  1. To defend against an attack is not rude or hypocritical. To call out that someone routinely attacks in a method that demands a response, is not rude, it is trying to get that behavior to stop. You, specifically are violently rude. I wanted to respond to your call out with just the response you are baiting, but I will not this time. To be rude, then to taunt based on that defense, is rude.
  2. When defending against an attack, no it does not. When inciting, like that comment you just posted did... then yes, that is why you are on that list. That is your MO, you incite anger then taunt/ridicule when people respond to the inciting comments. I posted 2 examples already, I can post more if you need evidence of your behavior. I posted based on your comments in the 2 listed closed threads that I had no part of, there was a note based on past behavior but it was mostly due to those 2 threads. Look at the way Maelora and kaosoe responded versus you and 2P51, that is 100% of my point.
  3. There are two points I will list separately It IS rude. He was stating (passive aggressively) that I am not civil. If you do not see that as rude, that is a lack of understanding of what rude is on your part. Now was that an "attack" style rude? that is debatable, but it is a 100% fact it is rude. >To the 99% of us should probably.... No you shouldn't delete your accounts, but you should stop being rude and then blaming the victim for defending themselves. It was rude to passive aggressively call me not a civil adult, yes. 2 reasons you didn't; You still try to be civil in the middle of fighting the others on the list are causing. While I saw a few inciting remarks (okay, several) it wasn't every thread you were part of.
  4. As you wish Evidence provided. The ball is in your court. =)
  5. If you watch carefully (and I know you do,) you can generally see the who, why, and how of this. I fail to understand why we can't all just be the civil adults we know we can be. It really is a few repeat customers that think we don't notice when they grab a new moniker. We notice. Odd the last two threads to be locked I did not contribute to. https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/205728-range-bands/page-10 https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/199244-pettiness/page-7 The consistent thing you can see in any locked post, is that as soon as anger happens, you can see multiple people attack the perceived threat, really fast. You can also see a lot of passive aggressive baiting words/comments. It is usually done by either stating there comment is wrong with no supporting evidence or outright insulting then complaining when the target of the insult responds. You can see this behavior in those two threads when I had zero to do with. The repeat customers that are the issue, are using a consistent moniker. If you need a list of the offending parties I will provide them in a list below, without the "you know who you are" kind of passive aggressiveness. There will be lots of rude comments whenever you see the following people in a post. Desslok 2P51 bradknowles whafrog HappyDaze RichardBuxton themensch DanteRotterdam kaosoe rgrove0172 The more of that list you get in a thread, the more likely it will turn into a locked thread. You want to get rid of the likelihood of a locked post? remove all of the people from that list, and you will not have a locked post. I challenge you to find a locked post in this forum that they did not have their hand in.
  6. Actually, a few of the posts I have contributed to this thread have been quite on topic. =) I have actually tried multiple times to turn others' derailments (including your own) back onto the original topic. Only to have your next post be off topic, and typically aimed at attacking me, with a "no-tagbacks" clause added to the insults. The method of stating "he is being rude and derailing things, the meanie", then stating "I told him to stop being a meanie", is an insult. I am not mean for defending against that insult. I am especially not rude when I have tried multiple times to get it back on topic. The method of discourse employed by you, is rude, whether you intended it to be or not. Additionally, it is not conducive to debate or discussion. A few examples of quotes from my posts. Onto the point you were trying to make, yes it is very fun to be surrounded by people that get excited by the same things you do. I will remind you that the thread is about being excited to be surrounded by people that like the same stuff. I agree it is fun to be surrounded by people that like similar things. The thread title was about observations of the forums. The Original Post was about "Enthusiasm being shared is fun". The bulk of the thread has been about proving that the enthusiasm is unfortunately not shared, but instead the enthusiasm is dividing the forum more than it is bringing it together. I apologize if you were offended by me pointing out that your original comment about bullying was inappropriate, but that 100% did not make my comment inaccurate, or deserve the anger you have thrust my way. As someone that has been negatively affected by bullying in the past I wanted to point out something you may not have realized was offensive, and to educate you on why it was offensive. I tried to do this in a precisely worded comment that was without malice and without anger. Also, I purposely attempted to prevent the derailment of your thread with stating that was the only intent of the comment. I understand this triggered something within you (and potentially within others in the forums) that caused you to go on the defensive about that comment being called out. I also understand that me commenting, on your additional comments, has also somehow been taken as an attack on you, when it was nothing of the sort. Since my first post, you have taken an adversarial path towards my comments, regardless of their content, which has turned, what could have been a "hey, I didn't mean my comment to be interpreted that way, I will be more careful in the future" teachable-type moment, into a thread that is fully derailed, with people straying far away from the intent of the thread. I hope that in the future you take a simple comment about an accidental offense you caused, as "information" rather than taking it as an attack.
  7. I commented multiple times on the threads topic, but also responded to your direct attacks by quoting YOU. I took you "out of context" ? No, I took out the part where you derailed your own thread because the lines I quoted were directly related to the comment I was making about those comments. Saying "I hate fish. Grey bears are sillier to me than Brown Bears. Oh and fish are smelly too", does not mean that I have to quote the bear comment, when only referencing your stance on fish. The Bear comments were not relevant to the fish comment, so it was removed from the quotes. =) Now once again, I will try to get back on the thread topic. The thread title was about observations of the forums. The Original Post was about "Enthusiasm being shared is fun". The bulk of the thread has been about proving that the enthusiasm is unfortunately not shared, but instead the enthusiasm is dividing the forum more than it is bringing it together.
  8. I like to have the Players decide on the route first. That way if the flight ends up with threat/failures/off course... they can be interpreted based on that path. It has so far served my groups pretty well.
  9. Irony, at its finest. On topic of the threat, I do see how the thread was "hey this is fun (unneeded confrontation added as a joke) yeah awesome!" and it became sidetracks/derails/confrontations at multiple angles, all turning it into a good example of most threads on this forum. I agree it is fun to be surrounded by people that like similar things. I do wish that liking similar things meant there could be less fighting/anger related to differences of opinion of those shared items of enjoyment.
  10. How does one (knowing the game better), have anything to do with the other (blindness)?
  11. A post on facebook was telling me that yesterday being 3/14/16 made it "Rounded Pi Day" if that helps you feel better. =) Sadly that wasn't Pi day for the rest of the world, where the standard is DD/MM/YY Indeed even if you do your calendar different, it was still pi day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi_Day "Pi Day is observed on March 14 (3/14 in the month/day date format) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π" Being that the first official observance of it was in America, the rest of the world that decides they want to have fun with math or pie, follow our lead. Yes lots understand there are lots of places that do things different than America, but every once in a while, when something originates here, we really don't have to conform to everyone else, it is now their turn to conform to us.
  12. A post on facebook was telling me that yesterday being 3/14/16 made it "Rounded Pi Day" if that helps you feel better. =)
  13. As much as these are going out of their way to derail the thread by posting comments that are demanding responses, I will remind you that the thread is about being excited to be surrounded by people that like the same stuff. The off-topic comments based on the bad joke, pretty much show why it should not have been typed/posted.
