    Vinto  Hreeda:
Vinto is the first up from Jabba (coz he looks so cool!). Figured I had painted enough dusty/brown coats on the rebels, so thought I'd give Vinto a bit more style, with a black coat/brass armour combo (a scheme which I decided he would carry over to his trusty blasters). Great to paint, really enjoying highlight blue lately ha! and pretty pleased how his skin tones came out (just Moot green with a camo wash and some subtle highlighting). Not sure if another hero or the jet troopers are up next, but I've also got a few awesome hasslefree minis in the mix distracting me from the IA queue.

    - Started some very early workings on a large scale IA/Armada campaign for my group. One has been bugging me for a while about how cool it would be and despite the hard work it will involve, I'm inclined to agree. So have started drafting out some initial ship and on foot missions (as well as the layout of their home ship using IA tiles and photoshop.
    - I reshot a better pic of Hera (using my workplace's pimp Canon EOS750) will get her(a) up soon :)... couldn't resist the pun

    - I've dusted off my instagram after 3/4 years of non use, as I actually have stuff to share on it with all the painting I'm doing these days. I've started posting WIP pics and will be putting up my Hasslefree stuff on there as well. (www.instagram.com/54nch32)

    - Apologies for the IA painting delay, the aforementioned Hasslefree minis have taken up a fair chunk of paint time. Just completed this Ash from Evil Dead for my desk at work (I know, not IA related, but here's the evidence that I've been busy ;)...

    Maul:
He's done! He's been sat primed since October taunting me haha. Again, great sculpt, nice and open, and once the jump into freehanding him was made, quite a fun one to paint. The most freehand I've ever done on something, really happy to have him finished (Pretty sure I said "f**k yeah!" after I finished the face tattoos.

    One to go! (AT-DP)

    - Primed the AT-DP the other day, left him unglued to ease painting, but accidentally dropped it as I was about to prime him, resulting in a shattered chin gun. I picked up some new tools lately, including a pin vice and some tiny drill bits, so I'm gonna rebuild it with some spare bits and wire.

    - Also decided to add some more highlights to the Grand Inquisitor while I waiting for Mauls Ink wash to dry.

    Clawdite Shapeshifters:
Decided not to paint up the spare, originally planned to do something simple (grey with flash of colour) for these guys and knock them out quick, but ended up going for the full colour schemes on each, and spent some time highlighting them (couldn't leave those coats with no highlight). Also used a heated pin to create some blaster barrel holes.

So Amsterdam was awesome! ha. Even managed to pop over to nearby Utrecht for the Star Wars Identities exhibit. Very cool.

Gathered the group for some gaming tonight, but one can't make it for the campaign, so we're finally gonna try the app this eve, thought I'd get crafty with some balsa and make a pad stand for the app...

Also did a bit of painting last night, (although *hangs head in shame* not IA related) finally finished off a Colonial Marine I started months ago! just thought I'd share here (I even did some eyes on it!!!!)...

In the queue, I've got Ko-Tun plus the Jabba heroes primed and ready to go and got some base coloured Tau gun drones to finish off (for droid / NPC stands in etc).

    Drokkatta:
Another fun one, and hella quick compared to Ahsoka! Decided to go for a darker wookiee fur base this time, and dry brushed up to zandri dust. Decided to add a casing colour to the grenade launcher, plus some metal scratches here and there on the armour pieces and launcher. Mixed up a dark green glaze for the googles, and spent some time pin washing the lines to create better definition in places (especially on the leg pouches where some of the mould lines were a bit shallow and didn't take enough of the camo shade), found my flow highlighting the pouches, and again the mag glasses really helped immensely. Really pleased with this one. Ko-Tun up next.

    - Still anxiously awaiting my modern adventurer minis, looks like hasslefree have had a busy one, plus i'm away to Amsterdam for a few days, so a nice present to myself to look forward to when i get back

Managed to finish off Drokkatta over the weekend. Went with a darker wookie fur this time. Will try and get a proper pic up soon.

    - Also ordered a bunch of "Modern Adventurers" from Hasslefree Minis. Stumbled onto some great minis of a few of my favourite geek characters. Can't wait to paint them.
    - Off to Amsterdam this weekend with an old buddy of mine, so looking forward to getting out of the UK for a few days
    - Also mulling over the idea of stripping some of the core heros down and repainting them. I looked through the other day, and really want to give them another go!

    Ahsoka Tano:
I almost most pushed her to the back of the queue again to do something easier, but this week I finally got round to tackling the ex-padawan. A wee bit fiddly, but very rewarding to paint, and as mentioned, the magnification glasses I bought, helped massively when it came to the freehanding. My hand can shake occasionally, so they really helped me get a level of detail I didn't think I was capable of (and the directional light/torch on the end, really helps painting during the evening - where my main light source is behind me). Looking forward to painting Maul, but for now `I'm thinking Drokkatta is up next.

