  1. Just as the title asks; bought it thinking it was something new for 2nd Edition which is what I own. Thanks!

Always start with the most advanced rules first, it helps you figure out all of the little nuances while you are learning rather than basically have to relearn the game during a later playthrough. Then use the basic rules to teach others using a shortened game altogether. Just a general rule of thumb I use, but it works for me.
  3. Based on a couple of play-throughs I think it's pretty well balanced in terms of how it works, it really makes your strategy and skill critical when determining what to do on any given turn, regardless of which side.
  4. Rulebooks are poorly written, but the rules themselves are sound. It's a very good board game and has a good Star Wars feel to it.
