I hate to start a new forum for a new game with a negative, but this is going to be a hard pass for me, at least for the time being.  They didn’t even finish 2E.  I’m also not a fan of the artwork, and the characters aren’t even the same. 
 
i don’t know. I’m sure someone is excited about this, but at that price tag I’m just wishing more of those resources would have been put into 2E.

Sure this year threw a monkey wrench in things. But that doesn't change the reality that FFG has a very noticeable pattern of not growing these games much bigger than it is now. And they've publicly commented that they need to be better about limiting the number of expansion more than they were.
With covid who knows, but I would have expected a DLC about a year after PoS and maybe one last small box after that. But PoS does not appear to have sold well so even that's a long shot. It's entirely plausible that they will just cut their losses.

I drilled a 7/64 hole in them. Just to obsess some of the holes are more toward the center and some are toward the edge for the minis with their legs apart and those two options seems to center all the small minis well. Weirdly some of the pegs are a little thick, I ended up reaming out the holes on a couple to deal with that. I also didn't make bases for most of the minis. Just enough that I won't run out during a scenario.

It's not actually as hard as all that, a bunch of amateurs have done it and done a good job.

Oh, did not know that @ComtriS. It seems that it was already doomed by the time they announcement it . It would be great if someone could find screenshots (which they had on their web), since their website is already down and I did not find any

Plenty of artworks are shared between Terrinoth games and usually they are exactly the same. But not Archaic Scroll, which have different background in Battlelore and also in Rune Age: Oath and Anvil

Interesting that it's still journeys in the dark instead of legend of the dark.

Fun fact Descent 1st edition actually had a stomach tile. Ice Wyrms could swallow a hero alive, in which case they would be placed on the stomach tile and continue their fight from the inside. https://www.descentinthedark.com/_s_/swallow.php

Happy for anyone who was able to get it. This one is pretty unique among the hero and monster packs.

Every single non FFG game I own has them. But the cardboard would be perfectly fine, if they'd spent a second figuring out how it would work for me. Like I said, they're printing on the wrong side.

Still it's a minor frustration to me that if they just printed on the other side of the insert or made it easier to reverse the folds, a lot of the time I'd have a nice looking divider, at least unless/until I filled the box with expansions.
My major point is the box is not that big, it's the size of an expansion box and most of it is empty space.

Other board game manufacturers have figured out how to do exactly that, it's not hard.

There are a ton of those expansions out there. Hopefully the scalpers will move on and you'll be able to find slightly used copies when things cool down.

Casino dice are quite different. They're machined instead of injection molded, so they don't shink unevenly in the mold as the plastic cools. Nor do they need to go through a rock tumbler to get rid of the mold marks (which makes the dice even more uneven). Casino dice are translucent, your dice are not which means there could be an air bubble in there and you'd never know. And that X is a whole bunch of missing plastic which casino dice with their perfectly filled pips don't have.

Yeah that's why Runebound and Runewars failed.

Game is great!  Waiting for more! Maybe small cheaper  expansions with 1-2 monsters and 1-2 long scenarios?  I think we got enough of tiles. 😆

Like I said before it's just a pet peeve that they could make things better without spending any more money just by changing which side they print on.
My actual complaint is that I bought a box of air, with a little bit of game in it.
Still the insert thing is one of many signs that routinely make me question how much playtesting actually gets done over at FFG.
 
 

They did that some in realms of terrinoth and it turned out ok. Here's hoping they didn't screw up that gimmick this time.