    - I just may have used about ALL of my paints at some point while painting her! (Including mixes etc)
    - Just thought I'd give a shout out to Steve the Unknown Trooper who I bought at a carboot sale years ago, he's had the dubious honour of being a paint / shade / technique guinea pig thought a lot of my paint ups. *salute*

    Hera Syndulla:
Poor Hera sat unpainted a long time, so thought I'd finish her off. The wash on her trousers went a bit too dark, so I ended up spending a fair while trying to bring back the orange's brightness, but was overall really pleased how they came out (after being quite disappointed after the wash stage). The new brushes are feeling a lot nicer to use, holding their point very well so far. And yes! I did some eyes! haha.

    - Defo think I need to invest in a decent camera (been using my iphone, so I'm at the mercy of natural light most of the time).

    - Decided to reactivate my instragram (after about 4 years!), where I thought I'd share my pics along with more WIP photos etc, attached to them. www.instagram.com/54nch32
    - I also noticed after washing I had painted the bottom of her trouser brown by mistake! Ah well

Since I watched the REBELS series finale tuesday last week, I'm busy sculpting Ahsoka as she appeared in the epilogue, just for the fun of it. This takes time, since I'm sculpting in layers onto the re-posed mini of her we got for Imperial Assault. I still got a bit of sculpting to do as well as scratch-building her staff, but the figure is taking shape and looking good so far:

Little update, Rancor is done. Didn't take me as long as I thought it would, he is actually a pretty easy and fun figure to paint. As always the finishing details are the biggest time sink, for instance the teeth did not go as planned and are much to sharp of a contrast, but it is what it is, overall I am happy with how it turned out.
The E6000 for drool worked great it is a little more thin and less user friendly, but the effect was still right, so keep that in mind for us North Americans.
The base was super fun to work on, I had a blast and took my time with it. The water on the back side turned out great, the front is a bit off though. Something happened when I did the Nurgling Green glaze, I think maybe the water wasn't quite totally dry yet as it turned out a little funny and blocky looking. I tried to wipe it off but it was to late it instantly dried so I just left it for fear of making it worse. From table top it looks good, up close it is noticeable though. Once again big thanks to @Sorastro for walking me through it with his great tutorials: https://www.patreon.com/Sorastros
I really need to start my own thread I've painted quite a few figures now and haven't shown them all off yet. I also need to get better at taking pictures .. but anywhere here is the:

    Bossk:
Picked this guy up a few weeks ago (had to make a £20 order, so grabbed him to make the total), but a fun one to paint, the yellow wash was very satisfying ha!, and took my time trying to pin wash his straps. Made him a bit greener than usual, as I wanted a real contrast to the yellow jump suit. Picked up Jabbas Realm recently, so may run him and the Grand Inquisitor in a Nemesis deck.

    - - - - - - - -

    - Currently working on Jarrod today. More fun with some bright lush oranges on his sash.
    - Picked some of these up this week, only £14, but worth every penny so far...

I've been productive in the past few weeks, so I'd like to share what minis I've finished since my Malachor-Vader:

I also got myself a new Hera and painted her to the level I paint my IA-minis since the first three members of Team 'Fulcrum':

So, I finally decided to strip the paint from my Vader and modify him so that he now has the battle damage inflicted by Ahsoka on Malachor revealing Anakin's right eye. I did this by drillig out the right eye lens of Vader's mask, using a pointed sharp hobbyknife to carefully cut out the remains of the eye lens and create the vertical cut of Ahsoka's blade across the brow of the helmet and the cheek of the mask. Then, I 'sculpted' Anakin's eyebrow and eye into the opening using a very fine brush and liquid GreenStuff.
When this was done, I gave Vader a new paint job in the style of the other minis I've painted so far - with the glints and reflections all painted instead of using gloss varnish. This merits of this method are especially apparent with Vader, because you have absolute control over how light interacts with the silky and glossy elements of the character:

This Vader now goes very well with my Ahsoka!

Thanks, @Cpt Barbarossa! I have no experience doing videos, and good tutorial videos require a good production value and a lot of time to make - and I'd rather spend time painting than looking into and then committing to making videos. But I appreciate your comment.
This week I've painted Bossk, who will now join my gallery of bounty hunters for Imperial Assault:

I had time to paint a few more minis since I posted Obi-Wan. First, an Alliance Smuggler takes Drokkatta's place and now completes my new incarnation of Team Fulcrum together with Hera:

Next I also finally painted two Jet Troopers who reinforce my Team Palpatine:

Next I will propably paint 0-0-0... we'll see.

Davith Elso is a Force user with a knack for stealthy operations.

Davith Elso is joined in his covert espionage missions by Murne Rin, an Ithorian intelligence master.
Though her outward role is that of a diplomat, Murne Rin is a useful asset for any mission, as your Imperial foes will soon discover.
Both heroes are from the Bespin Gambit expansion.
While Murne is painted as shown in the IA artwork, Davith is painted in the colours Anakin showed in the animated Clone wars series.
I also gave him an alternative light sabre.
