  1. I feel that the current scoring method works well, as we currently have binary examples of armada in elimination cut gameplay. A large majority of these games end up being 5 turns of circling and a last minute squadron skirmish to try and pip some small number of points. I have found in my own experience very few examples of complete running for 6 turns.

    What's in a move

Hey all, just wanted to check. Is there a difference between "perform a move" and "perform a speed-x move?" Looking at interactions between anything that can move a unit like Leia's command card, recon Intel, force push etc and anything that chains off those eg. Relentless/charge/steady, tactical, ram etc. Is there ever a time when you can be moved and be unable to trigger post move actions. TIA

    Bullseye Talents

Crackshot: a nice to have occasional damage pusher. either res A wings or TIE fighters. if only 50% of my crackshot goes off a game, I'm still happy with that. Predator: High INI who are already trying to get bullseye, Soontir, HLC Poe, etc. people who will have bullseye more than once reliably Marksmanship: I don't

  7. Hey Thraug Yeah we run the Armada podcast Renegade Fleet Command. We wanted to branch out and cover some legion stuff but didn't want to put out in the Armada podcast, so instead we decided to run a second podcast from our current setup. That way you can choose to listen to the content that interests you. RFC will always remain as Armada content primarily and High Ground will be our legion content. Hope this helps Scott

  10. I've tried using it during a 200 pt fleet patrol on a mc75 ord cruiser with OE Expanded launchers and WAB. It was mainly to deter people wanting to use squad heavy however it can be potent when double arcing something and CF commanding. Lived the dream twice in 3 rounds. Used 3 splash then 2 splash to kill an untouched goz. And used the 3 splash to remove howl before the squad war started (matchup was 2 xwings vs 3 tie fighter + howl). All in all, its a very Get what you pay for upgrade
  11. @Fallenwolf15 What was the scum fleet building rules and what ships did they have access to? . I'd love to run this some time
  12. Has to be me and my regular sparring partner winning 10-1 in round 1 and catching each other at top table of Aus nats round 2, to then mutually table each other because we knew each other's lists inside and out. Was definitely the best game of armada I've ever had

  15. from my maths this is what I came up with as best rebels and imperials. MC 75 Armoured + Sato + EL + HIE + FCT + XX-9 + CF + Opening Salvo, dice = 19 dmg attacking front of enemy 75 + strategically placed MC75 aspiration shields and as 1 front and 5 right side, 1 left side and 6 rear. trigger HIE first to strip front and left side and - 1 on right side. both crits are projector mis for remaining shields to bring the total damage count to 32. ISD KUAT +EL + HIE + FCT + CF + Open salvos + 4 stack Devastator for a dice total = 28 dmg attacking MC75 Aspiration front with 1 front & both sides, + 6 rear shields, HIE 3 + projector mis for the rear 6 for a total damage count of 37
  16. All red actions are white in the android app for every ship
  17. Hey all, welcome back to another episode Renegade Fleet Command. This time we go a little off topic as we've been a little bit deep into X2 since the release. 19. Im so in for this. On another note @BrobaFett and @rasproteus. You better not let me down
  20. For me my best experience has to be winning a round 4 game at a nationals and having to stew with my nerves for the next 45 minutes to know if I made the cut as I'd finished my game in 90 minutes, and then finding out I did. my worst experience has to be during another tournament someone accidentally hit 2 of my mines with a CR90, immediately killing it, and despite having another 6, I had to convince him not to concede to keep the integrity of the tournament, he proceeded to tilt off the face of the earth and gave me a 9 or 8 pt win anyway but yeah, just pure salt.
  21. I agree with @Bertie Wooster about the communication thing. If I ever am planning on doing the hover place, I'll always ask "are you ok with me just hovering." if its ever close to a tight manoeuvre I would use a corner to mark the possible bumped ship and remove it. I think that if ever your opponent doesn't agree with hovering you shouldn't do it and should never quickly do it
  22. Hey all, I'm starting this thread to keep all of our notifications in one place, but with that out of the way, Hey everyone welcome back to RFC. this fortnight we are at the Irresistible Force Store championships where one of our hosts did very well and one didn't. we debut our new segment of this ain't my first rodeo, where we take an in depth look at a ship and how it works, along with providing our favourite ways to run it, this fortnight we have the MC80 Home One Variant. Finally we discuss tournament play and tournament etiquette around big wins and losses. we are also running a giveaway for a set of RFC alt arts, we have pictures of them up at our new facebook page and you must submit your list through the fleet builds section on our discord. As always we can be contacted on our discord at https://discord.gg/Hu4t3KK . our email is RenegadeFleetCommand@gmail.com and our new facebook page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/Rfleetcommand/ the podcast can be found on itunes by searching for Renegade Fleet Command in the podcast section. 23. Welcome back to Renegade Fleet Command. After a short hiatus due to no tournaments to talk about and no news, we're back with a wrap up of both. We also have the reports from our new segment top of the scrap heap, and we have some surprising and unsurprising results. We also have a guest host this time in Tweak, who has come in to talk with us about our recent Store Champs result. As always we can be contacted on our discord at https://discord.gg/Hu4t3KK, or on our email at Renegadefleetcommand@gmail.com The podcast can be found at Renegadefleetcommand.libsyn.com
  24. Hey I did a similar thing when starting, me and a friend split bought me rebels him imps. the way we managed it was we just pooled all non-specifics and used what we needed. if we were both wanting to use a specific card then whoever bought the pack it came in had first dibs. however for casual play you don't need to have cards, you can just use fleet builder. and for tournaments I'm sure there'd be a facebook group for your local scene, just post what you need and someone should be able to lend you stuff
