  1. So my friend and I are trying to fit our favourite large ships into 300 points games. Minimising upgrades and squadrons. I do all the list building as he isn't a hardcore gamer like me.   2. so ive got afew games under my belt, gone crazy and bought a bunch of new ships to expand on my collection and now keen to get into 400 point games. most of the time these fleets are gonna be played between me and my partner so theme has been a driving force but im abit slow when it comes to upgrades. for both fleets ive tried to use everything in my collection bar the victory from the starter, i love the idea of big groups of squadrons zooming around and have been trying to make the fleets balance.   4. I was thinking of adding a second cr 90 to my rebel fleet or a flotilla. Cr 90 are easier to get a hold of though. But for the empire I wasn't sure? Defs wanna get a gozanti carrier. But would an ISD 2 and acquitens and gozanti be viable? Or a gladiator? 2x arquitens thematicaly sounds fun or even an ISD and interdictor. Not really sure if I wanted to use the victory atm. So I've not been playing armada for long and looking to buy my first large ships My partner and I mostly play together so I want something relatively balanced but able to against friends fleets For the empire I own the core set victory and arquitens aswell as imp squadrons 1and want to pick up the isd For rebels I have the core cr-90. Nebulon b and rebel squadrons 1 and am thinking of getting either the liberty or home one ( really hard choice) Are these enough ships for 400 points? The lists I've come up with are these. I want to use the core ships but am happy to drop the victory if need be. I love all the squadrons so tried to incorporate all of them in somehow. Home one would definitely be better for my squadrons but the liberty is just so cool! For each fleet are these enough ships? Is 100 points to much for upgrades? I want both to be squadron heavy as I find that aspect of the game fun. Help me with my lists please
  6. Thanks for the help! I managed to pick up an arquitens an a second cr90 for cheap. Thinking I might pick up a flotilla for the rebels. Hammerheads are hard to find atm so I dropped them from my shopping list. Now I'm keen on getting a large ship for the rebels to take on the victory though not very keen on the space whale but everyone says the gladiator is a must buy
  7. I recently got the core box. Finally!! and after a few great games I think I'm ready to expand to 300 points. I got the rebel and imperial squadrons boxes just to make my squadrons more flexible and interesting but wondering what first ships I should buy. I don't have a huge budget so I thought just getting a second cr90 Corvette or hammerhead and a arquitens cruiser. Is this a good first purchase with the current waves? Will the smaller rebel ships be able to take the victory? I would like to keep the 2 fleets balanced as I'll be collecting for both. I have looked at other articles but they are often outdated and don't feature any of the newer ships. Any help for my first purchases would be awsome.
  8. So I bought armada not long ago. Can't believe I waited so long. Loving this game I also bought a assault frigate. Gladiator. Imperial cruiser aswell as rebel and imperial squadrons I' m still working out upgrades but know I want 3 ships for each side. And hopefully 1 of each fighter to add for flavour. So far I have for rebels Assault frigate b Dodona Nebulon b escort frigate Cr 90 corvette a Wedge Tycho 1x x wing 1x a wing 1x b wing 1x y wing Empire I got Victory star destroyer a Admiral screed Gladiator a Light cruiser Howlrunner Major rhymer 2x tie fighter 2x tie interceptor Not sure what upgrades I need though so far Empire is at 279 points and rebels are 276 points. Is that enough for upgrades? How should I fit them?
  9. So I got into x-wing alil while ago. Only had a few games. I liked the look of the aces and veterans boxes but decided to get the individual ships. So I have a core box. A wing. B wing. Tie bomber and tie defender. So I thought 2 balanced lists list like this. Rebels Tycho celchu Push the limit proton rockets 32 points Wedge antilles Dead eye Proton torpedoes R5 astromech 35 points Ibtisam Autoblaster 33 points 100 points total And for Empire Colonel vessery Predator Ion canon 41 points Captain jonus Ion pulse missiles Seismic charges 27 points Mauler mithel Squad leader 19 points Obsidion squad 13 points 100 points total I wanted to have all named pilots but couldn't fit them all with Empire. Any help would be cool
