As a player, I’d say go for the dark Jedi, since that’s the mission. As a character, Ge’tal would go for the glory of killing the rancor.

Cade grunts in amusement as he leans into the door and pushes.
For a brief moment, the door begins to open, the only sound comes from between Cade's clenched teeth. See, no prob-- ggrrrrrinnnnned....the door scrapes across the floor. Aw, osik.....
Kara winces as the light from the glow rod illuminates a giant eye snap open, the iris contracting as it reacts to the bright light. Kara slowly leans over and gently pushes Ge'tal towards the waking Rancor. All yours, vod'ika... she whispers

Respectfully, I disagree with making characters talk being against player agency because it was presumably their decisions that lead to that point. If they fail a social check, their character is obligated to provide useful information as would be expected from an NPC. Don’t want to tell anyone anything? Give your character a high willpower and pressence and ranks indiscipline and cool, or have the character be an exceptional liar. Otherwise? You can either choose what your character says or the GM will. The wellspring of information must be a two way street as the player is *not* their character, just merely their actor.

that being said, my GM runs very few torture scenes for a couple of reasons. It’s not particularly interesting unless it’s to introduce the antagonist personally, and no one likes feeling weak at the table. Actions do have consequences but that doesn’t mean a blow by blow commentary. Sometimes a mean looking ball droid rolling in with a needle and a cutaway is tasteful enough, while building tension.

Re: First time we got captured by an inquisitor, they were dropped off at prison/ research facility. The droid companion was irreparably scrambled (PC retirement) the second had an eye removed, but the Gand had it the worst. You see, the Empire found Gand particularly exceptional pilots when stripped down to their bare essentials, so by the time we had fought our way into the R&D department, they had removed his arm, an eye and cut a square wedge into the back of his head to install an nurval interphase directly into his brain. He, also incidentally; had a spy cam and a bomb wired up to his brain that we only found out months later and had inadvertently acted as a spy to the Empire.

Not a single part of this interrogation was role played. The party was literally finding out about this as we went along, with the exception of one player who wanted a new character anyway, so the GM got to introduce this big bad antagonist, was this scientist who was physically incapable of doing anything to the PCs but was capable of inventing massive projects of genetic alteration, bio-weapons and much more. We loathed him based on what he could justify doing in the service of the Empire based on our interrogation of him, and his ultimate escape via double agent. It was awesome.

    so a couple suggestions:

players don’t vibe with interrogation? Don’t do it. Give them some NPC characters and get them to rescue themselves, very exciting, but don’t tell them what has happened to their person until they find them. But do roll the interrogation anyway to determine how well they do in the hot seat offscreen; the results determine what the nemesis learnt of them. Honestly a die roll behind the GM screen should be ample to build tension and in this case, removal of player agency is thematically appropriate to build tension.

make it a social challenge. First to three success/fail wins. do this across the team so every character might employ their skill set across the party. If they fail? The nemesis learns everything, succeed and they keep their secrets. Dispairs meanwhile means that the nemesis might learn tadbits through inference; while they might not be able to immediately act on it, it too build dramatic tension. A race against time.

The entire dilemma is a matter of gameplay being an unrealistic representation of what really happens.
You fire a turbolaser at a Star Destroyer, it doesn't get through the armour, therefore it does absolutely nothing at all.
Except armour isn't a number on a statblock, it's a physical part of that Star Destroyer that can be damaged and destroyed, and "nothing" here means "merely damaged the armour a bit".
And if one turbolaser does "absolutely nothing at all", then two dozen will also do absolutely nothing at all", because that's just basic math. Except when one turbolaser merely means some damage to the armour, two dozen turbolasers mean "Boom, no more Star Destroyer" if you can keep the barrage up long enough.

When making a check for Initiative, a Shistavanen may make a Survival check instead of a Discipline* or Cool check. *book says Discipline, but it probably means Vigilance
    Just figured I'd try..

Yes. This has been clarified by the devs in the past. The “Force Leap” Control upgrades change how Enhance works, super ceding the base power.

The thing about Enhance is that the basic power isn't actually a Force power check, it just allows you to add Force dice to certain skills.
Most, if not all, of the other powers have an actual Force power that it takes a check to activate. In a way, the basic Force Leap control upgrade makes more sense as the basic Enhance power because it is an actual Force power you have to trigger.

To a point, yes, but that is offset by the added weight of their gear. Back when I was in the Army, we had to do ruck marches, some of them up to ten kilometers (a little over six miles), wearing a minimum of forty pounds of weight in our ruck sacks, as well as full combat gear. That slowed us down considerably.

The thing is that a round equals one minute of combat in this game. Reflect is just as good in the movies. Put together a squad of five or six storm troopers and fire on a single force user with 4 in soak and 4 in reflect. How long does it take those storm troopers to kill them? Quite a few turns and note that is five-six focusing fire a single target for several minutes straight. Most instances in the movies where they deflect blasters and retaliate or run away is a single round.

Kara gives Ge'tal a side look behind the visor, Hopefully it won't kill you vod'ika... she thinks as she leads the group towards the pyramid. The structure predictably is seemingly protected from scans, which is unsurprising if it truly is made by Darksiders. Their scans do show a group of individuals near the structure, just outside a cluster of small shack like buildings.
Every one be ready.. we have a crowd outside the pyramid... and surprise, scans can't penetrate the pyramid. She told them.
Falmok grumbled, Hate Sith.. stupid hidden secrets....
Cade rolled his head, cracking his neck. Let's be sure to blow it up on our way out....

Thirty minutes would make it about a mile and a half, given an average adult human walking speed of  3mph.
