  1. I’m going to a tournament soon and expect the opposition to be SSD fleets and anti-SSD fleets. I’m hoping this might be an answer to both those types of fleet. Doctor Death and Partners (400/400) Empire Commander: Moff Jerjerrod Objectives: Doomed Station, Marked for Destruction, Rift Ambush [flagship] Interdictor Suppression Refit (90) - Moff Jerjerrod (23) - Interdictor (3) - Targeting Scrambler (5) - Grav Shift Reroute (2) - SW-7 Ion Batteries (5) - Disposable Capacitors (3) - Taskmaster Grint (5) - Projection Experts (6) = 142 total points Imperial Star Destroyer Kuat Refit (112) - Electronic Counter Measures (7) - Leading Shots (4) - External Racks (3) = 126 total points Victory I-class Star Destroyer (73) - Harrow (3) - Expert Shield Tech (5) - External Racks (3) - Engine Techs (8) - XI7 Turbolasers (6) - Ordnance Experts (4) = 102 total points Squadrons (30/134): 1x Ciena Ree TIE Interceptor Squadron (17) 1x Valen Rudor TIE Fighter Squadron (13) This was originally an Interdictor and 2 Kuats list but it had no squadron cover at all. I would, ideally, have LTTs on the VSD and a bid, but I’ve stripped the Kuat down as much as I feel comfortable. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
  2. It’s already on the shelf ready to buy here...
  3. You don’t seem to have any means of triggering All Fighters Follow Me repeatedly or do you just plan on flying the Pelta really far from the fighting not contribute in any other way? You might want to put a Comms net flotilla in there or stick Raymus and Ahsoka on the Pelta. Ackbar’s YT-1300 is going to get left behind by the other squads and won’t benefit from AFFM either.
  4. If it is an ISD, it might just be the wreckage of one. Maybe they’ve gone back to Jakku. Why does everyone want to go back to Jakku?!
  5. @Kylemcph240 My thinking with QBTs and intensify firepower is that you are guaranteed an accuracy and a minimum of one hit with every attack, provide you are going slower than you opponent. However, I have very little experience flying ISDs, so if you think it is unlikely I’ll be flying slower than my opponents, I will try something else. Thanks.
  6. @Kylemcph240 I think balancing the points out is a good suggestion. Do you mean “interesting” in a good way? @Cleto0 The lack of defensive retrofits are a bit of a concern for me, but I feel I need anti-squadron assets hence the raider. Let me know how you get on on Sunday.
  7. I’d like to try flying an imperial fleet for a change. What do you think of this list? Vader’s Vengeance (396/400) Empire Commander: Darth Vader Objectives: Contested Outpost, Solar Corona, Station Assault [flagship] Imperial Star Destroyer Cymoon 1 Refit (112) - Darth Vader (36) - Intensify Firepower! (6) - Wulff Yularen (7) - Quad Battery Turrets (5) - H9 Turbolasers (8) - Gunnery Team (7) = 181 total points Imperial Star Destroyer Cymoon 1 Refit (112) - Quad Battery Turrets (5) - H9 Turbolasers (8) - Gunnery Team (7) = 132 total points Raider I-class Corvette (44) - Flechette Torpedoes (3) - Ordnance Experts (4) = 51 total points Squadrons (32/134): 4x Tie Fighter Squadron (32)
  8. Sounds fun. How about SW7s on the CR90s? They guarantee 3 damage (or 5 if you double arc) plus 1 for concentrate fire, before you make your escape. You would need to ditch the GR-75 or other upgrades though.
