be as much as desired, but it shows that not only is Epic not forgotten, but that FFG was looking at more ways to release Epic content (and maybe AMG will continue with this).
  14. @GuacCousteau There is also the concern (at least for me) of how being so far from the center of mass is the ship is going to affect flying. Quite a few of the maps have various obstacles such as debris, asteroids, and flying through a tight shipyard to contend with. Considering I’ve found myself caught on obstacles because I misjudged how wide my U-Wing’s wing span is, I fear the B-Wing might be a bit awkward to fly. Now, I had similar fears about the TIE Bomber before launch, and those provided to be largely unfounded. The B-Wing could be the same. We’ll see when it drops.
  15. Very happy to see the B-Wing and Defender make it into the game. Still kind of nervous about how flying a B-Wing from inside the cockpit is gonna be like, but overall excited.
  16. I thought along the same lines, but wasn’t sure it had enough of a hook to really work for thematic reasons. There could be a worry that they’d end up feeling like Cerberus again, but it could be dispelled. In the canon breaking column, I though about the Thorian. You have hive mind colonists with a very “tool turned weapon” vibe to their gear, the creepers, and have the kind of “mini-boss” units be the green asari clones. Throw in some more plant and spore/toxin based shenanigans, and you might have an interesting new faction. Might end up with identity issues too, but I feel there could be potential.
  17. Huh. I don’t recall this happening. I imported my Shepard’s face just fine. Though, I didn’t do that at launch. Tighter budget in those days. But I would definitely be for a general lack of bugs like that.
  18. Three other tweeks I would like to see (though ultimately just icing): 1) In ME3, they introduced a preset Female Shepard to go along with the preset Male Shepard. If they could stick that face in as an option in the first two games as well, I think that would be nice. I’m still probably not going to use the preset faces, but there is a completeness factor that would be nice to address. 2) Similar to the first point, in ME3 you could import and edit your Shepard’s appearance, while for ME2, you could only import. Taking that ability back to ME2 would be fun. Example; for the first two games, my Shepard sported a high and tight hair style with some five-o-clock shadow. For ME3, he shaved his head and I think I chose a fuller beard option. Being able to make such adjustments in between all three games would be fun. 3) This is more pipe dream territory, but some extra content for the multiplayer would be cool. Another pack or two of characters, weapons, and maybe a map or two would be golden. There may be some grounds for an additional enemy faction, but the best I can come up with either don’t seem to have enough of a hook, or would be potentially canon breaking (if you are worried about that).
  19. Agreed. Spent a ton of time both by myself and with friends playing ME3’s multiplayer. Bringing the whole series up to that level would be very agreeable to me. But... There is something to be said for preserving the way a game was. And while I preferred the combat of future installments, I can see people preferring the more RPG styling of the first game.
  20. Was actually a little sad they said it wasn’t a full remake for ME1. I was really hoping they’d go back and upgrade the combat system. It felt kinda janky when I first played it, and the improvements they applied to the other two games makes it feel worse. Maybe “targeted enhancements” could still spark hope for a combat overhaul? Anyway, even if ME1’s combat is untouched, I’m looking forward to the Legendary Collection. A new play through of the trilogy with all the fixings will be delightful.
  21. @GuacCousteau Conceptually, I think I would be ok with new alternate packs for existing ships. It would basically be a mini ace pack, in my mind. Put some good cards and an alt paint job, and you have my interest. To add on to this question, how would people feel if we got one of these alternate packs before a rerelease pack? We don’t have a 2.0 Resistance Falcon. Would it be okay to release an alt pack based on Rise of Skywalker, with a new dish, Poe and Lando as pilots, and some new upgrades?
  22. Considering FFG fixed this before with card packs, I feel confident that this can be remedied the same way. While the speed with which such card packs are made available might need to be increased to better facilitate that promise, I do not feel that you have to be out of faction to get those cards.
  23. Yeah. Even as a RZ-2 fan, that pricing doesn’t sit well with me. Hopefully we’ll see some sort of variable pricing structure for different chassis down the line for this.
