  5. So I like the new silencer model better than the old one. How treasonous is it to use the chad silencer as a target lock token for the new one?
  6. FO generics seem to be pretty well costed across the board; every time I play them I throw some generic tie fos or zetas in there and they always seem to perform above their cost. It seems like a faction that if Blair picked up we would all lose.

  9. It's a very powerful ability, it's similar to the force in x wing. Think of the combinations you can do, like having a z-6 squad move and shoot but now have access to the surge results. It plays really well with the clones, as you can use the fire support keyword to have a DC-15A squad with some surge tokens support a z-6 squad, and all of a sudden you have a very large dice pool with a good amount of surge results. It's going to be fun.
  10. I really wish N1s had come out the 6th. It's the ship I've been wanting to play for months, and I've really just lost all motivation to play any x wing until the points update and the new wave comes out. Combination of rebels being good which means the game is bad, paired with a delayed wave and a points update on the horizon has rekt me bois.

  12. How much is rebel beef a percent of swiss and the cut? I think it's around 40% of swiss if I remember correctly, which is obscene considering there are 7 factions, and meta wing is just filled with rebel beef pilots being at the top. Next points update needs to be heavy handed, Leia should go to at least 6, and all the named pilots that are being problems need to got up quite a bit. People who are sitting here saying, oh Braylen at 47, who gets rerolls for offence and defence the entire round with focus mods, should only go up like 2 points? Just to put it into context so people understand, in 1.0 money that's 23.5 points to 24.5 points, which clearly is not even close to a significant enough increase. I'd pay 52 points for that ability in a heartbeat, and I haven't even gone into the rest of their pilots that rebels get to choose from. The rebel faction gets to take the most meta defining upgrade card, and bring with it 4 of their best named pilots from a plethora of their best ships, with points for other upgrades. The time on target, health, mods, and pilots these rebel beef lists bring is crazy, and entirely what 2.0 was trying to stop. I'd expect major changes to Rebels come July, and a wave of Rebel players saying their faction is unplayable when it's really not. They just actually have to pay for good abilities and make decisions like other factions have too.
  13. Omicron palp shuttle, soontir with predator and shield upgrade, and either Rexlar with predator or naked Ryad. Comes out to 200 exactly, I just can't decide which defender I want. I think you want Rexlar because i4 at 200 is too risky with phantoms.
  14. @Biophysical I see you too are a man of culture as well. I also thought about what we had to do in 1.0 to beat turrets, and I drifted to a palp defender and kitted out Soontir list once fat Han came about, and it's been money. It does exactly what I want it to do, not die to 3 ship lists or lower. Turns out Palp aces are good at lots of mods and not taking damage, it was unknowable.
  15. They finally come out with usable alt arts for pilots that we actually use, and we can only play for one of them. This makes me sad.
  16. Vultures are bad, but isn't that the point? They are supposed to be the worst ship avaliable, but they have networked calc to give them a real reason to be brought.
  17. That bomb is one of the most cancerous things I've seen in x wing, and it can be launched by trajectory simulator and some hyena bombers. P A N I C A N I C
  18. Can confirm, I put a swarm on the table and somebody walked up to me and was like "wow that's an impressive formation you have going on". What have the people been brainwashed into thinking.
  19. It's not even a game if your opponent chases after the shuttle, they just never kill it before they lose too much or all of their list.

He is clearly at his most powerful in a meta of 2-3 ship lists, but because he gained his full information part of his ability back when you are playing those higher ship count lists you'll know when you need to spend him. I personally like 2.0 Palp better than 1.0 nerfed Palp because of this. The fact that hes cheaper than his 1.0 self and he gets to go on the lambda, which I'd argue might be the best support ship in the game, is another reason I love to bring him.
  21. To be fair, I've played a lot of Palp in 2.0 extended and I've been trying to convince people that he is super good. A big factor is there hasn't been a single non hyperspace event in the southeast US since 2.0 released, so we just don't play extended often and focus almost entirely on hyperspace. May 25th can't come soon enough 😎
  22. Problem with quiz right now is you have to take supernatural to get value out of him, but that means you'll very rarely use his pilot ability. You're just trying to find the range 1 spot to shoot a 3 dice gun without spending a force because you have none. He needs to cost considerably cheaper for me to start considering him over a defender.
  23. If they printed quiz with 3 force he would have been much more playable. But right now I think defenders outclass supernatural quiz. I think quiz is harder to kill, but he can't put out the damage a defender can for only slightly more points invested into the defender, who nets you basically the same thing quiz is doing but you can have a 4 dice range 1 shot. And having Han be the first thing to worry about in the meta, quiz just can't get the damage into him at all.
  24. I think it should have its pilots reprinted in an upgrade pack and just reprint the pilot cards to make the ship actually playable. It's just bad all around right now. It's hindered by a terrible dial, terrible action bar, terrible ship restrictions like no bow tie turret and even the title only makes it 3 out the front. If they go and change the action bar and things like the single arc turret and how it interacts with the title, you could probably work around the dial. Its not the only ship I feel could go this way to getting help from this use of packs. Grand Inquisitor for example would be way more playable with 3 force, Vader with purple evade is also an idea thats been put out there before that could also come out. They did say when 2.0 was revealed that the reason we have the little subtitles on our pilots was so they could reprint them too have different iterations out of the same pilot, so heres hoping they follow through on that.