  9. It’s a bit of an unconventional fleet. Neb Bs aren’t really designed well for Ackbar, especially in large numbers. You really want to avoid being shot in the sides of your Nebs - only one shield and no redirects - so ideally keep things to their front or rear, which goes against Ackbar’s strengths. Ackbar would be useful for finishing off anything that tries to escape around the sides but really you want to focus on crippling them with your front beforehand. I suppose it could work (I’m sure people on here will have got it to work), but you’d have to approach it in a different way to other Ackbar fleets. Cheaper turbolaser upgrades that work well on Nebs are Dual Turbolaser Turrets or Quad Battery Turrets. 10. Thanks. It’s that website’s Ackbar page that gave me the idea for Scout, Enhanced Armament, and Caitken and Shollan in the first place.
  11. Thanks @Herr Style. I think this is a good idea, though it’s pretty expensive with Admonition (which seems obligatory) and either ordnance experts or Caitken and Shollan. I have the points but it reduces my bid to 5/3 depending on weapons team I take and if I swap out DCO for SA. @jbrandmeyer Thanks for breaking all that down. I appreciate all the effort, especially the extra effort to clarify it for non-mathematicians like me. I think you’ve convinced me that using C&S is worth it.
  12. That’s what Caitken and Shollan are there for. I just have to hope that, at close range, I won’t have to make a difficult choice between rerolling red and rerolling black. People always recommend cards I don’t have 😢😂. Would H9s work instead of sensor teams or do you think that’s a wasted turbolaser slot?
  13. So you think I should just replace the enhanced armament with ex racks/ACMs? Or would you recommend dropping it down to a torpedo frigate?
  14. Which of these do you think is a better list for a regionals? Any suggestions for improvements would be appreciated. Ackbar’s Defiance (396/400) Rebels Commander: Admiral Ackbar Objectives: Advanced Gunnery, Fire Lanes, Intel Sweep [flagship] MC80 Assault Cruiser (114) - Admiral Ackbar (38) - Defiance (5) - Electronic Counter Measures (7) - Reinforced Blast Doors (5) - Leading Shots (4) - Damage Control Officer (5) - Engine Techs (8) - XI7 Turbolasers (6) = 192 total points MC30c Torpedo Frigate (63) - Admonition (8) - External Racks (3) - Enhanced Armament (10) - Ordnance Experts (4) = 88 total points CR90 Corvette B (39) - SW-7 Ion Batteries (5) = 44 total points CR90 Corvette B (39) = 39 total points Squadrons (33/134): 1x Shara Bey A-wing Squadron (17) 1x Tycho Celchu A-Wing Squadron (16) Ackbar’s Defiance 2 (394/400) Rebels Commander: Admiral Ackbar Objectives: Advanced Gunnery, Fire Lanes, Intel Sweep [flagship] MC80 Assault Cruiser (114) - Admiral Ackbar (38) - Defiance (5) - Reinforced Blast Doors (5) - Electronic Counter Measures (7) - Leading Shots (4) - Damage Control Officer (5) - Engine Techs (8) - XI7 Turbolasers (6) = 192 total points CR90 Corvette A (44) - Jaina's Light (2) - Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7) = 53 total points CR90 Corvette A (44) - Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7) = 51 total points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) - Comms Net (2) = 20 total points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) - Comms Net (2) = 20 total points Squadrons (58/134): 3x X-Wing Squadron (39) 1x Moldy Crow - Jan Ors (19) Ackbar’s Defiance 3 (391/400) Rebels Commander: Admiral Ackbar Objectives: Advanced Gunnery, Fire Lanes, Intel Sweep [flagship] MC80 Assault Cruiser (114) - Admiral Ackbar (38) - Defiance (5) - Reinforced Blast Doors (5) - Electronic Counter Measures (7) - Leading Shots (4) - Damage Control Officer (5) - Engine Techs (8) - XI7 Turbolasers (6) = 192 total points MC30c Scout Frigate (69) - Admonition (8) - Enhanced Armament (10) - Caitken and Shollan (6) = 93 total points CR90 Corvette A (44) - Jaina's Light (2) - Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7) = 53 total points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) - Comms Net (2) = 20 total points Squadrons (33/134): 1x Tycho Celchu A-Wing Squadron (16) 1x Shara Bey A-wing Squadron (17)
