    As someone who hated 1.0 phantoms with every fibre of their body, I am very excited to try the 2.0 Phantom out.
    1.0 Phantoms were flaky as ****, relied on higher PS not skillful positioning, and literally took up half your list. Having a flimsy flanker as the backbone of your list was a complete dealbreaker for me, and hence why I swore off phantoms in 1.0.
    2.0 phantoms are dirt cheap. They will be the gnat of players lists, playing as a flanker should and distracting your opponent from the bulk of their list, and taking advantage of opponents if they ignore it. They actually got an initiative buff although they no longer rely so heavily on it, coupled with more constitution if you do end up in the wrong spot. They actually require planning and comprehension of the game, rather than just a reactionary decision like with 1.0 Whisper. I say Whisper not Phantom for good reason. It was Whisper or bust in 1.0, in 2.0 there is genuine potential in Echo and the generics. 2.0 Phantoms actually have an talent slot they can utilize now. In my opinion it also access to better crew in 0-0-0, 2.0 Kallus, Seventh Sister and Grand Inquisitor.
    They may have smashed the glass cannon that was the Phantom on the ground, but they built a much better ship out of its shattered remains.

    It's neither nerfed or buffed as far as I can see (which is not far), it's changed.
    I'm quite attracted to the new version, seems an ace like utility ship. The crew slot and cloak make it something quite different to everything else. With sensors as well, it should make for some interesting variant builds down the line.
    I'll miss the old super glass cannon but I won't miss it taking up half a list.

    The biggest winner of 2.0 is Iden versio aka Mutombo. Cant wait to wave the finger and say "no no no no no no" when Fenn rolls 5 hits on Howlrunner and Howlrunner blank out on greens.

    For my group of friends I built an online 2.0 card browser. It contains every spoiled card I could find, and I’ve been trying to keep it up to date when FFG releases better images. I’ve got the spoiled Quick Builds in there with some organization: you pick the build you like, and you can browse the upgrades of the build. The pilot cards also have the ship dials available for review.

    I’m gonna bet no because I think it could be argued that a stop isn’t the same “bearing” as a straight in game terms.

    So I've been playing 2.0 in FlyCasual with the Reaper quite a bit and man that takes some real getting used to. First off, as awesome as the 1-sloops are, on a medium base, they are so easy to block. The Reaper gets blocked to death or self-stresses almost every move. The best I can do is about one action every other turn. I've started doing better since I began deploying facing sideways and moving up a lot more slowly, but once it gets into the mess, you basically have to choose between getting shots and getting actions.
    Also, basically never fly 2.0 Krennic in a reaper. I've never successfully gotten a useful target lock because either you have no one in arc or you don't have an action. Putting him in an ST-321 Lambda would be so much more useful.
    Here's the thing: I'm pretty sure that the Lambda will be a vastly superior support ship to the Reaper in 2.0 (as it should be). Its ability to slow roll and range control are much, much better, and the fact that it can take advanced sensors is a lot bigger than you might expect. The Reaper isn't really a support ship at all. It's a troop carrier and gunship. It has a bunch of health and throws 3 dice, and it can block nicely and carry Death Troopers or Seventh Sister and ISB Slicers to put the hurt on your enemies passively. On the other hand, if you do need a cheap support ship, Electronic Baffle could be quite a solid option since it's long health and short actions.
    All these things will take a while to sort through, but I think the biggest message I'm getting is that the thematics are a lot better in 2.0: The Lambda is an amazing support ship with low maneuverability but a good capacity for actions. The Reaper is a cheap gunship and troop carrier that moves super fast, but has pretty abysmal action economy.

    I wouldn't say it confirms the wings don't move. He was just afraid to put any pressure on it. We have video of the wings moving.

    Except it is actual a Black Squadron Ace, with Outmaneuver, Shield upgrade AND Afterburners.

    Which, if we assume that Afterburners has equivalent cost to EU, in 1.0 costs it is:

    14+4+4+3, which is 25. Exactly 50 in 2.0 costs.

    Not even close to surprised
    Wampas new ability is in keeping with the canon
    Just think back to Ep V. Wampas blindsides a force sensitive Luke and knocks him the **** out. But when he approaches dead on, he gets amputated like a punk 
     
    As for trajectory sim, it's a case of "fly better". All these +red die TIEs don't need to be flying in formation, especially if you're running range 0-3 Sloane for support
    If anything, trajectory gives non-swarms a fighting chance. God knows I want to fly my dang punisher again, and NOT just to watch it get Swiss Cheesed by the Empire's most expendible

    Just want to point out that Seyn used her (his?) pilot ability to cancel a hit-crit to do one face down damage vs a 1 green die Y-wing at what looks like range 2.  Worst case, that does a crit.   Does that count as an article mistake?  Do I get a cookie?
