  1. Flown this list a fair bit. Obi-Wan Kenobi (53) Sense (6) R2 Astromech (4) Delta-7B (17) Synchronized Console (2) Gold Squadron Trooper (25) Homing Missiles (5) Synchronized Console (2) Gold Squadron Trooper (25) Homing Missiles (5) Synchronized Console (2) Gold Squadron Trooper (25) Synchronized Console (2) Gold Squadron Trooper (25) Synchronized Console (2) Total: 200 The homing missile-consol synergy is there for sure. Deploy in a block with the homing missile carriers at the back, move into range, take a tl with the missile carriers. Fire off the homing missiles then pass the locks forward for a focus TL shot from the front guys.
  2. Take this with a pinch of salt because my experience to date literally consists of about 5 games on fly casual, but the N1 is a very odd ship to fly. You don't feel like you are getting value unless you are triggering full throttle but it's very hard to keep in the fight if you are trying to pull 3+ speed moves all the time and without the white K-turn. The pricing is going to be very interesting. Somewhere in the a-wing region probably about right for me.
  3. Anakin Skywalker (60) R4-P17 (5) Calibrated Laser Targeting (10) "Jag" (49) Clone Commander Cody (3) R3 Astromech (3) Synchronized Console (2) Gold Squadron Trooper (25) Cluster Missiles (5) Synchronized Console (2) Gold Squadron Trooper (25) Cluster Missiles (5) Synchronized Console (2) Total: 196

    Points and formats

Hyperspace and extended aren't designed to represent different power levels. They represent different levels of options. The nature of extended is that there are more options which makes it more likely for some undercosted ships/upgrades/combos to sneak it, but hopefully this is something that is worked out over time with the points changes. Ultimately I would prefer to see much hyperspace than extended going forward with a majority of the factions having less available options.
  5. I took 2 delta squadron defenders + deathrain to a tournament at the weekend. I found deathrain as the 3rd ship to be pretty meh, but the defenders are still very strong, particularly in the end game because your opponent lacks the concentrated fire to put any real damage into them. They can frustrate you offensively because you are quite often chucking naked red dice back at them, but you will normally be able to grind your opponent down. I think a shuttle would be a good choice for the 3rd ship, for that co-ordinate to BR or boost so your 4k isn't blocked off or to be able to take a target lock for a boost to their offence. I think soontir could also be a decent choice as you then have 3 ships which are good in the end game, but your not going to have much of a bid.
  6. Ye it does do that, but I can also see the benefit of having it for those times where someone gets in position to block you. Very tough decision I think.
  7. The adv sensors vs FCS is an interesting question. Very possible that I'm still stuck in the first edition mindset that FCS is almost auto-take. I can see that adv sensors would certainly give him more flexibility, especially as the defender move-set is pretty predictable. I don't have too many qualms with taking hull off Soontir. I think I'll have to get use to flying him a different way, and keeping him a bit cheaper at least makes him a bit more dispensable. What's your experience with Soontir's options for EPTs? Obviously predator has synergy with his ability, but there are a couple of other interesting options, juke or lone wolf maybe? Thanks for the feedback!
  8. Hi all, Trying to pull together a decent list for my first 2.0 tournament soon. I'm fairly happy with Brath and the two academies, but I'm not entirely sure what to do with the remaining points. 63 points to play with which I've used for Soontir, but what are your thoughts on the load out? Different EPT? no hull and a bigger bid? I know you can also get redline with torps and adv sensors but I'm not sure I'd enjoy flying it as much. Alternatively I did think about vynder with torps, adv slam and some other upgrades to taste but I've flown him a couple of times and the PS4 puts him in a weird spot. TIE/in Interceptor - •Soontir Fel - 61 •Soontir Fel - Ace of Legend (52) Predator (2) Hull Upgrade (7) TIE/D Defender - •Rexler Brath - 91 •Rexler Brath - Onyx Leader (84) Juke (4) Fire-Control System (3) TIE/ln Fighter - Academy Pilot - 23 Academy Pilot - (23) TIE/ln Fighter - Academy Pilot - 23 Academy Pilot - (23) Total: 198/200
  9. I'm testing this at the moment, don't have enough data to say whether it is good, but it hits hard: RZ-1 A-wing - Phoenix Squadron Pilot - 30 Phoenix Squadron Pilot - (30) T-65 X-wing - Luke Skywalker - 77 •Luke Skywalker - Red Five (62) Proton Torpedoes (9) R2 Astromech (6) Servomotor S-foils (Open) (0) BTL-A4 Y-wing - “Dutch” Vander - 51 •“Dutch” Vander - Gold Leader (42) Proton Torpedoes (9) BTL-A4 Y-wing - Gray Squadron Bomber - 41 Gray Squadron Bomber - (32) Proton Torpedoes (9) Total: 199/200
  10. Don't know if I'm the only Linux user suffering with this, but when I open the program I can't select any options from the main menu so I'm stuck in a start screen limbo (Ubuntu 16.04)
  11. I actually played a list in my regional against a guy who was flying Kylo, Soontir and Wampa, with basically the same premise, try to kill more than Wampa's points value and then win the game on points. From a tournament perspective it places a high bar in terms of wins for the swiss as you have no chance of MOV pulling you into the cut. I think he made it to the top 8. I think Soontir might be a better choice than Blackout though. He has higher PS and can turtle up better. Not an easy list to fly by any means.
  12. The London regional takes place at Warboar Games in Bromley this weekend. There will be two flights, one on Saturday and one on Sunday with day 2 and the cut taking place next Sunday (11th Feb) with around 180 players participating. There will be no live stream on any day, due to internet limitations at the venue, but games will be recorded on both Sundays (flight 2 and the cut) and uploaded to the TNX Warboar youtube channel shortly after. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCX1m-FLXrOhM9067yVH6iGA We will also be posting updates of the action on our instagram (tnx_xwing) https://www.instagram.com/tnx_xwing/ For those of you attending, keep an eye out for those of us wearing TNX Squadron t-shirts. There may be some swag available for those of you who we are privileged enough to play.

  14. By the same token, ion as well. It shuts down Fenn's ability because if he uses it he won't be able to clear the stress next turn.
  15. I've been thinking of trying something like this: Rho Squadron Veteran (21) Crack Shot (1) Ion Cannon (3) Linked Battery (2) Long-Range Scanners (0) XG-1 Assault Configuration (1) Countess Ryad (34) Push the Limit (3) Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1) TIE/x7 (-2) Colonel Vessery (35) Juke (2) Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1) TIE/x7 (-2) Total: 100 From experience defenders are pretty strong in the alpha strike harpoon meta (as long as you can avoid being caught by too many at once) and I'm thinking that ion could be a good control piece against small base low agility ships (possible even high agility ships if the defenders can strip tokens) which drop reveal bombs or like green moves (looking at you Miranda and Poe).
